I loved Amore’s pizza. The garlic knots were also excellent. How did Liberty pizza outlast Amore directly across the street? Very sad. My only complaint about Amore was the time they didn’t honor the vouchers even while they were still offered for sale. I’ll miss you and will have to go back to Hoboken…

We stayed at the Pacific View Inn and were STARVING! We found this place on Unilocal/iPhone maps and it had great reviews from past consumers. We ordered our pizza(BBQ Chicken pizza 18″, and it was made quick and on time(15 minutes, and the staff was extremely friendly and very customer oriented. Unfortunately the pizza wasn’t all that great, the pizza was large, their wasn’t a whole lot of chicken on the pizza(maybe ½ of a 8 oz chicken breasts sliced to ¼ inch), and the crusts unfortunately was cooked way too much and was like cardboard, the sauce on the pizza was definitely very limited(but the sauce itself was amazing, but scarce, and the cheese tastes a bit old. Unfortunately a international pizza shop like hungry Howies, Pizza Hut, or little caesars $ 5.00 pizza definitely would have tasted better, and our pizza had a list price of $ 22.00. …But the service was great! Hopefully it was just this night possibly due to a slow customer flow or busy employees. I’m not sure, but we kindly gave the restaurant a 3 star out of 5. Thank you! And Good Eats!

This place is usually good but go inside for the pizza. Our dilvery pizza was cold & half cooked & soggy in the middle. Their other food is very good. I love the eggplant parma. If you do dilvery know that they only have one size pizza… large. but they are very fast with the dilvery time. I probably won’t order pizza for dilvery again but I do like it by the slice when we go inside. They are opened until like 3am so a good place to go after the bars.

It’s been good before but this time we asked for it to go and he crammed 3 pieces in a bag, it dropped grease the whole way to the beach(2 blocks) and the guy was not as friendly as some of the others have been. Plus I’m not native to California and still not used to this $ 1 charge for using my card. Isn’t this 2014? Wouldn’t hurry back to this place!

Disgusting on the inside, all the seats are torn, tables are dirty and the place is just a rat hole. On top of that they charge you 75 cents to use a card! What a ridiculous fee. I live 2 blocks away and was looking for a decent pizza spot but will never go there again! Service was just okay but everything else was not worth it. Save your money and go somewhere that doesn’t try to nickle and dime their customers.

The pizza is always great here at Amoré, only to be rivaled by the service! The girl that works there and the delivery guy on Friday night are really nice and helpful no matter what we order. They are extremely friendly and do a great job of making you feel welcome. Every time my wife and I have visited, we haven’t had to wait very long and when we order pizza by the slice it is always fresh! We even tried a calzone one time, the girl warned us that it could feed 6 people and boy, she was NOT joking! We ate for lunch the next TWO days! Watch out for those«garlic knots» they are waaaaaay too good to be legal! I highly recommend trying some of their exciting slices. Don’t just get cheese or pepp. Our favorites are the«chicken ranch», «bacon & jalapeño», the margarita”, and«New Yorker»!

I’ve been a long time customer here. I love the garlic knots! Customer service is great, and the manager is awesome. They deal with a lot of the younger crowd late at night and have always been respectful and courteous. I will be very sad when we move next spring, I will miss their food!

Came in around 11:30AM for a few slices. Place was empty, but looking at the half served pizzas behind the glass it appeared the lunch crowd had already been flowing in. Hmmmm… something didn’t make sense. So being that I was starving, and despite the fact I knew better, I went ahead and ordered two slices. Sure enough, it was last night’s pizza put out again for the lunch hour. The crust along the edge was so hard I couldn’t even bite into it. Gross. What a ripoff.

Amore has been the go-to pizza place for me & my friends for years. Not only is the pizza NY style delicious, but the customer service is awesomely fast and friendly! We bring all our out of town visiting guests here as part of any day or night out, and everyone loves it. Highly recommend for just a couple quick slices(they always have a large variety ready-made), or for custom whole pie orders ;DDD yum

This is my favorite pizza place in pb for quick and easy delivery. The pies are fresh, their garlic knots are incredible and the servers are always happy even when busy. Obviously they carry thin crust and it’s always hot and crispy but nice and soft on top. Their cannolis are definitely worth a try for dessert, not the best but hits the spot for convince. Overall I really enjoy this pizza spot.

