David and Cathi are wonderful teachers! My daughter and I both take piano lessons. I take piano from Cathi because I enjoy classical music. My daughter, Maggie takes piano from Dave because she likes all the «young» music. Their team can teach you any style your heart desires. They are both very flexible with our crazy schedule, which I appreciate enormously! The convenience of having an at-​home lesson is very rare today. They show up at our door on time, ready to teach with a huge smile. David is wonderful with my daughter. He has an uncanny ability to make her laugh and learn all at the same time.
I would recommend American Music Academy to anyone who wants to learn music. Did I also mention — David is multi-​talented — he plays many different instruments AND he also teaches vocals. Thanks for bringing music into our lives!

David was recommended to us by a neighbor when we were looking for a guitar teacher for our children and we couldn’t be happier. He taught both electric and acoustic guitar weekly in our home and was very accommodating to our schedule changes during the year. After a couple of years, David suggested another one of his instructors for our son because of their shared interested in Rock music and it has also been a perfect match. James has an excellent instruction style, helping breakdown complex musical pieces for our son to master in easy steps.
I also love the recitals David’s team has organized. Setting a performance goal keeps students on track and it is so fun to see the range of ages from very young to senior citizens performing at the recitals. I highly recommend David, Cathi and all their instructors at the American Music Academy!
