Stopped in for a night cap before heading to my hotel room. Bartender didn’t even ignolage me for 3 minutes while he talked to a another Patron I was standing next too. By the way there were 3 people sitting at the bar. Then decided to throw a cocktail napkin my way and then went back to his conversation without asking can I help you. Sat another 2 min. and said are you kidding me. Left and flipped him off. Zero customer service!!! Especially at what I was paying to stay at the hotel. Totally unacceptable! Good luck if you go and get the same clown I had.

This was an OK place. We stopped in about a week ago and had a cocktail before dinner time and it was pretty slow. It was a strange ambiance. The dim lighting was cool but the laser light-looking show playing on the walls was a bit strange… I didn’t really understand it. It was a bit much going on. I think it was videos or strobing lights or something playing in little sections of the walls. It might be cool during«club» hours but it was a bit too much going on for a slow afternoon. Drinks were pretty standard for the area. Simple ¾ ounce pours and mostly soda but that’s what you’ll find in 90% of places in downtown/Gaslamp area. Bartender was great and she was prompt and friendly. Might have to give this place another try later at night when it’s hopefully a tad more festive.

Good drinks and great live music by Curt Owen! Wouldn’t have come if he hadn’t drawn us in.

Initially dead in the late afternoon, this place did pick up a bit after a while but never became anything fun or happening. The drinks, food and service were all average at best. The small stage was backed by overly loud amps and the not-so-great music eventually forced us to seek greener pastures.

Came in here on a Saturday night after we got bored at the club upstairs. On a Saturday night in the Gaslamp there weren’t 30 people in this place. There was a 3 person band playing but it was something closer to folk than rock. Not danceable and they were not very good, and totally unintelligible due to the mix. We ordered one round of drinks which were ridiculously priced(more expensive than the upstairs club). It was so bad we left without evening finishing our drinks and went back upstairs. Get good rock bands, fix the sound mix and this place could be a great place to dance and hang out.

After finding the scene empty at Float, friend and I decided to give this a try. Amazingly, at about 10:30pm on a Friday night, there were only about 3 people in here. Thus, it was empty, too. We sat at the bar and ordered a round. There was a guy playing a guitar on stage, but it was chill music. Not what we were looking for. We were joined by a couple of other friends. Drinking our round, we made plans to go somewhere else. Again, staff friendly, but it was too empty and quiet for a Friday night.

Not the best experience at Hard Rock San Diego, but the bartender Mike Camantia in the attached bar 207 made it all worthwhile. My friend’s credit card went missing and he went above and beyond, searched high and low after security said 3 times they didn’t have it, and he FOUNDIT! Not to mention, delicious drinks and awesome service at the bar. Stop by and request Michael!!! He’s given the best customer service out of every every person we’ve encountered.

Service was slow to come take our order. Maybe because we were Dodger fans taking over their bar. Food took forever to come out and our server forgot to put in one of our order for chicken strips. Overall the atmosphere is a good place to drink and hang out. Other than that, I would not recommend this place at all.