75 cent charge for using a card? Bringing my total for one slice of average pizza to over four dollars with tax. It is ILLEGAL to have a card surcharge, people. Not in this day in age. Costco! I’m coming! Warm a combo pizza for me!

I live this place! Its great! My sister took me in here on a weekday right when they ordered for some Zeppolis. I have looked all over in Little Italy and have not been able to find a bakery that makes the Zeppolis anymore. Not even the honey Bee Bakery which caries an array of pastries. The pizza was great. I love the thin crust and the crunch it gives you. The garlic knots are awesome. They are however a really thoc dough so if you like thic pizza this makes up for it. We met the owner in the morning time. He was really friendly and would even suggest other Italian Restaurants and a Philly cheese Steak house, if you didnt care for anything on the menu. Very friendly amd I have been there twice within the last two weeks! I will be going again!

Nothing in Pacific Beach is out of this world in terms of food. Amore is no different. After a long day at the beach I was craving a yummy slice of pizza with a bunch of toppings so walking back to my car I noticed Amore pizza on Mission Blvd. It smelled decent from inside but when I walked inside all I saw was a bunch of old pizza slices behind a glass counter. Some of them looked like really weird combinations. Artichoke and feta, pepperoni and banana peppers, yuck. They had a few slices of pepperoni left so I ordered two and they threw them in the oven to heat up. They brought it out to me and the slice was literally swimming in grease. I could have filled up a small plastic cup with all the grease that was on the slice. My first bite was pretty bland so I poured a bunch of red peppers, parmesan and oregano on the slice and it was edible. Just another below average eatery in PB.

ive noticed a trend with any place i visit because i have a deal… mediocrity. in this case, i had the option for a certificate to Amore. the overall Unilocal rating was promising so i gave it a go — afterall, $ 10 off a purchase of $ 15 or more isn’t a huge loss if its not stellar. and thats pretty much how i felt. i got a slice of margarita and BBQ chicken pizza. maybe i was eating too slow, but the slices were just extremely dry as though it had been sitting out a very long time. ive had plenty of reheated pizza by the slice and it never was affected as much as it was here, esp for the BBQ chicken slice. thats really all i have to say. ambiance is lame and pizza is dry. i have a feeling the reviews are heavily skewed by late night drunk pizza cravings while bar hopping down in PB. lasting impression? i dont need to eat here ever again. there is far better pizza out there in this town.

Their Garlic Knots are amazing! My friends and I went here after surfing at Law’s Beach. Service was okay not bad. Cashier gets to the point. I understand, but when running a business or dealing with customer service, you should always be bubbly etc. just to keep people coming back. If not, then customer service is just not for you.

This place has terrible customer service. First off as soon as we walked in the girl in front didn’t even greet us. was leaning over the counter, on her cell phone. when it came to ordering she was rushing us. we chose to sit somewhere and we were redirected to sit else where. Then she had the nerve to ask if we wanted to sit back were we first sat. Next she had her friends stop by and some little boy was running behind the counter and giving him garlic balls while they were making our pizza. If it wasn’t for the $ 30 dollar pizza on debt we would have walked out. I believe she said her name was carolina. I am hoping this gets to who needs to see it to help your pizzeria out. She needs to be cut with the attitude problem she has.

Spacious, friendly, good deals, and GREAT food! I literally just woke up from a nap after stuffing myself with their awesome menu. They have so many topping choices and for veggie lovers, this is perfect. I got artichokes, basil, mushrooms, and garlic and all the flavor was there(Not burned/cooked out of it like most pizza). They have so many different varieties sold by-the-slice, huge calzones, and so much I haven’t even tried yet. Their cheesecake is perfect(creamy but, firm enough to cut with a spoon without being sugary or flaky). For first timers, I recommend the garlic dots. These are a meal in themselves and the most amazing garlic bread I’ve ever had in my life. Goodbye, Dominoes.

Was in here Good Friday. I try to stick to my Christian upbringing, so after a long drive back from Mammoth, I needed to get some chow around 10:15 before going out to get some barley and hops @ Dirty Birds. As a sober eater, I had the same pleasant experience. Nice enough staff, good chow and iced tea on tap(I gave up soda for Lent). Plenty of room to sit, clean and affordable. No problems.
