I’ve had this place bookmarked for a while, but never got around to giving it a shot. Today was the day. I ordered a small lobster roll(because why would I come here and not try that?) as well as a small Northender. $ 13.50 for a small sandwich is slightly scary, but I knew that lobster wasn’t going to be cheap. I have to say, it was freaking fabulous. The bread had this buttered crunch to it that was so tasty. The sandwich was bursting with lobster goodness. I was really pissed at myself for not spending the $ 17 and getting the large. I probably could have eaten four smalls, but I’m a bit of an over eater and anything that delicious makes me never want to stop. The Northender was pretty unimpressive and underwhelming. I ate half today and saved the other half for tomorrow. It had no ummph to it. It was just a few slices of meat, a skinny slice of cheese, and freezing tomatoes and red peppers. It didn’t have any flavor, nor did it stand out in any way. I was expecting more of that sandwich. I’m not sure if you can add anything to the sandwich because the person never asked me. So I made an assumption that you eat it how they make it. Here’s a piece of advice from someone who never skimps on food. Do yourself a favor and get the large lobstah roll. It will cost you a few bucks, but you’ll be thanking me afterwards!

Cute little quaint spot. The Lobster roll is really good but the macaroni salad I just picked up is spoiled! Good thing u smelled it or I would have had a really bad day. The chowder is delicious too. It would be nice if crackers were included but otherwise excellent. The parking lot is kind of small but plenty of space. I really wish the macaroni wasn’t spoiled now I am really turned off of trying it again. I definitely should have went with the potatoes! :(overall the drive is a bit far but I would go back for chowder and lobster… Update– unfortunately feeling super sick not too sure if it is from the roll or soup but definitely glad I didn’t eat the macaroni too which was what ended up being spoiled.

I have mixed emotions about this place. Love the lobster rolls and the New England Clam chowder but the help… there is something lacking there. I know they are doing their best but, I feel there is a lot of disorganization behind the counter. Yesterday I went in and there was a semi-long line. I realize I’m going to have to wait and put my patience cap on. I waited. And waited. And waited. I watched behind the counter as they ran out of magnets to put everyone’s order up to be prepared. I watched as a couple of the papers with the orders curled up and wondered if they would ever get the proper attention or if they were just going to blow away with the wind. As I waited my patience grew a bit thin… ESPECIALLY when I saw people who were behind me get their order before me. OBVIOUSLY their system is broken. And I TRULY need to question why there were only 3 people working there at high noon? This is a work weekday!!! When I asked why everyone else was getting their orders before me, I saw them searching the papers and somehow my order got stuck in the middle of people who came after me. The cashier made sure my order was up next but I unfortunately had to wait… once again. Today. 11:30. Only two people working there but no line whatsoever. Super. I order the Vermont Veggie Wrap, which, as stated on their wall, includes cheddar(Vermont is known for their cheddar cheese!!), provolone, tomato, roasted peppers, lettuce, cucumbers, onions and pickles with onion dressing. I was asked what cheese I wanted. I pointed out that the menu states it comes with cheddar and provolone. The cashier then asks me what kind of dressing I want because they are out of the onion dressing and offers me either a Cesar or a balsamic vinaigrette. I’m bummed but I go along with his suggestion and choose the balsamic. As I’m sitting waiting for my wrap, the sandwich preparer comes out and asks what kind of dressing I want on it because, «we no longer have the onion dressing.» Two things here. The cashier failed to tell her my choice and the 2nd… if you no longer carry this dressing, why is it advertised on the wall that you do? So, I bring my wrap home. Where do I begin? I’m STILL searching for the cheese because there was no cheese on there whatsoever. And the dressing. You might have told me that I was eating a veggie wrap soup. No way should there EVER be that much dressing on a wrap! SOGGY. This thing was messy and dripped down my hand. Highly disappointing. I don’t know whom to blame here but I would suggest that management possibly check on their staff and provide some structure and better organization. Stick to the lobster rolls and New England Clam Chowda.

The lobster roll does not disappoint! The 6″ is packed with lobster meat; however, can still be quickly devoured in 4 bites. We got a 12″ sub, 6″ lobster role and the container of clam chowder — enough for two portions. Although our lunch was seafood-heavy, so was the price. I believe the total came out to $ 36. 4 stars for the taste, 3 stars for the price.

Got the large lobster roll. It came to $ 18.50 I believe with tax. I was expecting a lot more for the money. Literally 6 bites and it was gone. So over $ 3/bite. The sandwich itself was pretty bland. I know times are tough economically, but salt does not cost that much.