The club has gone significantly downhill since JT(an excellent VIP host) moved over to Fluxx. It’s taken me almost a month to write this review and that’s likely going to be to their benefit as at the time I was beyond livid with everything We booked a table here Friday May 1 for a couple specific reasons… 1) We had come here before on a Friday done bottle service; they played hip hop and we had a great time. Little did I realize that was under JT’s watch — not this new guy. 2) I went to 207 the week before I wanted my table and made my reservation in person directly with Greg. In addition to confirming hip hop he also told me that purchasing a bottle a fireball would totally apply to their buy one get one promo(which that in and of itself was comical as I had to explain to him SEVERAL times what«buy one get one» meant) In the days leading up to Friday May 1 I had talked to Greg frequently and we discussed 1) the birthday boy wanting fireball 2) the birthday boy wanting hip hop 3) it being the birthday boys actual birthday and 4) we were staying there and partying all day with friends who also happened to be condo owners at HRH and were celebrating their wedding anniversary. So imagine my surprise the night before the bday party when I get a text from him asking a) what night the reservation was for and b) what name he should put the reservation under! I shook it off thinking he’s likely new at this and maybe slightly overwhelmed but I should have known better given that our planning was done via email which uses my actual name in it! Nonetheless we go and no exaggeration we were four of maybe 10 people in the whole club not counting everyone working there. We laughed about it joking everyone must be at Omnia and then said well at least we’ll have awesome service and the DJ will likely take requests! Fast forward to us meeting our waitress and ordering our bottles and I learn — only then once we’re already in the club and committed that they don’t have Fireball; they’ve never carried it and would I consider getting Jim Beam Fire instead? At this point — I’m really peeved because I now get to pay a ridiculously exorbitant rate($ 375 ++ to be exact) for something he doesn’t even want as it tastes nothing even remotely like what his drink of choice is. Sure we could have gone through and picked another bottle of something else but that’s not the point; we booked specifically requesting something; were told it wasn’t an issue when clearly it was. I won’t bore you with all of the details but basically for $ 1,000(total with bottles, misc. drinks, tax and top) we received: * A table/booth next to the kitchen… of which we waited outside for for nearly 15 minutes while the stand-in host got whoever to seat us(pretty big deal considering 6 people were inside when we got there) * 3 bottles; one of which was«free» and none of which were presented to the bday boy. No sparklers, no confetti, no happy group of waitresses to stand around him and smile for a picture. They were brought over and set-up by what appeared to be the most miserable bus boy in history. In his defense; if HRH treats its employees twice as good as it does paying clients — I’d be grumpy too * A pitiful sum of hip hop sprinkled throughout a ridiculous amount of salsa, Latin pop and reggaeton. Honest to God — the DJ even played Suavamente(and way earlier then you’d hear it at a wedding). The music only got better when/if I forced it and paid the DJ to play something in with English lyrics * No mention on the TV screens at all of his bday OR the anniversary of the Rock Royalty owners we had with us * NO follow-up(as in zip, zero, nilch, nada) from the host who booked us to see how everything went; if we had a good time and whether or not we’d like to come back I hate leaving negative reviews and I will always try to bring a bad experience to mgmt’s attention before putting a place on blast on the internet but these guys left me little choice. I followed up with the events dept the Monday after and I’m pretty positive she passed my disdain along and asked Greg’s boss to call me. Here we are one month and one week later and it’s still radio silent… If you’re looking for hip hop there’s FAR better places to go in SD with reasonable minimums… Fluxx and Onyx have started migrating that way and there’s always the ever great rap, R&B and soul staple Bar Dynamite… where you could go in with $ 20 and leave with an awesome buzz(strong drinks), sore feet(from nonstop dancing) and change(seriously, $ 5 and $ 3 beers!)

Came here to watch the Paquiao and Mayweather fight. Standing room only, the BIG screen on the right was broken kinda, had a huge black line in the middle. Bartenders there are… really nice, but kind of slow. 43 bucks each to get in with pre-sale. Also, this doesn’t affect the rating at all or else it would be 0 stars, but after the fight and the commentary of mayweather, the DJ started playing his(already made) set over paquiao’s commentary like a freaking jerk! What the hell? So after a LOT of booing and cursing from the crowd(ok.it was ONLY me and like 3 other people pointing thumbs down signs at him) he FINALLYYYYYY stopped so we can watch/listen to the commentary. After that, the place was dead. I finally got seats at the bar… and they took them away. WTF man. SOSAD.

Went in after a Padre game. Ordered a few drinks at the bar and sat down to order some food. Not once did the server ask how everything was. Instead he just angrily emptied our table and acted as though we were bothering him. We were the only people there. I was also taken aback when the server approached me and said he needed a card to pay for the food. Well, I wasn’t done but he never bothered to ask me that. He just told me I needed to give him a payment. I will not be back. Ever. This business is in the customer service industry, if I’m not mistaken, however, I was treated like I was a total inconvenience. That is NOT cool.

I only came here for a special event featuring SOSUPERSAM, Abjo, Chuuwee and Trizz from The Travelers Club and Future Standard. Purchased tickets for the event online which were only $ 10 plus small service fee. Event starts at 9:00. We arrived around 9:30 ish. There was no line. Entrance was easy. SETTING: They have quite a small stage… With two VIP seating sections on each side of the stage. They have more VIP seatings along the walls of the other three sides as well. The bar is in the middle. Very small dance floor. Reminds me a lot of bars in North Park. They have pretty nice lighting inside but the music doesn’t seem to get loud enough. I didn’t like that you have to exit the club and go into the hotel lobby in order to use the bathroom. But at least they use a hand stamp method for easy access in and out of the club. They also have a pretty large smoking area outside that fits a good amount of people. For the event, they had a special $ 5 for draught beers and $ 4 shots of jack honey and jack daniels. Which was pretty cool since they had Stone IPA, Shock Top, Stella, and a few others for the price of $ 5 each. AND they let everyone sit whereever they wanted for the event, you did not have to get bottle service to sit which was awesome. Overall, it was a chill environment. It was pretty cheap entrance ticket and drinks for an event. But place is okay, nothing too specatacular.

