OB is full of liquor stores. This one has got some good deals of its own but is definitely not my #1 go to spot for alcohol.

Very cool little Liquor store located on the border of Point Loma & Ocean Beach. My friend and I were headed back to our Hotel when I saw this place on the corner of Voltaire Street & Ebers Street. A rear parking lot is available. Access to the rear parking lot is accessed by an alley that runs behind this business. At the time of our visit a San Diego Police Officer was blocking the alley for some reason. I am not sure what he or she was up to but his presence was definitely felt as people who were driving by looking to go to this location went elsewhere simply because of their presence. My friend and I parked on the street just adjacent to this business which is ’15 minute parking’ only, so be careful you do not get a ticket or bring undue attention upon yourself especially as you are leaving a Liquor Store. My friend and I were simply looking for something to snack on in our room and H2O. We walked inside and discovered this little Liquor Store sold everything you might need, from basic travel items(i.e. Toothbrush & Soap), to baby formula, food, cold drinks and of course alcohol(even had Microbrews) if you are a drinker, my friend and I are not. During our visit here the cashier, who seemed like the owner greeted several customer that walked in by name. The cashier even knew the name of a customer’s small child who was still in a stroller. I thought that was nice that businesses where the owner/cashier still knows your name. Several other customers walked in and told the cashier that the Police Department was blocking the parking lot and driving business away. The cashier was very friendly and wished both my girlfriend and I a ‘Good Evening’ as we walked out the door.

If you go here expecting it to be a dumpy corner liquor store, you’ll get exactly what you’re looking for. Sometimes that’s all you need. And they are dog friendly so no need to hesitate picking up some Bushmills while walking the dog.

Ahhh, how can you not love the liquor store within 1 block from where you live? They have a decent beer selection and the staff is always friendly. I am sold :)

Great neighborhood market for alcohol and all of your favorite quik mart fixins. They have all the liquor choices you can want and more. All the guys are very friendly and always make you feel like you are at your own market. Only downside is the $ 1.00 dollar charge for your credit card under $ 20.

Tony, the man behind the counter, is so very nice. He allows me to bring my dog into the store and he even feeds him dog biscuits. Plus, the beer is always cold, the prices are cheaper than Chris’s down the street and they have Big Daddy pickles — what more do you need in life?(Maybe a deli sandwhich from Chris’s?) I always seem to spend a pretty penny in there… look for the deals, is my only advice. Lastly, play scratcher Lotto games there — I’ve already won twice! It’s a lucky store.
