I’m just back from watching Monsters vs Aliens with my kids. The whole experience was so coooooool and cool(got cold by the time it ended). Just a reminder that it is still JUNE(and not balmy July or steamy Aug) and it does get cold in the inland north county at night. BTW: here the my cheat-sheet for things to pack before heading out the door. * lawn chairs; if you got kids, stroller works best * blankets/throws(for everybody) * hooded sweatshirts or jackets and wear jeans(not shorts) * pizza(your dinner!), popcorn; skip soda(I hate running to bathrooms) * closed toes shoes(sandals no? no? no? it’s cold) There is plenty of parking at the park. But come in by 8 pm to stake the best location front and center of the screen. And, people within the 20 min radius of 4S Ranch are not the pampered ones to enjoy this treat. Other parks in San Diego also have yearly summer movies. For 2010, check the schedule at county parks website( ) for Lindo Lake Park, Sweetwater Regional Park, Dos Picos Park, Spring Valley Park, Fallbrook Park and Jess Martin Park
