Found a beautiful, all wood bedroom set online. Of course I couldn’t find anything in a store that I liked as well, so I pulled the trigger and ordered it. To make this ten week story short, two pieces arrived damaged, and I have been trying to either get new furniture delivered or be compensated for the damage. Here’s the kicker — they are going to just donate this damaged furniture to a local charity — not take it back. When they told me that, I said why don’t you just give me a discount, and then none of us have to hassle with new furniture. They agreed, asked me to make them an offer. They told me my offer sounded reasonable — just had to check with the boss. That was two weeks ago. No response since. I finally had to put a dispute on my credit card to get them talking to me again. Now they are waiting for my new furniture so they can inspect it again. I asked what happened to settling it with a discount. «Your offer is unreasonable.» So now apparently I get to deal with moving more furniture and dealing with deliveries around the holidays. Super!

I placed an order for a Modus Furniture Lucca Storage Bed, but within 2 hours, my boyfriend found a similar and less expensive option and I immediately proceeded to cancel the order placed with Bedroom By Direct via email and phone. I did not receive a response until the following morning, 18 hours after I had tried cancelling, from the owner to tell me that«This order already processed at modus furniture. It cannot be stopped. Once order submitted we have less than 3 hours depending on time of day and day of week.» Let me note that, I had called to cancel in less than 3 hours. The company shipping policy, which is available on their website, states«You will receive an email from us within 24 hours of placing your order with an estimated lead time of when the item will leave our warehouse.» I did not receive the email at all, nevermind 24 hours of placing the order. The owner insisted he could not cancel the order because it had already shipped. If he had actually gotten back to me quicker instead of waiting almost a whole day the order probably wouldn’t have shipped. Suggestion: steer clear, the incompetence seems to run rampant within this company.

I called for just a box spring. Mark answered and was GREAT! I ended up calling 3 times(I was a high maintenance girl today) and he was super patient and nice! Delivered in the timeframe he gave and I can sleep well, now!!! Highly recommended.
