Worst subway ever. There was a long line At 1:30 and only two people were assisting. They moved slowly and didn’t ask about details with the order. They toasted my sandwich without asking if I wanted it toasted. Just stuck it in the oven. I didn’t want it toasted. And then they did a horrible wrapping job so my sandwich was a sticky and disorganized mess when I got back to eat it. Seriously, sandwiches should not get all over you like this. Horrible experience, no quality service. Never coming to this subway again.

So I’m looking at all the recent reviews of this place and think wow! It sucks to be you guys, my visit here was quick and efficient lol I WAS, however, a little taken back that I wasn’t able to place an order through the Subway app at this location. It should be pretty standard, every restaurant has an app these days. But I digress. It was a groggy Sunday morning and all I wanted was to have some subway and orange juice for my hangover. I stopped at the Ralph’s right in front of here and picked up some OJ, and popped into Subway to order my sandwich. There were two people working and no customers. Score! Everything was pretty standard subway fare from then out. The girl behind the counter made my sandwiches right, and didn’t take too long. I ordered a side of banana peppers and she put them in the little cup while the girl at the register rang me up. All smiles even though I had my sunglasses on and didn’t talk much haha. I grabbed my stuff and left. It was as fast as it was gonna be without ordering and paying through the app. My spicy Italian sandwich tasted great at home and I couldn’t have been more thankful lol. I’m sorry for everyone who’s had a bad experience, maybe I’m just lucky: p Thanks subway fam!

I’m going to give 1 star because the hours of service are not updated. I come here on Sunday night at 10:10 pm and it was closed. It got me frustrated to got dressed and drive up here just to find it closed.

The reason this place gets two stars is because of its service. There was only one person working here and a long line. I would have given it one star, but the single employee that was working was doing her best.

The girl gives me attitude from the get go. Then asks what I want for veggies. I said«pickles and mayo» and she starts throwing lettuce on it. Get a dirty look from the other guy too. Just not the best customer service. Threw me off so much I forgot to order a cookie lol

I come to this Subway every so often, and I noticed that recently it appears they have a new manager. All I saw her do the last time I was here was yell and whine for her employees to come help customers. Why can’t she help out with the customers too? Seems like petty, disappointing management running this joint. The employees look unhappy every time I come in, likely for good reason considering the manager is such a rude snob. Considering the circumstances the employees are under however, they do a decent job. My sandwiches always come out good and the place is respectably clean. Just a little disgusted with how the place is run, and the manager is such a sorry excuse for a manager. Rating this place one star for her extremely poor attitude, as I believe establishments reflect greatly off of how the manager operates.

Zero stars if Unilocal let me. Fist visit, the lady puts mustard on my sandwich when I know I didn’t ask for it, argues with me when I told her NOMUSTARD, and only tried to pick off the mustard. What if I was allergic? Second visit, I get my sandwich made, again with a lot of attitude from the staff. I did not see the sign on the door about no large bills accepted, and the cashier asked the manager if they could accept the large bill, and the manager says«there’s a sign on the door if you would just read, geez». And storms off. Worst subway I’ve ever been to and I will let everyone at the college next door to avoid this shit hole. Absolutely horrible!

Absolute bulls**T. Walked in and I wasn’t helped out until after the 2 employees has a full conversation in Spanish. Another employee saw me and said«I can’t help him I’m busy«as she proceeded to finish the rest of her text. And then as my sandwich was being made. The girl helping me pulled up her pants and used the same gloves to make my sandwich. You entire staff has no idea what they are doing and all look sweaty and gross. Never coming back to this shithole.

I am writing this review because on more than one occasion this subway location has provided me poor service. The first incident was a Sunday evening. There was only one person working. I walked in as one gentleman was being serviced. The woman behind the counter was working as slow as a snail to finish this mans orderWhen he asked«Can I have???» The woman corrected him and said«may I…» Rude much? Who cares how he said it just make the food! She didn’t change her gloves between sandwiches. She proceeded onto mine, made half and then. Made half of the other two customers food before finishing mine. I mean I would think just finish one and go on to the next? I was there for 40 minutes waiting for my food. I thought subway was suppose to be quick? Or at least faster then that. Today I returned thinking I’d give them another try. For the most part service was fine except for the employees were so quiet I could barely hear their questions. There was more people working then the last time but I did notice that when the woman cut my foot long in half she used a knife that was covered in avocado. Maybe I’m allergic to whatever was on that knife? Not only all that but I feel like they always skimp on the meat and other vegetables but over power on the lettuce. Maybe I’m expecting too much? But I’m positive I’ve been to other locations and had better results

Truth be told I am not a particular fan of Subway but have given this one a chance on a few occasions due to its proximity to the place I get my hair cut. Overall I find the food to be uninspired and bland, but the people are kind and always with a smile.

