One of the best sandwich shops in San Diego and the owners, Michael and Dina are so kind and make you feel like family. A great variety of sandwiches and served with pretty big portions. I am definitely full after eating an entire sandwich! If you are ever in the South Bay, I definitely recommend coming here for some good eating!

I can give this place a six star if i could. Super friendly shop, got greeted by every single staff working that day. They definitely treat you like they have know you for years and it was my first visit and definable not my last. They were busy and found the time to have a small chit chat with every client and still brought out food in a timely manner without getting the feeling they were rushing on your food. Sandwiches are reasonable for what you get for the price. Give this place a try they surely deserve your business.

Located in a little commercial like building near the exit of Beyer blvd. This little deli shop has already impressed me with so much parking. As I walked in there was nice lady greeting me and allowed me to look at the menu. Had alot of selections, but I had to choose the chicken club. As I decided to make my order the well mannered lady asked me about my day and had a little conversation. I appreciated the thought and she knows how to connect with her guests! the venue has nice basic seating and several pictures of community events that the business supported. It is an area that is quiet and allows for people to have lunch in peace, especially away from work. however I’m not sure if they have a restroom in here. Another great service they have here is catering! overall, a great experience here and highly recommend this location to anyone who wants to have a quality sandwich.

Best sandwich in town and the service is even better! This is a small family run«mom and pop» sandwich shop and I love going here. The owners are Michael & Dina and they always greet me with a warm smile and friendly greeting. They not only make the best sandwiches but they also make you feel important, like a member of their family. This isn’t just a business for them because they go out of their way to make new friends every chance they get. If you haven’t tried the New Yorker then you need to treat yourself and give it a try. It’s my favorite and you won’t be dissapointed.

Finding a good deli in Chula Vista is limited and difficult. I found Beyer Deli by the number of reviews and rating. Beyer didn’t disappoint at all. The prices are spot on for the amount good you receive. Every review talks about either the manhandler or new Yorker. I chose the manhandler and it was amazing!!! The combo of pastrami, coleslaw, bacon and thousand island dressing had me locked from the first bite. I’m most definitely going to make many more trips to Beyer!!!

This place is by far my favorite spot to grab a sandwich(especially the Hot & Delicious)! The owners here are always welcoming. All of their other sandwiches are just as tasty. This place deserves the 5 stars!!!

Anytime we are south of San Diego my wife and I return to Beyer Deli for another wonderful experience and meal. Last Friday morning we dropped in just before 11am… after the breakfast crowd but before the lunchtime customers. We were interested in their breakfast burrito but noted the menu stated breakfast was until 10:30am. We asked if we could still order a breakfast burrito and the staff member enthusiastically replied, «Yes you may!». So we ordered one breakfast burrito cut in half that we would eat there, and also one Raging Bull sandwich cut in half to take home. The day became a memorable experience when we chatted with the lady at the counter, Dina. Turns out Dina and husband Mike own Beyer Deli and operate it themselves. In 2001 they spotted three vacant and adjacent spaces in this office park. Mike and Dina converted these spaces into Beyer Deli and have since been in continuous operation, Monday through Friday. I’m genuinely touched when I see such nice people! Mike and Dina know names of their customers and greet everyone warmly. When we entered for this meal we hadn’t met Dina but she recalled us from prior visits and asked if we desired our favorite sandwich, the Raging Bull. How impressive, tens of thousands of customers through the years and Dina knows us from a couple of visits! So Unilocalers find an excuse to head South, meet Mike and Dina, and enjoy wonderful food in a very welcoming setting!

If you like sandwiches then this is the place to go. Best sandwiches in the area by far and I have searched. Not much to say since it is just really good and prices correctly. The staff also seems very friendly so win win.

Amazing Ruben sandwich best one is south California :) On a hot October day my boyfriend and I discovered this mom and pop sandwich shop«Beyer deli» and feel in love. The atmosphere is amazing and the food is beyond words. The owners are very attentive and very courteous of the customers. I love it here hopefully I don’t have to skip class in order to catch a great sandwich :)

The best sandwiches. Period. We found this place last year and based on the five star Unilocal reviews, we decided to give it a shot. So glad we did! Wish we knew about it sooner! This place not only makes delicious sandwiches, but they also provide excellent customer service. Every time we have been here, the owners always go out of their way to say hello and ask how we’re doing. We’re not even what I consider regulars, so that says a lot. We’ve never waited long at all either. Anyone who has complained about the wait or service, must have been experiencing an off day for sure. Now on to the food! I love love love their HOTANDDELICIOUSSANDWICH!!! Turkey, bacon, provolone, and avocado PILEDHIGH on a warm torta! If you love avocado like I do, then this is the absolute perfect sandwich for you. I have ordered it with turkey & pastrami and WOW. When visiting Beyer deli, the hot and delicious is the sandwich to try, if you can’t already tell by the pictures ;) It definitely sucks that they close at 3 M-F and are not open on the weekends! But that doesn’t knock off any stars for me.

Thought we would give this place a try today after seeing all the good reviews, and we were not dissapointed! The sandwhich was so fresh and delicious but honestly the best part was the service. That kind of genuine customer service is very hard to come by. We will definitely be back!

I love this deli shop. Come hungry because their sandwiches are humongous. One specialty sandwich is all ready good for two people. I love how they slather the guacamole onto the sandwich(I got number 22). I suggest calling in and ordering the sandwich so that when you pick it up, it is ready to be eaten. Also, so you are not late to go back to work. Now, if only they accept credit cards and are open on weekends, that would be awesome.

