Sensitive Sweets

We were SO happy to find this awesome bakery! Due to a recent diagnosis, my daughter is on a strict elimination diet that has her off of the «top 8», wheat, dairy, eggs, soy, peanuts, tree nuts, fish and shellfish, which has really limited our choices. She was very excited to be able to choose anything and everything she wanted (it is all freezer safe for future snacks). We also found a soft bread, which we haven’t been able to do anywhere else, not for a lack of trying! She has started sampling the treats she picked out and has liked them all. We bought several mixes so we can make things like pancakes and waffles at home too. We loaded up, and since we don’t live nearby, will be calling in orders to have things shipped to us in the future.

So thankful that someone is doing what Sensitive Sweets is doing!!!
Allergies prevent me from eating 99.999 999 999 999 999% of all sweets in this world but I can walk into SS & indulge in nearly everything they have. Not only can I eat what they make, but I ENJOY all of it. I recently went on a cruise and got to enjoy sweets along with my family because I picked up a box of treats before heading on board.
Some people have come to associate ‘alternative baking’ with tasteless, strange, boring, cardboard flavors and textures. It used to be all you could find! SS has real mastery in creating beautiful cakes, breads and other goodies. What’s even better, they ship!
If you have someone in your life with allergies, trust me, they still love cake! Get them a birthday cake or big ol box of goodies from here! My husband gets huge points whenever we drive the coast and pull in for some red velvet cupcakes!

Tried brownies, thumbrpint cookies, cake pop and candy. The owner didnt put on gloves, and at one point decided she wanted to use a smaller box, so took all our stuff out of one box and re-​packaged (again without gloves) after she’s helped a customer in front of us. It was unsanitary and unprofessional. Everything was tasteless and the brownies didnt even taste of chocolate. Would never recommend.

My close friends recently went vegan and where having a hard time finding sweets that they can truly enjoy. I found this place and surprised them with this spot. We got 6 cupcakes, brownies, cookies and pumpkin balls. They where all delicious well worth the long drive. I do have to say that hands down the pumpkin balls had to be best thing we have ever had! Only bad part is that we didn’t get enough… we literally argued over who would get the last one that’s how delicious they where. Needless to say I can’t wait to go back!

I really like their sandwich bread here, and the fact that they have gluten-​free donuts. I’m allergic to wheat, which is a complete bummer for those who know. It’s difficult to find great tasting baked goods that are free of wheat/​gluten-​containing grains, but this place is able to make great tasting treats without allergens that are harmful and life threatening to a percentage of the population.

So originally, I was not going to leave a positive review, cause I thought the cake I ordered was really pricy for what I got. But, then I tasted it, OMGosh!!! Amazing. I didn’t really care about Gluten free, or vegan, I just wanted amazing decorations and cake. The decorations were just okay and I paid $ 80.00 for the decorations on a cake that fed 10 people, but all my negativity went away when I tasted it. Oh my gosh, heaven in cake. I ordered the chocolate chip cake with butter cream frosting, it was amazing. Everyone at the party thought this was the bomb and it was. So it was totally worth it. I will definitely go back again and again for the best tasting cake ever.

My whole family loves Sensitive Sweets! I’m so glad this new location in San Clemente opened because it’s even closer to us.
We have been going to Sensitive Sweets for years, and they are our «go to» when ordering special occasion cakes. I always want to go in and say, «I’d like one of everything!».
Delicious treats that we ALL can enjoy since our whole family has to eat Gluten Free from an auto-​immune disorder/​some are also dairy free. Great service. Love the owner! She’s incredible.

Sensitive sweets made a gluten-​free casein free cake for my son. My son was very specific about what it should look like. He wanted the Matterhorn with a bobsled with him and his dog riding it.
Sensitive sweets totally delivered. The cake was gorgeous and my son was thrilled. It looked just like the Matterhorn and she made an adorable bobsled and a little boy and a dog out of fondant. Additionally, we had the gluten-​free cake and I had a regular cake for anyone who may not want the gluten-​free. The gluten-​free cake disappeared and was hands-​down the favorite. We had a chocolate cake with fresh strawberries and it was outstanding. I would recommend anyone who needs an allergen free cake option.

Sensitive Sweets provided us with an egg, nut, peanut, dairy, gluten-​free cake for our son at his sister’s wedding. They matched the larger wedding cake beautifully and Henry was able to enjoy dessert at his big sister’s special day! Thank you Melanie for opening another location at San Clemente, a few minutes away from our wedding locale!

The best thing about this cake is that it’s inedible so it’ll last forever! Service is great. Web interface is great. Concept is great. Price is very doable. Cake was beautiful to the eyes but revolting to the tongue. If that’s what you’re into then get after it!

Amazing quality, amazing service! As a gluten free chick I was pleased to find a 100% gluten free bakery for our special day! Our intimate wedding in Dana Point, CA was gorgeous lots of good food, dancing and of course the CAKE… our guests loved the Blush Colored, wavy Textured Cinnamon Sugar wedding cake (they didn’t even know it was GF!) not only was the cake as beautiful as it was delicious but the pricing was very, very reasonable! I recommend all my friends (GF or not) to try Sensitive Sweets! Now that they have a location in San Clemente I’m so excited to try more yummy sweets!

I’m happy for this small business really like supporting them. The marketing and packaging was really good. I am not vegan or gluten free, or nut allergic. So this is the reason for the 5 star. I’m a blessed that I can eat anything. That being said, I’m sorry to say I personally did not like the cookies, brownies or cupcakes. But because I am not used to eating that sort of sfuff. I am not going to give them less than 5 stars, it would not be fair. I just was curious, so sadly to say I will not be back. But if you have allergies please try, you may like.

Came by because I saw it in a flyer advertising allergy free bakery. Tried the cookies and cupcakes. Good flavor and texture. But we love the bread and garlic and regular rolls. I have a gluten, egg and dairy issue and it is so great to find some bread that is delicious and soft to eat my sandwiches. Thank you so much for opening your store in my city. Will be ordering a red velvet cake next week for a birthday party.

I never knew sweets that are gluten free, vegan, and just plain healthy, could be delicious! And great community service too. I am with a non-​profit. We were having a fundraiser, and they gladly donated some items for our raffle!

Went to Sensitive Sweets because I needed a dessert and wanted something that everyone could eat. Stopped in too late so they were sold out of a few items — will pre-​order next time. Very good service and gave me a cupcake to try. It was DELICIOUS! Would highly recommend for everyone, especially those with gluten and allergy sensitivities. Go for any sweet treat or pre-​order for custom cakes! Love this place!

I am so happy to have this place in town and five min from my house. I am Gluten and Dairy free due to autoimmune disease and I recently bought the Groupon. So far I have had Choc Chip cookie and brownie and both were yummy! This place is my new obsession.

I went to sensitive sweets because it was there and new and I like cupcakes. To be honest, the cupcakes didn’t look good — kind of small and dry. The girl was on the phone when I arrived but it was a business call and she was nice once she was off.
THe cupcakes tasted AMAZING. THe cinnamon one and the choco marshmallow– both perfect. It REALLY bothered me that she didn’t put gloves on to package my food. SHe was on the phone and register and prob only touched the cupcake wrapper but it was gross. Cupcakes are $ 3.50 each.
I will make sure I tell her next time since they are new, I am assuming she was too excited.
