Great concept. Had the turkey club and it’s was done exactly how I wanted it to. Also, they were very nice and asked all if they had eaten there before. If I’m back in San Diego, I’ll make sure to return.

After praying about it & speaking to my pastor I am leaving this Unilocal review because during my visit to lakeshore before last I witnessed an employee attack a very friendly homeless woman who i usually stop & talk to & see around the shopping center who I buy sandwiches for all the time. The employee was in full uniform & I have heard this nasty little beast of a woman make comments about this woman while she was in the store. complaining about making her a sandwich that I have given her money to buy & said something along the lines of «everyone buys her sandwiches. It’s awful.» Interesting words coming from someone who is paid to make food for hungry people & really has no reason to concern herself when the person(homeless or otherwise) is a paying customer. I am not leaving this review to say that all the employees are violent or rude. They are not. But I am leaving this because when i returned to lakeshore this week I stopped in for a bag of chips & a rice Krispie the woman was still working there. How could a business keep an employee that would act in such a way to a customer is BEYONDME. This is bad business & the manager & company must be corrupt. I am reluctant to say that I will not be returning & I am telling all of my friends what I witness that day & my pastor has mentioned this in our sermon this week & has advised our church not to visit their chain because what happened was heartless & not empathic at all. I hope other moral people read this & stay far away. no one should be treated that way by anyone ever & that behavior should not be looked upon lightly. Homeless people are people too. Goodbye which Wich. I will miss who I thought you were. and your ice cream wich.

Tim who takes the orders is absolutely the best!!! I called in a catering order a little late in the morning and he was able to get it to my office in time for our meeting. The display that they had was amazing and the staff is very nice and cordial. I would recommend this place to everyone. I can’t wait to try the different sandwiches that they have in their restaurant on my own. Plan on going this weekend. I will definitely use them again in the future.

My boyfriend has been dying to try this place out. Decided to go for lunch. It’s confusing at first, if I didn’t read the Unilocal reviews I would have been totally lost. So you fill out a paper bag with what you want on your sandwich you pretty much choose the meat and then toppings. They didn’t have the type of meat I chose… the teriyaki chicken so I had to change everything which was annoying after filling it out. Overall not the best sandwich shop I’ve visited.

Which Wich is easily my favorite sandwich shop. I’m a HUGE fan of anything that I can pick each and every element of what I’m going to eat. So this is a match made in heaven. I find that they have the most extensive selection of sandwich types and toppings of any sandwich player in the market. I think the meat used is fantastic, and leaps and bounds above several others. And the crushed ice and mello yello in the soda fountain. AMAZING! This was the drink of my childhood in the Midwest… something that is very hard to find here on the west coast. I hope to see a larger footprint of the Which Wich locations in the near term!

Dropped in 15 minutes before closing time after a movie let out. The staff was perfectly cordial even though we came in so close to closing time. Very nice. I’m not sure about Which Wich’s bag system… it feels like a waste of bags to me, especially if you’re eating there, but it seems to work for them. I guess the upside of it is that i get to play with red crayons. I ordered the Turkey Club(Turkey, Ham, Bacon) and checked off all the veggies with light mayo, and toasted. Sandwich came and I was surprised at how cleanly constructed it was. It was so neat and tidy it could’ve been a wrap. Not too moist, but meats were juicy. Much better than another sandwich chain that takes its name from a form of underground public transportation. Good stuff.

The sandwitchs are good but they skimp on meat and they are small for the price. It’s a cool concept with all the options and special sandwitch but ultimately this place is more of a gimmick than a sandwich shop. The 6 incher will leave any normal adult still hungry

Interesting concept. You walk in, see what kind of sandwich you like, then write your custom order yourself on a corresponding bag. When I first walked in I was like wtf I’m so confused. Then when I figured out the general idea I was like damn this is overwhelming. Ultimately though it’s a pretty simple process. I got the cheesesteak. It was good. Nothing like the kind you can get from those mall places hot off the grill(I’m a huge sucker for those), but I guess your sandwich here is really only as good as the ingredients you choose. A cold sandwich would have been great I’m sure, but their«hot» sandwiches were a little lacking. It’s more toaster oven status versus something that gives you that melted cheese gooey-ness. Not to fret though! I still see this place as pretty frikkin good, and definitely better than subway. Would recommend :)

This place is tucked around the back of hazard center. Which wich is a chain, but is consistently good no matter which spot you stop at. The turkey sub was a plain sandwich fine to perfection. Ordering by writing on the bags makes sure you get what you want. You can add as many condiments and other items to personalize your sub. I like how they have a wall for art where you draw on your sub bag. They also have recycling so thanks for looking out for the earth!

The concept looks like it gives you more choice, but in reality choice is becoming time consuming — too many options, too many possible ingredients. But then the devil is in the detail, right? I selected«superfood wich» as a base, but made a few modifications — one of my choices was simply missing in the sandwich, and the size and the ratio of actual«filling» versus wrap was rather mediocre. Also, the ingredient list is not very clear — if «Avocado» is listed, I expect sliced Avocado and not Avocado spread. Okay service and time to wait, but there are better choices out there.

