How am I just now leaving a review for my favorite lunchtime spot!?! Love everything about this place. Delicious falafel, fast service, the friendliest people. I usually get a Greek salad with falafel on top, but everything is delicious! From the tacos, to the wraps, to the hummus with the perfect amount of pita bread, this place is the best!

Was wandering around the area looking for a place to have lunch and decided to give Meze a try. I have a special liking for Gyro wraps because I love that spicy ketchup texture sauce. Unfortunately, the hot sauce here was liquidy and more like a salsa. Was a little sour and although other Unilocal reviews seem to like it, it wasn’t for me. I got the gyro with Meze fries. A little pricy for«fast food». I also checked in and got a free drink. The woman who I presume was the manager or owner was really sweet. The gyro looked great but they were a little heavy with the tzatziki sauce(easily fixed by asking them for less). The flavor of the meat was good and wrap was filling but the pickled turnip was meh. I imagine I would have enjoyed the pickled flavor if they had the hot sauce I was hoping for, but unfortunately they didn’t. The Meze fries were crispy and the texture of in n out fries. The feta was a nice touch. Overall I enjoyed my meal, but would have enjoyed it more if I wasn’t so damn particular with gyro wraps. Also, as another review posted, the cashier employees do always appear to be on their phones haha but they were still attentive and it didn’t appear to slow or prevent them from doing their job. My order was taken promptly and the food was delivered quickly.

Tried the Greek salad with chicken, and hummus with flat bread. Quick service and food was good. Recommend!

Yum I ve tried both salads here with chicken. The chicken is really good and moist and you get a lot of it! It was a little pricey for a salad, $ 10 but the portion size is good. They have deals on Tuesdays! They will also give you whatever type of sauce you want, no extra charge.

Got the gyro wrap. It’s huge with lots of meat inside. They give you some vinegar based hot sauce which has a good flavor with some kick. $ 9 and some change for a fast food lunch might keep you from going back more often. Free soda with a Unilocal checkin. I’d give it 3.5 stars.

This is definitely our new fav go-to weekend lunch and/or dinner option. We enjoyed it the 1st time and can’t seem to resist ordering from here at least once a weekend. I can’t imagine the temptation if I actually worked in the area. The chicken has been tender, tasty and juicy Every. Single. Time. We’ve varied our side orders between the grilled veggies, fried, salad & rice and NEVER been disappointed. Wanting to try one of the gyro options soon! Fantastic &SUPER fast service. Easy, convenient parking. You just can’t go wrong here.

I usually choose Greek because they have nice, fresh options. In this case my chicken plate came with very saucy chicken, soggy over grilled vegetables and cold, soggy fries. The two employees working were sitting at the front counter staring at their phones when I walked in and went right back to that as soon as I’d ordered. Good food isn’t that hard to make and deliver.

A friend(whom I consider a foodie) recommended this place, but we found it to be average. We ordered the gyros special(gryos in wrap with side drink) and Friday special(chicken kaboob with rice and pita bread). The food was okay and a little plain). We also had the babaganoush(okay) and fries(needs to be crispier). I got a free drink with my Unilocal checkin and the people were very nice.

First time to visit Meze, only by chance. Staff was friendly and since I was not that hungry I only ordered the meze fries with Peta. Nice and crunchy with enough Peta spread evenly atop the fries. My wife tried the taco combo so we can sample more on the menu. All 3 sampler tasted great and it was just the right portion for a lunch menu. Will come back to try some more and will recommend to my friends to visit. During our visit we observed other menu items from other customers and everyone seem to be enjoying their meal. One side note: I participate with Five Stars program an disappointed to know that they had the sign/sticker at the entrance but are not an active or no longer with the program. I would recommend to remove because it’s misleading. Just a thought…

This is my go-to place when I forget my lunch. It is so quick to put in a phone order and just pick it up since it’s down the street from me. I usually get the plate order with grilled chicken, salad, and meze(garlic) fries. Fills me up and more! They also have the nice drink vending machine with a wide variety of flavors so there’s that for the soda drinkers. Overall the place is great. Can be packed sometimes during lunch hour. But overall it’s a great place to get a quick Greek food.

Came in today. I’m still full here laying on my couch. Ordered take out. I had already started eating my food when I took this picture. Ordered the 3 taco gyro combo. Haven’t had greek food in a long time. Probably 2 yrs? They also have one of those new touchscreen soda machines that I seen on tv before. I’m still full. You get your money’s worth.

I had one of each of the tacos(4). Finished all but the Falafel taco, took it home and reheated it in the microwave, still delicious. Great Mediterranean flavors and textures infused into the classic Mexican staple. The feta-fire fries are fantastic! A quality, healthy, quick-bite restaurant! The in-house made sauce is amazing, it wasn’t for sale yet but they sold me one of the refill table bottles from the back. I will definitely be back to buy more!

