Dr. Marc Van Hoose is terrific as is the entire staff. He is extremely knowledgeable, thorough and friendly — taking plenty of time to answer all patient questions and explain each test and procedure. The office offers the latest in eye examination technology — so exams are accurate, efficient and comfortable. I highly recommend their services.

Facility is excellent and so is the doctor. Very patient and very knowledgeable. Didn’t take too much time. Appointment started at the time mentioned and I was done in 45 mins. I asked many questions and all of them were answered. I would come here again.

Everyone was pleasant and professional. I deeply appreciated the depth of explanation about my vision by Dr Ackroyd. lAs a senior o\and on a limited income, I deeply appreciated the willingness to only charge for one lens since I only have vision in one eye… No one eles I asked was willing to do that… although I was coming to Dr Ackroyd anyway. just gotta shop arouond. I have gone to Dr Ackroyd for many years and have always appreciated his kindness and gentleness. I felt happy when he explained the advantages of my small pupil!
Although I allowed myself to be frustrated by the computer and having to fill out another history, my attitude shifted as Dr Ackroyd interacted and explained my options.
If you are looking for an awesome optometrist, here is where I would recommend.

By far the best Optometrist office I have been to in 35 yrs! Dr Patrick fixed my vision better than any other Optometrist I had tried in the past and the office, eyewear selection and staff are top notch.

This doctor is as amazing as the reviews suggest! I like to be prepared so prior to my appointment I emailed the staff with several questions. They were very attentive, thorough, and quick in their responses. Perfect customer service! They worked around my busy work schedule and I was able to get an appointment quickly. When I came in, everyone in the office was so nice and caring. Dr. Van Hoose is amazing, through and really cares for his patients. I wouldn’t go anywhere else!

I have seen both Dr. Marc Van Hoose and Dr. Ackroyd and have been very pleased with my care from both of them. I recently took my son to see Dr. Marc Van Hoose, and while my son (7 years old) can be rather challenging, Dr. Van Hoose was excellent with him. The office staff (I’m terrible with names, but the other women who work in the office!) were wonderful as well. We will continue to go here for our eye care needs.

I am very happy with the care I received from Dr. Van Hoose. He was very thorough, kind, and really cares about his patients. He and his staff were very professional and personable and I never felt rushed through the exam like I have been at some other offices. With the rebate, the cost for my contacts was less than Costco’s price. My husband and I both go to him and we are very pleased.

I found this place BECAUSE of Unilocal Reviews and enjoyed it just the same as the other reviewers. Dr. Van Hoose was quick and very professional, I was out in less than an hour. The receptionist are both very friendly and were great assistances helping me find my new frames! I chose one style that I liked and they brought out different, but similar styles that they thought I might like as well. I ended up choosing one of the other style they brought out. They told me my new glasses would be in from 3 – 5 days, but they came sooner, less than three days.
Also, it’s so easy to make an appointment! I called at 10am and asked to schedule any open appointments that were available that week. I ended up going in the same day I called at 12:30pm! Very convenient for me.
I highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone!

These folks are extremely competent at what they do, and always make my visits enjoyable. They really do check everything, and when you have complicated eye problems like I do, that’s a real relief to know they have my back. On top of that, everyone from the people up front to the doctors themselves are friendly and approachable. Takes the stress right out of the equation.

I’m relatively new to the scene of needing an eye-​doctor, but when I found out I didn’t have to go the VA I was ecstatic but nervous about going anywhere new. Their staff and flexibility with my crazy schedule put me at ease immediately and made the experience more than tolerable. One of the things I like the most was the service; I was definitely made to feel welcome and that they truly cared about me as more than just another client.

The thought of eyes just makes me feel so nauseous, and I feel like I am going to have a panic attack every time I have to go to the eye doctor. However, Marc Van Hoose is wonderful, and helps put me at such ease. He is so good at what he does that by the end of my appointment, I wonder why I was so stressed out to begin with over the entire process. I greatly appreciate his expertise and care for his patients. I highly recommend this practice.
