My husband and I finally decided to check this place out. So glad we did! We ordered meatball pizza and antipasto salad, amazing. The staff was very nice and accommodating. Also loved the décor. Probably one of my favorite pizza’s I’ve had! We will definitely be back!

I’ve been here quiet a few times and the pizza is pretty darn good! If you’re into cheesy pizza packed with flavor at an affordable price Marino’s is your best bet! I’m a pizza lover and this place is tasty and so far the best pizza I’ve had in San Diego The lasagna is really great too! The customer service is very friendly and the owners are funny and welcoming. I’d definitely suggest this to anyone who wants good food at an affordable price!

Don’t be fooled by the 4 stars it has! This place just plain sucks. The food is bland, they over price and the service sucks. The water tastes like chlorine, the soda was watered down and flat, I ordered the Baked Ziti and it was still watery from being pulled from the pot. The sauce tasted like Preggo marina sauce and it all took so long to get to the table. My girlfriend ordered the Chicken Parmesan and it tasted like it had been sitting all day and then threw some cheese on top just for fun. The garlic bread was almost half way decent if the ambiance and the décor didn’t feel like a pirate ship had a baby with a WWII veterans house and that was the offspring. So all in all, the whole restaurant sucks, we didn’t even want to pay for the food that we had eaten(but we did), left and got Panda Express.

Sorrento Italy the only pizza that I liked more. Pizza in Rome came close but Marinos was better. Long time customer Joe N PB

Outstanding service, and outstanding food. I’ve been going here since I was a little kid and it has never been a disappointment. The lasagna, eggplant parm and stuffed shells are great. Meatballs are huge and tasty. Love it, love it, love it!

This is my favorite restaurant of all time. Ya, seriously. It’s kind of a hole in the wall place. The cook is an old Italian grandmother and the staff are her children. My family is Italian and I’ve been spoiled with amazing Italian food my whole life. This place… sad to say beats my families cooking all day. It’s amazing. If you don’t try it you’re seriously missing out. I moved out of the area and still drive an hour out of my way to have this ladies cooking again. I seriously wish she could adopt me just so I could eat her food all the time.

I absolutely love this place! 5 star food, 5 star service, 5 star atmosphere, it’s perfect across the board. I’ve tried numerous dishes, I’ve never been let down here, not in any way. Go eat!

Easy to understand why Marino’s has been a Pacific Beach fixture — the food is delicious and timeless Italian. Their minestrone soup is light and tasty. I had the stuffed shells and would have them again in a heartbeat. The chicken Parmesan and their lasagna are wonderful as well. Their staff is friendly. The only problem here is lack of parking. Will definitely be back!

Ordered pasta and that was good. Pizza always has white onions in their pizza.(I hate onions) I probably wouldn’t order pizza from there again because of that. Service was good, polite server and best part of the place was the décor. It’s like a throwback to the 60’s. Lots to see in there.

My roommates and I drove by this place a few times and decided it would be a hidden gem. Finally I tried it, and it lived up to the name. Best pizza in San Diego!

I grew up in Chicago so I think I know good pizza. Marino’s has good pizza. Order it double sauce, extra cheese, double ingredients and get it well done, almost burnt. You can’t go wrong, I promise.

Best pizza in Pacific Beach. If your looking for a great spot for a late lunch or dinner you need to come here. Mellow & classic pizza spot.

My family has been coming to Marino’s for decades. You can’t find better, more authentic Italian food than at Marino’s! My favorite is their spaghetti, it’s simple and perfectly hits the spot. A family favorite is their tuna and onion pie :). The décor and ambiance is pretty awesome, too. All the staff is friendly and accommodating. I miss the blind piano player who used to entertain guests while they ate. It’s definitely one of the best kept secrets of Pacific Beach!

Such a great spot! Supper friendly atmosphere, cheap, and so delicious! By far the best Italian food in PB. The lasagna is amazing and you can always order pizzas for take out. I will defiantly be coming back here plenty of times. Loved it!

I have been driving past this place for 30 years, so I finally stopped for dinner. What a mistake! The spaghetti was cold. The chicken parm was burned on the sides and raw in the middle. Everything was bland. Never again!

This is our favorite/default Friday night date spot. The ambiance is great. Chicken Parmesan /spaghetti dinner + Lasanga with a side of meatballs. Their sauce is consistently amazing. We’re not a fan of the wine selection — but that is easily remedied by bringing our favorite bottle from home.

Came for dinner. We live so close and we passed by to this restaurant so many times but we never had the chance to check it out. We received a warm welcome from the server as soon as we enter the restaurant. He was very friendly. My husband ordered chicken a la Parmesan and I had the spaghetti with meat sauce. It also comes with soup and salad. The salad was fresh. Soup was good. We truly enjoyed the chicken a la Parmesan. The pasta was good and the sauce will be better if they add basil. Overall we enjoyed our meal. We will definitely come back to try their eggplant Parmesan. The server gave us free sample of eggplant Parmesan and it’s delicious!

So, I returned 2 years later(gosh it’s been that long??) and had a WONDERFUL experience. I have 2 boys, ages 2&4. I’m often reluctant to take them out to eat because they are difficult to keep calm in a restaurant. Mark, our server/son of the owner, was SOINCREDIBLYKIND, PATIENT and just AWESOME! He was non-judgmental about my 2 crazy kids and in fact, was a huge help in entertaining them! Mark– YOURULE! You are hands down, the BEST, MOSTPLEASANT server in San Diego. You have great energy about you! We had the pleasure of meeting Sue, his mom, who was so very sweet as well. Thanks for the cookies, Sue! What a delightful family:) I was especially impressed when Mark told me this has been a family owned business from the beginning(1954 or 1964? I forget)… Either way, it’s a long time to maintain a restaurant. Super impressive and a sign of talent, love and expertise! Food is great! The pizza is pure heaven! There is no better pizza around. We got a half pepperoni mushroom and half meatball pizza. YUMYUMYUM!!! Thank you, Mark and Sue and family for making our dining experience so enjoyable. Big hugs to you all!
