San Diego Colorist

Finally braved up the courage to lighten my very dark (black) hair and found Atousa through a groupon while I was visiting San Diego. Looking for highlights for black hair is very tricky. Atousa was very attentive to my needs and very straightforward on what my options were. She did an amazing job and she clearly knows color. She was fast, proficient and very engaging. You will not be disappointed. I just wish I lived closer so she can do the roots every 6 – 8 weeks. Lol!

Atousa is Awesome! She always does a great job on my blonde highlights. Very friendly and skilled in dying hair blonde!

Atousa is currently located in Vital Hair Salon in Hazard center. I booked an appointment with her because of all the fantastic feedback and reviews I’ve read. This was my first time getting my hair colored so I was sort of anxious and nervous. I wanted a balayage look without the outcome being orange or streaky. Throughout the entire process, she told me what she was doing each step of the way, which I really enjoyed. She offered me drinks and overall made sure I was doing great. She has a great personality and is super easy to talk to! In the end, I couldn’t have been more happier with the outcome; it definitely exceeded my expectations for sure! She’ll definitely be my one and only hair colorist! Thanks Atousa, I’ll be back!

I needed a haircut and wanted to find a new salon, so I did what I usually do when I’m searching for a new business — went to Groupon. Atousa offered a haircut, condition and style for a very reasonable price. She is an experienced stylist back in business after teaching at a beauty school for many years and is rebuilding her client base. I was really impressed by her. She’s skilled and very pleasant. She offered a 10-​day re-​cut if I didn’t like something about my new cut. Well, I had ended up having her cut almost 7 inches off my hair making it short and requiring styling (rather than my usual bun-​up do every day for the last 5 years). After a few days decided I wasn’t happy with how it was falling when I styled it. The cut she had done was perfect, but my at-​home styling of it didn’t look as good and I called her to ask about a slight modification. She insisted I come in right away, saying she wanted to make it how I wanted it. She set aside an hour of her day and made it just the way I wanted it to look so that I could do it at home. How amazing is that??? A stylist that wants you to be happy and is wiling to go the extra mile to give of her time (and who would not take any more money for it), is SO STELLAR! I will be going back to her again and again and I recommend that you give her a try! I am certain you will be as happy with the experience as I am!

I’m so glad I found Atousa, she is extremely talented and knows what she is doing. She took the time to find out what I really wanted and then gave me her opinion. She also had many ideas if I ever wanted to change things up. I could have sat in her chair all day!!! Atousa is obviously very educated in all types of hair and has the experience to back it up. I will NEVER go to anyone else… she is stuck with me forever! Not to mention I will be bringing my two teenage daughters from now on as well.. P. S. I have VERY thick hair and it was refreshing not to have to teach someone how to manage my locks (I.e. How to brush after shampoo, how to blow dry etc) her blow dry skills are amazing!!!

They were friendly and helpful when trying to schedule an appt.
Used groupon. Came with scalp massage but didn’t get it. We waited 20 minutes past or appointment to be taken care of. Hair stylist did not give me what I asked for. I wanted layers but She kept saying it would be good. I have had layers my whole life and she still did not cut my hair that way. She mentioned that there was an extra charge for long hair after we had all our services done.
Maybe another day.

I can’t give a review of the service, because I never even got to that point. I called regarding her groupon deal. I know what I want will be more than the groupon, but she was so unfriendly and less than helpful. I asked for a quote and she said it’s impossible to quote without seeing my hair; I totally get that. I asked if she would schedule a consultation and she totally ignored the question. My regular hair stylist has moved to the East Coast and she is the 5^th person I’ve called. All of the other 4 have offered a consultation in their shop so I could get a quote. This girl doesn’t want business, so I don’t know why she is bothering offering a groupon. I’ll be going elsewhere.

Atousaa is amazinggggg!!! I love here no one else touches my hair. She’s so down to earth, knows how worm and keep a conversation going. Amazing all around hairdresser!

Atousa is the absolute most amazing hair stylist in San Diego! She did my hair nearly 15 years ago when I was 16 and since then I have never been able to find anyone who can come even close to the work that she does! I am so excited to have reconnected with her again! My hair will be spoiled and looking great from here on out thanks to Atousa!
