Hoboken Pizza & Beer Joint

I’ve never actually been here or gotten their food but my room mate got a pizza and it’s simply outstanding.

Their pizza is great and the calzones are Huge! They have a great lunch deal, two slices and a beer or soda for $ 7/​$ 9. They are very friendly and the inside of the restaurant is spacious and clean. It also helps that I live right behind their location so I can just walk over and get pizza.

I’ve been here many times, either as a pre-​bar or post-​bar «meal.» There is nothing fancy about this restaurant. Somewhere in this place, there’s a dollar bill taped on the wall, noting when I was here last year with some friends. There’s wooden booths and tables, you get your own soda, and you order at a counter. Someone will bring you your food, but for the most part, the guys are busy making pizza. I should note beer is not served after 11PM, so be aware! I like Hoboken MUCH better than Woodstock’s down the street due to better pizza and feeling more homey inside.
Frankly, I find this to be a better pizza than some New York City joints. It’s a bit greasier, but just use some paper towels to soak up the pools. After all, it’s not pizza unless you have fat! The pizza isn’t too salty in my opinion, and the crust is just right. It’s not too heavy, just crunchy enough!
I have spent as much as $ 30 on a large pizza, Caesar salad, and a root beer. You can buy pizza by the slice (about $ 7 for two slices and a soda), which is much cheaper and of course, quicker. The last time a friend and I ate, we ordered a few pepperoni slices each, and the restaurant just gave us an extra complimentary slice. That was very nice of them!
I will probably be back again. It’s not uncommon for me to pick up a slice of pizza, walk back to the apartment, and drunkards drool as I pass by. I am sure by eating a slice while walking, this place gets lots of free advertisement!

Pizza is my favorite food, and I F**KING LOVE Hoboken. It’s literally everything I want out of a pizza place. The pizza is delicious, the beer is cheap, and the place itself is perfect. They always have good music playing, lots of tvs, the décor is fun, plus, there’s a big shout out to my obscure little hometown in MA on one of the walls so… that’s awesome :)
Ordering tip: It’s best to stick to one or two toppings if you’re ordering a whole pie, and this goes for all NY style pizza, not just Hoboken. If you want more ask for the crust to be well-​done. It takes longer but it’s well worth the wait.

My gf and I ordered a pizza from Hoboken tonight on New Year’s Eve at about 12:30 am. Our pizza was accidentally given away to the wrong person. I’m sure because of the high volume of orders and mass confusion. But they called us 15 minutes later and the situation was quickly resolved, even after they had closed at 2 am. We will be back! Went with one friend. Ordered a whole pizza. Big mistake. The pizza was average but I think the mistake was ordering a whole pie instead of just getting slices. The slices look way better and bigger and more worth the price. If they don’t look appetizing, no one will buy them! However, with the whole pie you already paid for it and it doesn’t really matter to them how good it turns out– they’re going to care more about the slices than the whole pies.
Summary: Order by the slice instead of a whole pie!!!

Was at work one night and a customer came in and brought me 2 slice’s of pizza from here. It was the best pizza I have had in a very long time. Its been a week and I’m still craving pizza from here. Best believe my next day off I will be going down the street to eat here. Excellent pepperoni pizza.

The best pizza spot in the area. So freaking good! They are made to order so no pizza are made in advance, they’re fresh! I always get black olives, jalapeño peppers and green peppers and it’s so flavorful!

In town for business, and I come and try this local pizza joint, and I was not disappointed! I don’t think I could eat a whole pie, so I grabbed a slice of their thick and thin crust slice, and went back to the hotel. Now I wish I ate it there so I could grab another slice. Thanks!

It does take some time for the pizza to come out, depending on the time and day, but it’s worth it. However, every time I came here I burnt the roof of my mouth because the pizza is really really hot. The dudes are super nice and chill there, hard-​working. I love thin crust. Good amount and balance of everything. Came here a couple of times with my bf and will come here again in the future

VEGETARIANS get tomato, pesto and basil pizza! You won’t be disappointed. Best NY style pizza in San Diego! My only complaint is the hours of operation are so weird. I wanted pizza for lunch on a Thursday and the phone just rang forever. I guess they don’t open till 4pm. I’ll wait though, shit was bomb.

We love Hoboken. Mostly because we love good pizza… And Jason (but not in a weird way). My fiancé and I work at four local restaurants between the two of us, which means we never use Unilocal.Ever. In fact I feel weird about writing a review. Anyway, I digress. The pizza at Hoboken is delicious, the prices are right, and Jason is the best. Sunday nights are our night to get pizza but even when we show up another random night, Jason is there with a smile and a slice. We work long hours serving terrible people and we are grateful for the deliciousness that is Hoboken pizza, and the chill, no hassle vibe that is the atmosphere there. I don’t know where to go from here… So. Thanks guys. We appreciate you!

Visit this pizza restaurant. It is awesome. The guys are having fun, great prices, family party place.
The best North East style pizza in San Diego. Thin crust so they deliver pizza flavor not just tomato sauce on bread.

The pepperoni is my favorite… but the My Way is also super yummy.
I’ve eaten in the brick and mortar and had it delivered. It definitely tastes better fresh from the oven in the store. Although, if it is late night and you’re lazy, then delivery tastes just as good.
Prices are very reasonable for portion size. I love the thin crust and crunchy crust!

I used to always come to Hoboken to get my pizza fix when I was in PB but lately I have been going other places that have more options for slices. All they ever have here is pepperoni and marghareita. Why not serve some other slices? Someone who likes pepperoni would also like pepperoni and sausage or pepperoni and green peppers. Several other people have told me the same thing and have also started getting slices from other establishments that offer more variety. Unless you want to lose all your regular customers I highly suggest offering some different kinds of slices. It’s not that hard.

I always come here and get an Italian sub & share it with my boyfriend all ingredients are fresh & I’m almost positive they bake their own bread (if they don’t, they sure have me beat!).
Recently we ordered a veggie pizza for delivery & it was delicious. Thin, crispy crust with a good amount of veggies! When you order the veggie pie, you get to choose 3 toppings. Also there is options for large or extra large.
Highly recommend this place! Staff has always been very friendly too.

Best pizza in PB, no contest. Every type of pizza they make is amazing. My favorite is the meat lovers though. I usually don’t eat the crust on pizzas, but Hoboken’s thin crust is crispy and delicious that I enjoy eating them. If you order a big pizza pie to eat with friends/​family there, it might be a bit of wait to get the pizza but it’s well worth it.

Oh yeah, that Franky pizza kills it. A new fave loaded with Alfredo, cheese, and a couple of fantastic topping like sausage and pepperoni. Been on the menu awhile and I just got around to tasting it.

Hoboken serves up the best pizza deal on garnet. Before 7pm they do 2 slices and a draft for $ 9. They pour your beer on the spot and bring the pizza right to your table.
Picnic style tables make it perfect to go with a group and separate checks is never an issue because you order and pay at the register.
The atmosphere is dope. They have a few tv’s playing the game and a forever running surf video with some epic shots. O ya, and ther’s more dollars taped to the wall then I have in my bank account. Read them if you’re bored, but not if you get offended easily.