My husband and I got food poisoning from this location. We ate the sandwiches immediately after they were made on Sunday afternoon. My husband got sick a couple hours later and I got sick in the middle of the night. We both had to take off work to recover. If you have ever had food poisoning you wouldn’t wish it on your worst enemy. We took off work because we are both high level managers in the culinary field. We could not be around food in our condotion. I called the manager in the morning to let her know. She informed me she did not know what needed to be done because she has never had this happen. She said her GM or DM would call me immediately. No call. If you work in food service industry you are taking peoples lives in your hands. It is the responsibilty of the employee and manager to ensure that that responsibility is not taken lightly. The employees need to be properly trained on how to handle food. In this case it could be batches of tainted product either from the establishment or their vendors. We just wanted something quick to eat at a place chain we rarely go to. We never imagined this would happen.

Last night I called this location 2‘ times(it was a Sunday night and I wanted to make sure they were open). No one answered, but we decided to drive by anyway. We pull up and it looks open so we walk in, and the young lady tells us that her«system is down» and she cannot serve us anything. She looks very panicked and distressed. We get no other explanation, other than that we cannot be served. Let’s just say I work in the industry. The last thing I want to happen is for a guest to leave pissed off. We got no apology, no recommendation to go to another subway, no cookie, sandwich, smile… Nothing. So we drive to another Subway. You lost 2 customers on that one.

I’m a vegetarian and hate being that person to ask if they can change their gloves because having worked with customers it sucks to deal with a-holes. The guy was more than willing and prepared my whole sandwich for me and was very understanding and nice.

I have no problem giving this place 5 stars. It’s located in a busy shopping center of Mission Valley yet they keep it very clean. The staff is always friendly and is never annoyed of the crowded business that they receive. I always like to go here for a pitstop on my way home for a good ol’ favre dolla footlong. They’re very generous with their portions and get me in and out within 5 mins. The meatball marinara is delicious and always piping hot. They don’t skimp you out on the meatballs and it tastes flavorful instead of a stale ball that’s been there for a whole day. They probably change it out very often since it’s one of their most popular menu items.

Normally I would never use Unilocal to review a standard everywhere-chain like Subway, but the other day I stopped in and this sweet kid making my sandwich was so polite. This old man in front of me had his walker and was headed out the door, and the sweet kid said to me, «Excuse me just a moment,» and he took of his sandwich gloves and ran to open the door for the old man! Then he came back, washed his hands, and apologized to me for the interruption! I wish more moms raised their boys like that.

I have been in many Subways here locally, around the states; and I know you have to. I’ve also been in Subways around the world and I have to tell you that this Subway in the Ralph’s shopping center is the best#1, we have ever been to. The definition of what a Subway sandwich should be is right here. All the staff is consistent in making that #1 sandwich. They are also polite, cheerful, respectful and make sure they notice you with a «welcome to Subway» or a «thank you for coming and hope to see you again». I’m not sure why this Subway is better when they get the same training but they have the magic. When we’re on the other side of town and we’re craving Subway we drive the extra mile just to eat right at this one. It’s definitely worth it, good job crew!

Not much to be said for subway that you dont already know, unless you’ve never eaten subway, which would be weird. So if your reading reviews on this place my guess is that its to see if it’s clean or safe to eat at, because I’ve seen some subways where it’s like playing Russian roulette with food poisioning. This is not that place. It is very clean, safe to eat at and it’s actually a pretty nice subway. I don’t remember whether service was good bc, guess what, it’s subway. Who cares? Do you need your sandwich artist to be bubbly? Go to tgif’s…they have to be friendly, and they wear cool flare. Get over the service, you probably wouldn’t love your job either if your day consisted of making sandwiches(I’ve actually done this in my teenage years-so i feel you subway peeps-fist bump) so go grab a sandwich(they are healthy and yummy) maybe a cookie(omg sooo good) and overpay bc yes I think subway is overpriced, then go eat it on one of those patio tables outside. Its always sunny here, enjoy the day!
