Cute, local spot with a beachy vibe. Staff is friendly and food was good. We had a breakfast plate, thr french connection which is a French toast/egg/bacon combo plate, and an omelet with their hash browns, which was unique because they weren’t the shredded potatoes, but more like browned scallop potatoes. Nice change from the typical hash browns. They were also accommodating when we split the bill with friends. The only thing was that parking was limited.

Great little café with all the basics, fast service and great value. Coffee was a bit well average, but we lived in WA for 7 years. Limited parking but overall we will probably come back to try the other menu items.

Found this place on Unilocal and figured we would give it a try. My husband ordered the turkey avo sandwich with fries and I ordered the Travis steak burrito. Neither one of us could finish our meals. Everything was delicious! The staff was very friendly but did not hover(a huge plus in my book). The only downside to this place was the parking. VERY small p-lot on a hill, the food/service were so good that the lack of parking wasn’t a big enough downside to lose a star!

Great place to stop in for a casual breakfast. Service was fast and friendly, portion sizes large, quality good and reasonable prices. Pretty basic breakfast options but made with love!

I’ve been coming to this family ran place for years and frequent here on the weekends. You pretty much can’t go wrong with any menu choice but some of my favorites are the Eggs Benedict, the Country mix spuds style, Huevos Rancheros medina style, and the Chilaquiles are my ultimate favorite. The patio is dog friendly. For lunch their potato salad is yummy with a sandwich.

I fell into your blue eyes as if they were the pacific ocean, and leaving you was the hardest thing I did in a while. I wish SC café was closer to Los Angeles, to talk more about things and find excuses to lock eyes and make time go slower… And for everyone else, yes, the food rocked :)

SC café has always exceeded my expectations. Food is always amazing and the entire menu is great. I’m in love with the French toast and sausage patties. I typically top it off with a bloody marry or two. My boyfriend and I hit this café up every weekend or so. Love the mellow vibe from all the staff. Definitely a locals favorite. I’ve just about had every item on the menu and nothing disappoints. Weekends are always busy so be prepared for a line but it’s always worth the wait.

Best Breakfast in San Clemente. The food is excellent. The prices are great. The service is warm. What more can you ask for from a little hometown diner café. Eat here!!!

Made it here after a walk along the beach last weekend… It was my second attempt to eat here. The parking is very challenging… there are four spots in front, and one handicapped spot. There is a lot down a little driveway but I dont think there are more than 10 spots down there total. If that many. Im not sure if there is street parking. This is a cute little along the beach restaurant, and you can tell its full of locals, which I love. I wont lie, I spent the first 10 minutes there focused on a table by the window with a dad and his daughter. She was probably about 6 or 7, and she was looking around bored, while her dad was completely consumed with his phone. I wanted to invite her to sit with us, I felt so sad for her. She finally started to color while he continued to play candy crush and surf the internet… pretty much anything but actually talking to his daughter. I just dont understand it. Anyway. I ordered the breakfast quesadilla… and a side of jalapenos. I actually got a full jalapeño pepper and Im not going to lie, it kicked my ass. It was too hot for me to eat. Haha. The quesadilla was delicious and it was filling. I ordered some coffee, and got an «I(heart) My Uncle» mug that I had to take a picture of and send to my uncle. The service was awesome. Very attentive and very friendly. Our waiter and his man bun were very easy on the eyes. Just saying. I will definitely come back for breakfast, parking allowing.

A very small little café, but you eat with good company. A very friendly staff each with their own little flair. Even with the place itself being small and an even smaller parking lot, it is a place well worth eating at. There isn’t too many tables to sit at, but it’s a cute little place that has some good eats. The bathroom is outside and around the side of the building but clean which we women do appreciate. There is a cute little note taped to the toilet for the guys asking them to lift the toilet and to put it down when they are done. It is signed from«the ladies» a little something that made me smile. My friends and I have enjoyed their food and have bookmarked it to come back to when we are in the area.

Quick stop for breakfast after the San Onofre Generating Station your. Arrived around 10:30 am on a Saturday and waited less than 15 minutes for a table. Nicole our server was fantastic. Very good standard breakfast: French toast, eggs, bacon, corned beef hash. Tiny parking lot but head straight through to park on the street.

S.C. Café is like eating breakfast the next day at your friend’s parents’ house after a high school sleep over. Good filling food, friendly service, and a low key casual atmosphere. The menu is reflective of Southern California diner food; Traditional Americana breakfast items like pancakes, omelettes, waffles, etc. with some Mexican influences like breakfast burritos and chilaquiles. Portions are very big and fair for the price($ 10 –13 for most items). These are the type of breakfast burritos you need eat with a fork and any item fills up like plate. if you don’t eat a lot of food you might be better off sharing with a friend. Stray observation 1. S.C. Café = San Clemente Café. I know it’s obvious, but sometimes your brain isn’t functioning 2. You may have a little trouble if your party is relatively large. Most tables seat 4 people comfortably, so if you have a bigger part you may have to squish together, wait for the 1 – 2 larger tables, or split the party.

I was craving breakfast so we decided to stop in this little café. This place is simple and amazing. No frills. Not fancy but so good! Service was perfect. They make you feel at home. Very casual. We had the breakfast burrito and the chiliqulies. Both were amazing. Probably could have split the breakfast because both items were huge. We will be back!

Was staying in San Clemente for a few days and was within walking distance of this place. What a great breakfast/brunch/staff and vibe. Seriously the NICEST staff. Morning 2 I had the chilaquiles with no chicken added eggs. Lovely and perfectly cooked. Morning 2 I got my favorite breakfast which I describe as «piles of things» — so here it was their spuds + a sausage patty(when I ordered it the server goes«oh yah we have a BOMB sausage patty) and 2 eggs over medium. It was delicious. A great place for a lazy morning, stuff coffee and to start your day.

Tasty chilaquiles that had the right amount of spice and kick. They serve a good portion of chicken in their chilaquiles. The chicken was moist and the avocados and cream were a good compliment to balance the heat in the dish.

S.C. Café is the local Greasy Spoon in San Clemente and puts together a fine breakfast at reasonable prices. S.C. Café seems to hail from a bygone area where simple and good food could be had without pretension or unnecessary flair. The interior will take you back to the 80’s but they take great pride in keeping every surface immaculate. The waitstaff are all incredibly friendly and they truly want to earn your business, something you seldom see anymore. The food is about what you expect; Omelets, Scrambles, Pancakes and even some Mexican dishes(which are quite delicious I might add). I have eaten here three times and have yet to not enjoy a meal and if one considers the plate cost, it is hard to argue S.C. Café is not possibly the best breakfast value south of the El Toro Y. The café is small. Okay… it is downright tiny and it is hardly a local secret so you may be waiting a while for a table on the weekends. Be mindful of that if you are already hangry. With that in mind, it is worth the wait.
