I called, a little apprehensive just because it was one of those times when I just had to «google around» for a decision and relied solely on a small line in tripadvisor to go with Bob. Bob was old school, friendly, direct and speaks with brevity, no more no less, lets do business just trust me, i’ll send someone there vibe. I started to warm up to this familiar but slightly anxious inside situation i’ve gotten myself into and just let it slide. Its one of those either it will happen, someone will show, or nothing will moment and I enjoy this anticipation secretly sometimes its strange in a world of overly done staffing structures, annoying web emails and reminders and too many questions and surveys.
Fast forward 3 weeks later, without much formal web reminders, phone calls etcetc, Vance the driver shows up at LAX to pick up my parents dressed formally, on time, had waited on them for quite a while to get out, courteous, with an immaculately clean sedan complete with halloween decorations which scared the hell of out my asian parents (but which was perfectly fun looking back), and an attitude and manner so impressive that my parents thought that this would be the norm for all drivers in los angeles (turns out they found the latter with yellow cab rogues lol trying to get around on their own)
Their charges were competitive, service immaculate, and they met and exceeded my expectations. My parents arrived rested and happy
