Super friendly staff, fast service, and coffee is delicious! Only downside is they accept cash only, but it won’t stop me from going there.

Bring cash! This place doesn’t take plastic. Good for them, bring people a little back to center. This was a way cool joint! They had a neat sitting area with cool décor. Casual atmoshpere and layed back feel. The girls working the register were super friendly and helpful. They looked like they were actually having fun making drinks for customers. I got an iced peppermint mocha with almond milk, awesome! Better than the other stuck up chain coffee place that shall not be named(but they love green). Friend got a zebra mocha and she said it was awesome. I would definitely rocommend this place and we will be returning.

Only drive thru coffee place I have found that is worth it. They only take cash but their lattes are so good. Always friendly staff and never have to wait too long. Would recommend for your morning lattes or a coffee dat!

I was in San Clemente for a wedding and decided to give this spot a try because it was walking distance from where we were staying. My sister in law, niece and I walked there early on a Sunday morning. I opted for the black and white mocha –it was SOSO good. The owner was really nice and welcoming. Definitely recommend this spot and I’ll be back next time I’m in San Clemente.

I LOVE this place! The staff is so friendly and accommodating and the coffee and food is very high quality and delicious. It’s cash only which is fine for me! As far as drinks go you can’t really go wrong but I order a caramel lavender latte(so good). And if you gluten free they have the best homemade muffins you’ll ever have!

Deliciously good coffee, muffins & sandwiches with the super laid back vibe of SC. Non of the pretentious junk. Classic rock lightly playing in background & offer free 2 hr WiFi with email sign in. Free books to read in shop for the kiddos & adults too! Enjoyed the Honey Latte… scrumptious! A little steep for that on at 5 bucks for a large but worth it. Nice treat. Other items moderately priced. Coming back for open mic night!

My husband and I love everyone down at this awesome coffee shop! Owners Jay and Robin are welcoming and super friendly as is all their staff. We walk our dog down there almost every weekend and Jay always goes out of his way to offer our Golden a few dog biscuits. she’s pretty disappointed if we come out empty handed! The muffins are amongst the best in town– always fresh and delicious! Local artists are featured on a rotating basis and we love the homey eclectic décor… FYI– Always voted«Best in San Clemente» for a reason… disregard any 1 star negative reviews– just someone complaining about«not getting their way»

I love that they have klatch coffee here. Just had it for the first time shortly before we found Zebra so it was awesome to have it consistently! The owner is super helpful and keeps feeding us macaroons as we sit on the front patio, encouraging us like stray cats to continue returning. I loved hearing his stories in the brief interactions that we’ve had while staying in the area. Definitely the exact type of spot you want to start your day and sip your coffee… the GLUTENFREEMUFFINSWILLKILLMETHEY’RESOAMAZING. Don’t try them unless you’re ready for a committed fulfilling relationship.

What a fun little hole in the wall coffeehouse. I ordered a blended iced mocha which was absolutely divine. The atmosphere is nice and cozy, provides plenty of seating for about 10 people comfortably, and also has a groovy library of books available to read while you’re there. It wasn’t too noisy and it was very clean and well lit. Anytime I’m in the area I will be sure to stop in and have a drink and kick my feet up.

Cute little coffee shop with a drive through and walk in option, right off the highway which makes it a perfect option while passing through the area. Early morning passing through we had a long day ahead and stopped here. Service was very nice, coffee came out very quickly, I just did not love it. My husband had a latte, I had a mocha, both hot, kind of small and pricey for what you get. Both tasted a bit burnt, not much other flavor other than the bitterness of the coffee. While it did do the job and I really liked how fast and friendly they were, cash only is a pain and taste wise I would not bother to return.

Today, was my last day to go to Zebra House Coffee. I like their muffins, great selections and a wonderful taste. Coffee can be a hit or miss, either lukewarm or scolding hot. The cash only is fine also. As, I walked in today to order my coffee and a muffin, the person at the counter asked if my dog was a service dog, I replied that it was not. I was getting coffee to go and would sit outside. Then, she gave me her few cents about all the places in San Clemente and not bringing my dog inside. Since, I have been there many times and this is the first time to hear this, I asked to speak to the manager, she said O’k, went to help someone and then came back to tell me there was no manager at the moment. Then, she added I can get you coffee. There is a sign that the place is wheelchair accessible at the door, may be there also should be a sign that people can only bring service dogs inside. Or better yet, all the employees should have the same training and enforce their policies instead of once in a blue moon. I asked the person her name but this is not about naming an inconsiderate employee, simply stating the fact that I went there many times before and this kind of conduct can only result in loosing a customer. Dear Zebra House Coffee plenty of coffee places in San Clemente that serve excellent coffee and very friendly personnel, this is not really something I could say about your place.

Great coffee house located on the main strip within San Clemente. Although they only take cash, their coffee is fantastic and the ambiance/service is very nice. We did not try any of the food items, but it looks like they had a very nice selection. Give this place a try… you will definitely like it!

Coolest coffee shop in SC! Seriously no nice and friendly, felt right at home here and didn’t want to leave! Got the rose chai, as recommend and it did NOT disappoint. So sweet and yummy. If you have the chance to come here DOIT! You will not regret it! The owner even gave us complimentary macaroons! This place rocks :)

Found this place on our way back down to San Diego. 5⁄5 on friendliness and customer service. The guy at the drive thru was friendly and knowledgable on his suggestions. 3⁄5 for coffee. Wasn’t bad but nothing special. Good for $ 4.50. Tried the Honey Iced Latte.

Everyone at Zebra is extremely friendly. Dirty Chai with almond milk is my absolute favorite drink and I can’t leave without an Egg Sammy + avocado. I drive from Laguna Hills to San Clemente to go to Zebra and the drive is totally worth it!

I would come back for the muffins but that’s about it. My soy latte was scalding hot for quite some time. Had about 2 inches of foam, which is uncharacteristic of a latte and tasted slightly burnt. The gluten free coconut pumpkin muffin was the bomb! I would love to try their other flavors. This place is obviously a sweet, local spot. The kind of place friends meet every week at. So, yes, go for the muffins.

I still love coming here whenever I pass through the area. I like how accessible it is from the freeway for a quick coffee fix. I no longer do regular milk and am thankful they have almond milk. I still stick to their house made chai latte but recently have been adding espresso. Sometimes I find their chai too sweet, depending on who makes it, but I have since asked them to cut back on the sweetness in my drink. They do their coffee and espresso real well and have plenty of room for snobbery but they are still so laid back compared to the other«new» and«modern» too serious of coffee shops where the coziness and neighborhood feel is lost. Thanks for being one of a kind Zebra.

Stopped here as I drove South from Los Angeles to San Diego. I’m a fan of local coffee houses and this place has pretty good reviews on Unilocal so I knew it was worth a try. As I walked up, I noticed a «CASHONLY» sign so be prepared. Once inside, I liked the home-like atmosphere and I’m a BIG fan of random chairs/tables/furniture so this place really delivers on that for me. But a coffee house is about coffee, right? Well as I waited to order, I couldn’t resist their muffin display and opted for a blueberry poppyseed muffin along with my latte. The cashier was quite friendly and offered to warm my muffin too. I enjoyed my experience here. The latte wasn’t super fantastic but it was good and the friendly service made up for any of that. I’ll stop here again on my next visit, that’s for sure.