I’m always in search for a great sandwich(like Joey in Friends)! If I lived in the SD area, this place would be my go to! Their sandwiches are AMAZING! They have an assortment of hot and cold sandwiches and portions are super generous! Tons of avocado/guac and meat! Mike and Dena are the owners and are super sweet, friendly, and family-oriented. They chat with all of their customers, 1st timers and regulars like they’re family. Hours are only 8am-3pm, M-F only. My favorite sandwich is their Hot & Delicious(hot sandwich consisting of turkey, bacon, lots of avocado, mayo, melted provolone cheese on a hot torta roll). It’s HUGE! You can eat half and save half for later, but it’s so good that I devour the entire thing! All of this for about $ 7. Great food, AMAZING service, great prices! Highly recommended!

Most laid down, and friendliest place on earth. And gotta tell you; it’s not fake customer service for extra tip, or just because they have to from their boss. Mike was just the best, like a friend! This locally owned place has one of the most delicious sandwiches. You can eat ‘em there, or get them to go. Building them is my favorite way of ordering, and they are indeed very patient. Whenever I’m in the area, I will hit this spot!

Finally got to try this today for lunch after I had been meaning to for a while. It’s unfortunate that this place is only open until 3PM M-F, otherwise I’d be here more often. Small place with about 10 tables, with friendly and courteous upfront service. The prices are great, $ 7.26 after tax for a delicious New Yorker sandwich brimming with ingredients and a great balanced flavor. I am typically a burger guy over sandwiches, but I’ll definitely be coming back here to try out more sandwiches.

Officially the best sandwiches on the west coast! Stop going to your lame chain spots getting whack paninis or your coffee shop with their dainty sandwiches and come down here and experience a real sandwich. San Diego is depraved from decent sandwiches. Only a couple others in this town are some what respectable. It’s a simple formula. Caring hard working staff + superb quality ingredients + respectable portions + perfect ingredient balance + presentation = the best sandwiches and sandwich shop in San Diego. Got a half pastrami and a half of corned beef accompanied with a couple giant quartered dill pickles. Pickles on the side are super important! Got the sour dough bread an rye bread. They were huge thick slices toasted perfectly and tasted like they just came out of the oven. Both the pastrami and corned beef were solid portions and done just so right. Here’s where the quality of meats will slap you dead in the face. Perfect temperature with the cheese perfectly melted over them like it was a photoshoot for a commercial. The reason these are so incredible is because they push big, but don’t over do it. Presentation and those pickles are pure magic. Real talk, they’re the best around.

Holy greatest deli sandwiches ever, Batman! Sometimes I make my own sandwiches. Sometimes I go to my local grocer or deli for a sandwich. Sometimes I’m running errands 25 miles outside of my typical radius and decide to meet up with a friend at Beyer Deli for a sandwich. Of course, as fate would have it, that’s the instance that changes my opinion on deli sandwiches. I ordered the«New Yorker». Pastrami, corned beef, cheese, a Torta bun, I had them throw on some bacon because, well. bacon! Anyway, the moment it hit the table, the moment I smelled it and the moment I sank my teeth into it, that was it. I knew I was in love… with a sandwich. The sandwich was massive, a real man’s sandwich. The Torta bun was not too dry and not too moist. It was fresh, it was perfect. The meat was warm, juicy and flavorful. It was perfect. Whatever the meat was dripping with, the juices, whatever they put in there to give it the flavor… I don’t know what it was. Hell, I don’t want to know. It could be Soylent Green, I don’t care. It was just that good. The sandwich was pretty massive and despite it being probably more than the average human would care to consume, I would have gladly had another just for a second round of blissful enjoyment. I almost ate the half that my friend didn’t finish… almost. Hindsight being 20/20, I totally should have. It all comes with a price, the place is cash only so be prepared. It’s worth it. It’s 25 miles from where I live and it’s still worth it. Luckily I had cash so no biggie. The people here are totally cool too so there’s always that. If this place was down the street I’d be here very frequently. Luckily for my friend, it’s down the street from him and if I have a craving, I’ll just call him and he’ll gladly eat one for me. My palate for deli sandwiches has been ruined, I doubt my cravings for deli sandwiches will ever be satisfied unless I go here. I don’t know, people… they just make fine sandwiches. I want another already.

I’ve been wanting to try this place for quite some time, and I was very pleased with the results of my visit, to say the least. I ordered the«New Yorker» which normally comes on a Torta Bun, but I had them make on toasted rye bread to give it the full of affect. I made it a combo with chips and some refreshing iced tea( ). The sandwich was absolutely blissful because it came loaded with pastrami and corned beef, and when I say loaded, I mean these people know how to make a proper New York deli sandwich( ). The deli meats were tender, juicy, and most importantly packed with great flavor. I believe they use Dietz and Watson deli meats and cheeses. In addition to deli meats being great, the provolone was a good nutty partially melted slice, the lettuce and tomatoes were fresh, and they spread just enough mustard and mayo to make it enjoyable( ). The rye was lightly toasted which came the sandwich that nice crunch. The service here is very friendly and they are more then willing to please. They cater to a lot of locals, in fact while I was there, there were at least half dozen Chula Vista Police having lunch. They offer some comfortable seating inside and an outside patio. This is a cash only place. Go for it Peeps, this place is muy bueno…
