I’ve played Shorecliffs for over 35 years, and I’ve seen it at its worst and best and better. Played yesterday, and found the course in pretty darn good shape. Greens were quite good, smooth, true, reasonably paced and receptive. The fairways are being punched, which is always a bit of a hassle, but not bad. They had water problems(who doesn’t), and have converted over reclaimed water. Looks like they are getting more water on the course, and according to my playing partner, the condition of the course has improved significantly, even over the past month. Shorecliffs can be a tough track, but every time I play it, I comment on how much fun it really is. I do sort of hate the carts — too damn slow. Seemed their governed down for battery life, so the carts seem to always make it, even in the afternoon, but wow are they slow. Go play Shorecliffs… real good golf for a fair price here in Southern California on the coast.

Me and my girlfriend went on line to look for golf courses around so. Cal. That we haven’t played yet, this course looks nothing like there web site, the fairways were hideous, cart paths felt like you were riding in the Baja 500, then they stuck us behind 6 golfers playing together that added an hour and a half of play because they were drunk and hitting multiple balls? We had a great round personally, but for the price of $ 58 to play that stink hole of a course is crazy.
