THE GOOD: AMBER ELIZABETH! My wife’s last hairstylist moved out the state 6 years ago. Amber is the only person my wife has seen more than once. Her hair is natural so she needs a special touch and Amber seems to have it. She is amazing with my wife’s hair! She keeps it healthy and easy for my wife to maintain. Her prices are amazing. I’ve never seen her hair look so healthy, last so long, smell so good or bounce and shine the way it does. I LOVE the fact that my wife can be in and out in under 1.5 hours, WOW. Amber sticks to her appointments, stays on task, and doesn’t let the salon conversations slow or impede her work.
THE BAD: You can’t duplicate her magic. By that I mean if you personally try to keep your hair looking the way Amber does over the long haul, forget it! Just make an appointment and see her again, it’ll be worth it. This is small specialty salon in what appears to be a conjoining office building. If you like a lot of different hands in your head and a big environment this may not be the place for you.
ALL IN ALL: There are so many styles and textures of African American hair it’s difficult to master them all. Studio Minq and Amber specifically seem to have all the answers. Make an appointment today just not in my wife’s time slot!

Amber is one of the best out of San Diego. Always professional and she gets you in and out in no time. She makes sure you are fully satisfied with your services. My go-​to person for that exquisite quality of work. She has what I would call «Growing hands», because my hair is always lavish and lovely.

I’ve been going to Amber Elizabeth for 8 years and I love her work. She can do it all and believe me, we’ve tried so many different styles, from short to long, perm to natural, weave to my own home grown hair — thanks to Amber! My favorites are her sew-​in weaves. They seem to last forever. Her schedule is flexible and she’s always willing to accommodate. Oh and my daughter loves loves loves her work too.

Amber Elizabeth is amazing!!! I found her a year ago and LOVE how she takes care of my hair. Her first priority is making sure your hair is HEALTHY!
