I must say that it has been a true pleasure working with Sofas by Design. Got my sofas today and they are the best slip cover sofas I have ever seen. There are a couple little things to fix but nothing major and they are being taken care of with no questions. Colleen came with the delivery to ensure everything was correct and set up probably. I thank you all and will send everyone I know your way. I can’t thank them enough. I am a customer and friend for all my sofa and chair needs. Thanks again.

Designer used this work room for my sofa. Terrible sofa, hard and uncomfortable. Nothing could be done stuck with the worst sofa I have ever owned. On top of that fabric is pilling already. This is a second home so it’s not even used that much. Very disappointed.

I had looked on line, gone to many big box and custom small boutique sofa places before arriving locally at sofas by design. I couldn’t have been MORE THRILLED with their service, design knowledge and helpfulness in picking out fabric for my new sofa and decorator pillows to complement it as well. My family room is on the smaller side so I needed something’s custom made to fit but didnt want to spend a fortune. Deborah, the owner came to my home and did a custom measurement and took a look at my Décor which made it super easy to follow her back to the shop and pick out sofa fabric and pillows at that time. I brought in a piece of my floor tile as a sample, paint swatches from my walls and we had fun picking out the perfect fabric. I upgraded to trillium back cushions for a firmer feel than down and got a washable slipcovered sectional I am in love with. Colleen, Deborah’s daughter and Ron the deliver man, made it a GREAT experience. Highly recommend this local San Clemente shop. Couch came as promised in 4 weeks. You won’t be sorry. Just start here vs making yourself crazy driving and looking all around and get custom!!!

Deborah & her team designed and custom made a gorgeous sectional sofa for my den that fits the odd shaped room perfectly. I also found some great coastal themed throw pillows & framed art at her store that ties the look together. It was truly one stop shopping for all my coastal furniture & accessories needs.
From fabric selection to home delivery, the experience was flawless.

We purchased a 3 piece corner sectional sofa. We were able to pick exactly the fabric, pillow style and colors that we had been looking for.
Deborah and Colleen were extremely helpful to my wife in selecting everything.
My favorite part was visiting with «Charger» (her Golden Retriever) while the girls worked things out.
Even though we ordered just prior to the xmas holiday, the sofa was ready a week earlier than expected. The delivery process was also flawless and on time.

My sofa was made very quickly and turned out beautifully! Both ladies were very helpful in steering me in the right direction when it came to my vision… I would get a little sidetracked with prints and they would pull me back in. I came with pictures and dream rooms from Pinterest and they pulled out the exact fabric colors to make it all come to fruition. I was also trying to stick to a budget and they never showed me fabrics that were astronomical! Thank you for the beautiful sectional Deborah!

What a great find! I purchased a sleeper sofa from Sofas By Design and the entire experience was fun and easy and the end result is fantastic! They are top notch! I searched high and low for what I wanted and couldn’t find just the right thing. Not only was the sofa perfect, it was way less expensive than the ones I was looking at at West Elm, Crate & Barrel and Pottery Barn. AND on top of that it came in less than 4 weeks! (shipping at the other places was 8 – 12 weeks long!)

Deborah and Colleen were incredible. They have an outstanding selection! Deborah took us through the entire process. She even came to our home and looked at our family room where the sofa would eventually reside. We couldn’t be happier with with our custom sofa and cushions. The prices are reasonable as well! I chose Sofas By Design based on the super reviews. Deborah and staff certainly measured up to the reviews.
Deborah was super, nice, professional and worked with me to get exactly what i wanted and even spent a lot of time searching out a very specific material i wanted for pillows. The sectional was manufactured and delivered in a reasonable amount of time and Deborah kept me posted on the status. And her prices are fair.
She does tons of other custom stuff besides sofas, and i plan to go back.
Just one side note, which shouldn’t be perceived as negative – Deborah spends a lot of one-​on-​one time with each customer, so schedule a time to meet with her. But people do walk in and she is usually there by herself so sometimes you either have to wait until she is done, or share her.
So happy to have found this shop.
