I personally like the chicken burrito even after all the legit Mexican joints in San Diego.

As flight crew, I generally feel pretty unenthusiastic about chains and airport chains at that. I do however love this one-they serve full menu even in the morning, they’re relatively quick, there’s rarely a line and the employees are always very nice. Win win win!

So we were flying out on a 5h flight to the other coast, and needed a fast meal. «Ooh!» A friend of mine shouts. «A Baja Fresh!» Pretty simple, right? Wrong. We(in a rush) waited ~3 minutes, watching a guy and girl chit chat in the back while making somebody elses burritos. It might not sound like a long time, but when you are in a rush, standing around for ~3 minutes stinks. So we got our burritos, and started munching down to catch the plane. This is not as good as your usual Baja Fresh locations, the burritos were sloppy, and the salsa bar was a mess, but it was edible. The price was typical. Meh, I’ve experienced better, but you can’t expect much from airport food.

Another one of my regular stops at the San Diego Airport. I usually get the Chicken Baja Burrito. It’s filling but the experience is not like a regular Baja Fresh. The menu is much smaller than the regular restaurant. It shares a seating area with McDonalds and the other food court restaurants. It can get busy at times and I don’t recommend it if you’re in a rush. It’s one of the better options in this airport. Return Factor — 70%

Its airport food so you have to expect higher prices. But I actually like baja fresh so it is what it is. They don’t have the full menu as a stand alone store but they have enough for terminal 1.