Great go to spot for lunch in Mission Valley. Priced accordingly but they do have a Friday special for a Gyros wrap and drink for $ 5.75, great deal. I must say, they have THEE best vinegar based hot sauce. It’s addicting. If you’re in a time crunch, call ahead to order. The wait at lunch can be longer that expected because the assemble everything fresh. And don’t forget to check-in on Unilocal for free drink.

A decent place to get some quick Greek food. I stopped by here after work one day because I wanted to get a healthy wrap(as opposed to getting a chicken sandwich from Chick Fil A, haha). I got a chicken wrap and a small Greek salad for my side. Both tasted pretty good; I didn’t have any complaints. While I sat in to eat my food, a lot of people came in here to get their food to go. I can’t say that I was particularly wow’ed by this place, but as long as I don’t get sick and the food wasn’t awful, then it’s an a-ok place in my book.

Meze Express is a good in between option for the area. If you don’t want a chain sit down joint or fast food Meze Express does its job and provides food when you would like to something to eat. I’ve been a few times but usually just get the falafel. You can get the falafel sandwich for $ 9 with one side. It’s a little steep, but I thought the falafel was a good size. It’s not super flavorful, but that’s what the tahini, tzatiki and hot sauce are for. I always order greek salad as my side but it’s just lettuce, onions, olives and feta; dressing is a balsamic — it’s not exciting so skip it. Probably better to get the grilled veggies or fries with feta. You can also get a chicken or sharwma sandwich for the same price. Not a bad place — there’s also free soda upon Unilocal check-in.

On a whim, while out running errands in the evening, I did a quick Unilocal search for kabob/gyro wraps, which brought us here! We were greeted by the nicest cashier. She explained the menu and that the concept was a spin-off of the full-service Meze downtown. I settled on a chicken pita wrap with meze fries(with garlic and feta). I inquired about the firey feta and she brought me out a side of it to try! The quality of the food and ingredients far exceeded my expectations! The chicken was very high quality! It was nice breast pieces, so moist and lemony with a nice char from the grill. The pita was soft, hot and also slightly charred! The fries were In-n-Out style fresh cut! Not the frozen proceed product you find at most places. I have to admit, the food was much more farm-to-table style than you would typically find at a fast-casual restaurant. I’d put them in the same conversation as Tender Greens! They also make their own sauces and dips in house. Even their own hot sauce, but sadly, it had cilantro in it… And the portions were hefty for the price point. I would say the food was a solid 4 stars, but the level of service and friendliness, brought Meze up to a full 5!

Meze Express is conveniently located in the Hazard Center shopping plaza near my work. It is a little expensive — $ 9 for a gyros sandwich and one side dish — but was good. If you check in on Unilocal, you can get a free soda with your order. I will be back when I’m craving a Gyros and greek salad! +1 Conveniently located in Hazard Center shopping center +1 Good gyros and greek salad +1 Unilocal check in deal for free soda –1 A bit expensive –1 No thrills seating

I stopped by this new eatery for an early lunch, the little sister of Meze downtown San Diego. I ordered the lentil soup for $ 3.50, and gyros wrap with a side of Greek oven roasted potatoes for $ 9. The lentil soup had a savory flavor and it was good and came with some great multi-grain crisp pita chips( ). However, I did feel it needed more lentils and it was a bit on the oily side, just a bit( ). Those pita chips were a great treat and I hope they keep those. The gyros wrap and Greek potatoes had their good points and few areas that needed improvement( ). First, the wrap was of good size and came with a average amount of tasty gyros meat( ). The Tzatziki Sauce was very cold, which quickly cooled down the gryos meat, consequently, I would bite into cold gyros meat than some warm meat, so it made eating the gyro wrap, not as enjoyable as it should of been. Also, the end of the pita wrap, that was wrapped in foil, was burnt and so was some of the meat. Therefore, overall it was an okay wrap, that I wanted to be a fan of, but with a little more attention to detail, I am sure I will be. The Greek oven potatoes were interesting. I really liked that they piled on the feta cheese because I love that cheese( ). The potatoes had a nice color, but they were overly soft and the sauce had and aggressive amount of lemon, which gave them a sour after taste( ). Don’t get me wrong, I like lemon, just not so much on potatoes. I think these potatoes needed some sort of exterior textural appeal, like a light crust, because the sauce made them to soft and one dimensional. A very nice young lady took my order at the counter. So, service was quite good. I believe this eatery is going to do well with a few tweaks here and there, and they have some nice things on their menu like the Greek tacos, the Greek Caprese, and Greek nachos. I say bring it!