So I ordered a bbq pork sandwich that’s come with coleslaw bbq sauce and pickles. What I got was a Ham sandwich with bacon no sauce just cheese and pickles. I would of went back and returned it but it’s my lunch break and I ran out of time. This place has really fallen off. Last 9 dollars I spend their.

I had never heard of this place. Came here before our movie at Ultrastar. Love the set up. Put everything you want on the paper bag and hand it to the guy. Simple. No questions asked if you want this or that. It’s all written there. Very quick service and very friendly staff. Great prices and tastes a million times better than subway. Great chip selection too. Mmmm. Not just the basic Cheetos and Doritos.

I had a ham sandwich. The bread was toasted warm, crunchy and good. However the ham was too salty Overall it was a good sandwich and employees were very nice. I like the way customers can customize their own sandwiches. It’s awesome!

This Which Wich is located inside of Hazard Center in Mission Valley. This location is decent sized, however with no restroom(Just go to Lakeshore Learning Store next door). I love the concept of Which Wich works and how you can customize your sandwich and grab the bag that caters to which one you want and you mark what you want on the bag with a red sharpie they provide prior to paying. I came here for a Vegetarian sandwich. my fave the«Artichoke Hearts». The service here was average in the beginning and lost a few points when upon looking at the receipt how they had overcharged me for a medium sized sandwich($ 8 something) when I had ordered a small which is about 6 bucks. When I picked up my sandwich and confirmed how it was a small, I went up to the girl who had made my sandwich and showed her the receipt how they charged me for a larger size in error. I think her name was Aloha and she was sweet and apologized and stated how they would refund me for their error and take care of it. A few minutes later she came up with a refund of cash with **6 bucks and change** and she checked up on me on how my sandwich was and she also said sorry. Her prompt service was sweet and definitely turned the situation around! :)

First times visit was quite ridiculous we ordered a 10 inch and our sandwich was only about 6 inches long. We got a complimentary free sandwich voucher and came back in yesterday night and used it on a 14″ sandwich basic with only added bacon and avocados and assuming it was free as the voucher stated and nowhere did it say what size matters, we were charged a whopping $ 16.xx. After letting the cashier know it should of been free we were hassled and eventually given the opportunity just to pay for the added extras($ 2.00 for bacon and &2.00 avocados). I know the manager or supervisor of this store gave me this voucher, but I honestly don’t believe I should have paid. I hope your employees can get the proper training for this voucher as well it took quite some time for your cashier. Other than that, great sandwiches. Just realize we shouldn’t of had to pay.

Looking for a sandwich and had been wanting to try this place. I really like the do it yourself bad idea! Made it easy to order and nice to see absolutely everything you could add to your sandwich. I ordered an Italian girder with all the usual fixins. Time to make our sandwiches was pretty average. Can’t say too much about the staff since the bag method really doesn’t allow much interaction. The sandwich, just average. I’d put it in the same category as subway. Nothing special about it. I wasn’t crazy about all the fixins being located in the center since once they fold it they are really only on the top. Being a sandwich connoisseur myself, a good sandwich should have everything in a bite. With this, you have to take two bites, one for the lettuce, tomato, and mayo and one for the meats. Also, I had to come home and add my own mayo since the sandwich only came with a teaspoon of it. Can’t say this will ever be a regular place for us, but glad we tried it!

I love the ordering process. Grab a bag either turkey, beef, chicken, seafood, etc. and customize it by checking off what you like such as what type of cheese, sauce, and veggies that are listed. I chose Bag 5: seafood. Got the tuna with American cheese, light mayo, red onions, lettuce, spinach, pickles, and cucumber on a small 7″ wheat bread. A medium is 10.5″ and a large is 14″. They interestingly have vegetarian sandwiches(bag 6), Gyro and Monte Cristo(bag 9: classics) which I must try next time. They have lettuce wraps and salads for those who want to stay away from carbs. I hope Which Wich expands on more locations. A nice change from Subway sandwiches.

I love which wich and their sandwich variety! Plus I like how they let you check off the ingredients you want on the bag. They have three sizes and I always opt for the medium since I eat one half and other half usually for lunch the next day and it’s still delicious! I always opt for the Italian Grinder sandwich(Genoa Salami, Pepperoni + Capicola). I recently tried the black bean patty sandwich. I was skeptical at first, but it was good and I was pleasantly surprised, usually they’re bland but I guess with all the add ons it gave it some flavor. They have an awesome sandwich selection for meat eaters and vegetarians alike. Definitely a great sandwich spot for me. Get a stamp card and earn your free sandwich.

Great idea for a sandwich shop! You start at the menu & choose what kind of sandwich you want(chicken, turkey, seafood, etc.) Then you grab a paper bag & start filling it out. You choose the size, bread or bowl, & all the fillings on the bag. So awesome! Great for those who know what they want so you don’t have to wait in line or for those who don’t know what they want because you can take your time. Win-win! After you fill out your bag just bring to the register to pay. I’ve never been disappointed with their sandwiches. The use quality ingredients! Heads up! Grab a couple of bags for the future or save the paper bag you used(if it’s still clean of course). You can fill it out ahead of time so if you’re in a hurry during your lunch break you have it ready. They also have a punch card so you can get a free sandwich!
