If you allow us to call in an order ahead, that we can pick up, please don’t make us wait in a line. Yes I see that you have a to-go line but it was unattended. And if you screw up and forget to do my order, fess up and let me know instead of having me wait for an order I called in 15 minutes ago. Now checking the food… soggy… Unsatisfactory. …sad when I have to write a bad review… Check 189 June 24

My favorite sandwich shop in San Clemente. They cook all their meats in house, the bread is always fresh and they serve a good, and always changing selection of craft beer from local breweries.

This is the BEST sandwich place ever!!! The bread, meat and sauce is absolutely delicious and always fresh and tasty. It’s such a fun and casual place to meet friends, have lunch along with a beer and hang out on the patio. We’ve been to several locations around the OC and have never been disappointed. Thank you for providing constantly delicious sandwiches!

Food was great, i love the pastrami so much that i have trouble ordering anything else. Beer rotation is always on point and the staff is always super friendly, one of my favorite lunch spots.

This place is just awesome. Has an amazing atmosphere, great brews and of course, the food is delicious. They have hot and cold sandwiches with different types of bread. The sandwiches are great, but their special sauce makes them! It’s somewhat like sweet and sour, which sounds bad but it is so good. My favorite is getting a hot sandwich with the sauce to dip in. Clean and family friendly!

Perfect pastrami sandwich with sauce. Try it with extra mustard. it’s BOMB!!! It’s a huge portion. I always ask for extra foil and bag so I can take home the other half. Will be coming back!

We have been back several times since the last review and have not been disappointed. To date the bread we wanted has been available so no unhappy campers. I also had a chance to try my first beer here and it was awesome to enjoy it in a frozen glass — very cold! Thanks Bret C. for responding to my previous review. Many owners would have ignored it.

One of my favorite places! I come here all the time with my dad, or whole family! I always get the Turkado with lots of the secret sauce! The sandwiches are so massive I always split it with someone. Also love all the beer they have there. The happy hour is great, especially the Tuesday happy hour where it is $ 2 off of most beers!

I’ve been coming here for the past few years. Not once have I been disappointed. Try the chicken club and say«yes» to the special sauce they throw on the side.

My husband brought me here and it was delicious. It’s a small specialty sandwich/brew shop between Walmart and Albertson’s. I got the turkeyvocado sandwich which had an awesome seasoned avocado spread. Definitely a must if you’re in the area. The guys working there are very friendly too. Don’t think about it, just go!

Hands down one of the best sandwich stops around. Very organized friendly service and if you call in your order there is a fast moving pick up line for those orders. Easy pass for hungry, or time strapped lunchers. On to the food. I ordered the Veggie sandwich and it exceeded my expectations. On squaw bread, there was an ample and filling arrangement of cheddar and jack cheese, sliced cucumbers, onions, lettuce, onions, tomatoes, avacado, and a healthy dose of sprouts. Overall, delicious and refreshing lunch without that stuffed feeling. Clean, with indoor and outdoor seating options and a small bar area. Loads of large screen tvs that had on an English soccer match. Great find!

Order over the phone, walk past everyone who’s waiting in the long line, pay at the special Call-In register. BOOM! You’ve got your delicious, healthy sandwich in no time. The veggie is under $ 6. I go here at least once a week because it is the fastest, cheapest healthy food around. I appreciate that they discount the price of the Veggie Supreme because it costs less to make a meatless sandwich. Some other restaurants charge the same amount for veggies and meat sandwiches and I take it with slight offense. I also appreciate that ordering to-go here doesn’t result in tons of plastic and styrofoam waste. If I was going to customize Board and Brew for my greedy self, I would reduce the amount of cheese on the veggie. Reduce the amount of meat on the Turkado in half and replace it with more healthy veggies… actually I’d replace half of the meat on all the sandwiches with more healthy veggies. But that’s just my personal preference. I would add a touch of spice to their sauce. I’d add electrical plugs and wifi and some hooks for a bring-your-own-hammock section on the patio ;)

I honestly feel like this place is so overrated and I can not figure out why. I came here on a Saturday for lunch with my family, and there were a billion people here, so we figured it must be really good. There was a bit of a line and a wait to get the food, and I will say that I was not very impressed with the service. I was with my grandparents who had a few questions about things on the menu, and the people working were very impatient and a little rude. It was an unfortunate way to start the experience here. I ordered the cobb salad, which was a decent size. However, it was dry and completely flavorless. I would not ever come here for that again. We also had some different sandwiches, which also were a bit dry. They weren’t bad by any means, but were not anything that I would write home about. The turkey club and the turkey deluxe were just pretty bland in my opinion. Not a bad place to eat, but nothing that I thought was too great. And the service did not help to make the experience any better, unfortunately.

