Best choice at the food court Mission Valley Mall. After movies we like to order here, a small veggie for my wife and a Philly cheese streak for me. The fries are fresh and crisp. Charley’s offers good quality and quantity for your money. Watch them grill you sub, it is always fresh and just the way you want it. Pick the topings and enjoy.

We were able to check out this place today. Mission valley mall food court. The subs are okay, decent enough to get you through your shopping spree lol the fries are better and their prices are average for a food court in a mall. We chose the Chicken Philly, Philly Cheese Steak and the Buffalo Chicken. They were all equally good. Spent $ 27

Everytime I decide to shop at the mission valley mall, I always make a stop to eat here. Hot subs, fresh French fries and ice cold lemonades. Fast and delicious. 5 stars :)

Two stars because the food was actually pretty good! But the customer service, not so much! The cashier was as dull as a broken pencil! No personality at all! Not a thank you, not a smile, nothing! I went back to the counter three times after ordering… once for a side of ranch that I didn’t get with our food, second time for napkins, that i never did end up getting(thank God for a restaurant next door!) And the third time for a to go bag. All three times the two ppl that were there working were rude, not friendly, and«Debbie downers» in general! Next time we visit the Westfield food court, we’ll be eating nextdoor at the Sarku Japanese food place, where they’re smiling, laughing, dancing around, chatting with their customers AND they have napkins, utensils, and sauces available at no charge! Charleys, if you wanna stay in business, I suggest you clean house and hire staff that have a soul!!! Also, a tray would have been handy since I ordered 3 subs, 3 drinks, and 3 fries while holding a toddler and pushing a stroller! Thanks for that! Ugh

This place is good eats. It is mall food but the people are generous and offer samples. I had no issues and the food came out hot, prompt, and just as ordered. Delicious.

Fat boys working here are RUDE!!! Just bought a philly steak large sub side or chilly fries and a large strawberry signature drink for my husband and I. Guys was mad for me asking for a little ranch on the sub and only provided 1 napkin… Been a Charley’s customer for quite sometime now and never encountered such a bad service before. Choose this location today as I live 5 minutes away butI will rather drive to Bonita mall Charley’s than ever go back here. 0 stars from me if I could put 0 of course.

Total mall food. It’s fun to watch them cook your food. The prices were not to high. The fries were petty good, not the best. I think the the people working there hate their jobs and look miserable. But, back to the food. Made to order. They got our order correct. My daughter choose the Philly cheesesteak large with cheese and bacon fries. The fries were ok. The sandwich tasted bland and reminded me of Arby’s. So, I asked for some jalapeños and they handed them right over. I think my kid really enjoyed it, and that makes me happy too.

I went here and there was an Asian guy who may have been a manager. He had terrible customer service and was rude. I ordered a sandwich and he made it. It was like he literally smashed the bread with his hand. There were finger indents all over the bread. And he didn’t wrap it very well. When I opened it all the cheese was stuck to the paper. Literally none of the cheese stayed on the sandwich. And normally they put foil paper on it but he did not. It was also very soggy. And when he was done making it, He just stuck it up on the counter but he didn’t even say«here you go» or indicate it was mine. He just threw it there and continued to act frantic, like it was busy or something, even though I and one other person were the only customers at the time, which is how I assumed it was my sandwich. If you see him do not go there. But if he is gone then it’s is tolerable.

Had to grab a quick lunch with my wife and son, I like Philly cheese steak subs and figured I would give it a try. Bad idea, the manager or owner was an ass hole to my wife, yelled at her about the drink. Mind you we can’t understand what he’s saying because his accent is soo strong so we kept saying«I’m sorry?» and«I didn’t hear you.» And he had the worst attitude. Besides his cooks gave my sandwich to someone else. The meat was super dry and tough and they drenched my sandwich in their so called Philly sauce in which I said easy sauce, and the fries were terrible, I could cook frozen fries better than what they served. I will never eat here again! However the Chicago Pizza place right next to these idiots was very good!

Subs taste very good, When I stop at this mall while traveling trough san diego, I like to eat here. That will no longer be the case. These people have just lost my business forever. Everything was ok with my order until I went for a refill and the guy very rudely gave me my refill, when I went for a second refil he tells me very mad«Refills are extra! only one free refill». I looked everywhere and nowhere in their establishment states of that being the case. Sad to see a business that has no customer service and treats people like they are doing you a favor.

I’ve eaten a few philly subs. And I don’t know why but this was terrible. Avoid this place if possible. Lots of other places with better quality Ingredients as well as taste.

Chili cheese fries were good. Sandwhiches look great but are on the bland side.

Had to take my daughter to the mall for a book run and we were starving, but had to eat on the cheap. We decided to stop at Charley’s in the food court b/c they were handing out samples of the Chicken Teriyaki sub which was pretty good. For a grilled sandwich it was good. Everything was cooked through. Nice cheese to meat ratio. Decent taste. The sandwich came with ultimate fries which were fries w/cheese, bacon bits and ranch. They were okay but got soggy pretty fast. If I was at the mall and didn’t want some of the other mall fare, I might pick up a Charley’s sub again. But for the price, I would rather go to one of the other restaurants and get a full meal for a few bucks more.

Delicious Philly cheesesteaks. The bread is perfect. The lemonades have changed. They now serve strawberry, peach and blueberry. Peach is okay and I liked the chunks of peaches at the bottom.

Wish I would have read the reviews before goog. We had a coupon to get a free sub w purchase of a combo. We got the traditional Philly cheesesteak and the chicken teriyaki… Neither looked even remotely like the picture on the wall. Hands down the most boring Philly cheesesteak sandwich I ever had. Sad. Will not go again.

It was ok. I got the special which was the chicken cheesesteak. I’ve never had a chicken cheesesteak but it wasn’t amazing. Just average I guess. It’s a chain, so what do you expect?

If you are a fan of flavor, do not come here. I ordered a chicken sandwich, and man was I disappointed. There was no flavor. My meal basically tasted like cafeteria food. Generic white sub-sandwich bread, with generically cooked chicken. And what was supposed to have cheese and onion on it, ended up being a sandwich with only the last bite containing the two. As for wait time, for generic cooked food, they sure did take a while. I waited for about 15 minutes to eat a disgustingly plain sandwich. I wish that I could say that this was a fluke thing, but judging on my friends’ own experiences, I’m not the only one.

I needed a quick snack before a movie so I opted to try their fish filet sandwich. $ 6 for an overcooked, hard piece of fried fish. EW…

I wish I could give this a 3−½ stars. I was shopping and suddenly got hungry, like, I have to eat right now or else I’m gonna pass out hungry. The lady at the Indian place gave me a sample of the chicken tikka and it tasted like butter melted with curry and heaven. I was thisclose to getting some when I felt guilty and like I should eat something slightly better for me. So I got a teryaki chicken sub from Charley’s with fries. It was way better than I thought it would be! The sandwich was made with grilled onions and melted Swiss cheese, and the fries were surprisingly tasty. Afterwards I didn’t feel like ingested 1,000 calories of greasy food court slop. Not that the sandwich was healthy or anything, but the sign did say it was 6 grams of fat or less. You go, food court!