I haven’t been to this club yet so my rating is based off customer service while trying to book VIP bottle service for a bachelorette party. We will be staying at the hard rock and thought it would be awesome to get bottle service at the club located there. However, after working with the manager to try and iron out details, it became very apparent that customer service is lacking. I went to the website trying to contact them and called and left a message with my information. It took a few weeks for them to get back to me via text message. I had more questions and asked them to email me. He responded back with useless information again via text. I got the sense that he is unprofessional and I’m not going to drop close to $ 900 on a place who can’t even communicate effectively! Taking our hot bachelorette party elsewhere!

207 in San Diego is the spot to hang out at. I was roaming around gaslamp district and some random girl approached us to give us VIP passes to get in for free. Of course we took up on the offer or other wise it’s usually $ 20 to get in. We only spent 20 mins in there because we didn’t know it was a white party. Everybody was wearing white. Anyway, music was blasting and people were nice. I had fun dancing here.

Not as fun as Float. It was dark. The people were ratchet. The bartenders looked like little strippers. Not my scene. I like the lounge setting better. It wasn’t as classy. Music was alright.

THISPLACEIS –ALLBAD– DUETOGARBAGESECURITY!!! The bouncers are power trip– bullies! They were ALL completely unprofessional & very disrespectful. After assaulting my friend they then refused to even provide the manager’s name & they wouldn’t give me back my ID.(Ps) Regardless of how much money YOU spend there– they will still treat you like you are an inconvenience to them! NOT worth the MONEY @ ALL!

The tomato soup is delicious. I like the set up. The place is kinda a lounge as well. I was there for a business lunch and tge buffet setup was great. The selections other than the soup though were so so. Potato salad was decent. The place does lack life in the middle of the day. kinda dreary and no one really pays attention to you :/

I hosted a small corporate group at the Hard Rock Hotel and used 207 for my cocktails and hors d’œuvre welcome reception. I always try to hold the welcome reception in the hotel, as some guests may arrive late. I stayed with 207 for convenience but the prices were ridiculous. I host these types of events frequently so rarely have sticker shock. But I spent $ 183/person on heavy hors d’oeuvres and two hours of hosted bar. That is just out of line. That said, my only complaint here are the prices. The service, food, atmosphere, convenience were all great, and clearly… what I paid top-dollar for.

We stepped in to have a drink while waiting on friends who were staying at the hotel. First off we could not enter the door through the hotel because we weren’t guest. If they were busy I would have been okay with this but there where about five people including my husband and I. The gentleman at the«non guest» door were really nice. Once we entered there was an awful smell. This is what bothered me the most. I had heard such good things about this place but once inside I was so disappointed. The 23.00 for two drinks was no surprise but the stink WAS!!! Can’t say I will never go back… wait yes I can.

Went in for drinks and appetizers at 3 pm, not during clubbing hours. While the place had maybe 10 other patrons and was not busy by any means, we waited to place our order for 15 minutes, then 20 minutes to get our beers, and 15 more minutes for the food. The waitress didn’t bother much checking back with us, and when I came up to ask for the bill and pay, she refused to split the check more than 2 ways. I was disappointed by complete lack of customer service and the waitress’ overall incompetence — and I decided not to leave a tip. Imagine my surprise, when I noticed a 35% tip added to my credit card charge! Not sure as to what happened I called back and spoke with a person at 207’s finance department. I was first told that I, in fact, left a tip. After checking their records, it turned out that there’s been an error, and the overcharge will be returned back to my card. That’s fine, but what happened? Did the waitress decide she’d done an outstanding job and added the tip to my bill? Is she a thief? Does the Hard Rock have a practice of employing thieves? I expressed my concern to the person in the finance department, and was told that I will be getting a confirmation(that day) of refund and a call from Joe the manager shortly! And… nothing. The next day I called again, demanding my overcharge refunded and an explanation. The person on the phone told me(with some resentment) that the«error» will be fixed and to wait for the confirmation and a call from Joe the manager. I finally did get my overcharge back. A week later — not an apology, not an explanation. Joe, call me? TIP: check your credit card statements after visiting this place. Chances are — you might notice FRAUDULENT charges!