Good sandwiches. I don’t drink, but if I did, this place has some local Micro brew beers available. fair price for what I got and they do not skimp on the meat.

Love the sandwiches here, there’s something for everyone. My personal favorites, the Turkado; turkey, avocado, cheese, onion, lettuce, tomato, and mayo(I sub on baguette) sometimes I add bacon. This sandwich on baguette is pretty huge so I usually take half home. Enjoy with a Honey Blonde on tap, yummy! The Veggie Supreme is tasty and hits the spot with cucumbers, sprouts, lettuce, tomato, avocado and cheese on squaw bread. Lastly the California Delight with turkey, cream cheese, sunflower seeds, sprouts, and tomato make for a delightful meal with a nice crunch. Don’t forget the sweet and sour sauce! The lines are long, but they move quickly and I can always find a seat.

Went out to San Clemente for the day with the boyfriend. we wanted to eat a light lunch, so I came across this sandwich shop. Looked up the menu and everything sounded really good, so we decided to try it out. Sandwiches were fresh and jammed packed full of food. I got the veggie sandwich on sourdough and the BF got the roast beef dip spicy. However the sides and drinks are separate, but the prices are pretty good.

This is my first time here and I must say it was a very pleasant experience. The staff was very friendly and we both got a good laugh out of me mispronouncing the name of the sandwich I ordered. I will definitely come back again and will highly recommend it to my friends.

Board & Brew, truly great sandwiches at great prices. I’ve been to a ton of sandwich places and I have to say Board & Brew takes the prize for the best sandwiches at the best prices so far. Subway take notes! These guys know how to make a sandwich and they actually put meat on it. Additionally, their sweet & sour sauce(not to be confused with the Asian version and should be renamed to «Miracle Sauce») is amazing on practically any sandwich. Before I left I was looking around to see if they had bottles of it somewhere. FOODINORDEROFWHAT I LIKEDBEST === BAJACHICKEN(Rating 5) So I wised up. I like jalapenos, but not a ton of them so after my last visit getting the Baja Beef, I asked them to go light on the jalepenos. They got it just right! This thing has grilled onions, jalpenos, melted jack cheese and is on a French Baguette. They add some mayo, tomato and lettuce and you’re off! The chicken is marinated with a great flavor as well so the sandwich is bursting with flavor. I like it allot! Yes, I add the miracle sauce as well. Visit 8÷14÷2015 Rating 5: Great as usual! TURKEYCLUB(Rating 5) Again, add the sweet and sour to get the most out of this sandwich but even without it it’s fantastic. BAJABEEF(Rating 4) A few too many jalapenos for me,(I pulled a few off). Adding the sweet & sour sauce to this made it delicious! A truly unique flavor I’ll be back for. GREENSALAD(Rating 4) So my wife LOVES this. It’s her new favorite salad and I have to say the ingredients are fresh and of high quality. Add to that a home made Italian dressing that is extremely novel(slight honey taste which sounds horrible as I’m writing this, but it tastes great) The dish has green Leaf Lettuce, Tomato, Cucumber, Hard Boiled Eggs & Homemade Croutons with either Grilled Chicken, Tuna or Sliced Avocado. I like the chicken.

I’ve been hearing all the buzz about the local Board and Brew and decided to go the extra mile and try it today. What I had heard was that the cold sandwiches were fresh and tasty. Since it was raining I needed some comfort food and ended up going with the: Roast Beef Spicy = cooked thin strips of roast beef laced with jalapeño strands and onions all glued together with melted swiss and a mayo/dijon coagulation. Altogether it totally works on a toasted baguette especially since they give you a cup of au jus for dipping. It’s like a French Dip with some kick. My friend with me said the hot pastrami was quite good. To put the proper context to that, he claims pastrami is always his default sandwich order regardless of venue, so he would know. The atmosphere is low key with the surfer vibe(even though it’s quite a ways from the beach). The reggae playing was pretty loud, but I think I was right under the speaker. They also had 6 or so picnic tables outside under the roof, but it was a little chilly today for that. I didn’t drink, but it looked like they had a separate counter with different microbrew choices on the chalkboard. The prices were definitely fair given the taste and quality. They have many locations, so if you’re nearby they’re worth a try.

Board & Brew is good stuff. I am weary of sandwich places but you can taste the freshness. I like the laid back local service. I like the location near Walmart and Home Depot off Pico. My fav is the California sandwich that has sprouts and cream cheese. I LOVE squaw bread but they have other options if you aren’t into that. The obviously have beer. I like to go here before a long touturous Walmart shopping trip.