So good. Lobstah roll was wicked good. The clam chowda was wicked good too! They have wise potata chips too! I like all the jerseys and college banners from the Boston area. This place definitely has the back home in New England feel to it.

Came here for lunch, and decided to get the small Lobster Roll and a small cup of Clam Chowder. The small Lobster Roll was around $ 11, and it’s quite a bit smaller than the large one which is $ 4 dollars more. SHOULDHAVEGOTTENTHELARGEONE. It would’ve been worth it because the lobster was really fresh, and I loved the buttery bread. YUM! I loved the Clam Chowder as well! I have always been a big fan of clam chowders, and I love how theirs is very creamy, lots of potatoes, and fresh chunks of clams. It was delicious and very filling. They also have a good selection of other sandwiches, and soups. Probably can’t come too often since it’s around $ 20 for a meal… but they do have their reasons. I DO need to come back and try their lobster bisque!

Ordered the large Lobster Roll and an 8oz cup of Clam Chowder. The lobster roll came out on buttery crisp bread, very light and fluffy. Lots of large pieces of fresh lobster meat. There was a ~$ 4 difference between the small and large roll. My friend got the small and between comparing portions, it seems like the upgrade to large is totally worth it. The Clam Chowder came out filled to the brim at a good serving temperature. Filling, thick, and homey, reminded me of chowder I had in Seattle. Lots of fresh chunks of clam. It was a good complement to the lobster roll. They also had a lobster bisque that piqued my interest, will be trying that next time I come back! Overall great food. A little expensive, spent $ 20 for the meal, but great value since the amount of seafood was generous and the food was quality.

I have been here twice now and they do not disappoint. Each sandwich is amazing, the lobster bisque is to die for and the staff is super. Friendly. I very rarely give 5 stars but this place deserves it for sure! If you are in the area please come here… you will not be sorry.

This little sandwich place is filled with jerseys and memorabilia from the east coast. It’s a small place with about 5 tables. Located in the same plaza with sprouts, labcorp, and goodwill. They have daily specials, so don’t forget to ask what it is for that day! I usually go for their Monday Lobster Roll special, which gets you 2 rolls a little larger than an iPhone 5 for $ 12.95(dollar increase from last year). A great little appetizer. Their lobster rolls are decent… Bread is always warm and crispy. The innards(lobster) is not consistent. One time it was dry and another time it was bland. I also got less lobster the first time I went compared to the second time. I’ve also had the fried plates and they are not worth the amount you pay for and get, but if you do want to try it, might as well go big or go home — get the«All-of-the-Above» which includes fried fish, scallops, shrimp, and clams with a side of crinkled fries and coleslaw. But the overall quality of the fried plates aren’t good at all. So if I were to recommend this place to a friend, it would be to just try their sandwiches and soups!

Oh how I wish the Govenor BOB would take tips from this one. This one is so clean. The manager Rowana takes such pride in her location. She’s friendly and helpful. The lobster roll was delicious! Tasted fresh and was full of lobster meat. The fried clams were also delicious! The staff looks like they really like to work there. She’s restored my faith for BOBs. Too bad the Governor spot is such a train wreck. Hope the owners work on that one or I bet it’ll close.

came here on labor day. The place wasn’t crowded but it was full. I really miss Boston. So, we decided to come here for my Boston fix. We ordered the lobstahhh roll. It was smaller than I expected. Maybe I’m just spoiled from the lobster rolls from being in MA. The service is great! The ambiance has all the MA/New England pro teams and schools banners.

My first time grubbin’ at Bite of Boston and it was overall a good experience. Hubby and I ordered both the large Lobster Roll and the Philly cheese steak sandwich. Point definitely goes to the cheese steak, which was hot with lots of steak and melty cheese, on a flaky roll. The Lobster Roll was on the small and pricier side, which I was aware of from reading the reviews, so we weren’t taken by surprise. I did like the toasted, buttery bread but I guess I was underwhelmed with the roll as a whole(that rhymes!). The lobster is served cold with some celery bits and dressing and I was just expecting more, but that’s just me. We’ll be back to try other sandwiches and their soups. They have a couple of patio tables right outside the front door, which is nice if you want to sit in the fresh air, or if you happen to have your furbaby with you.

After a poor experience looking for decent sea food a few days ago(Off The Hook Seafood), I have been dying to get back to BOB! Today for lunch I had the small lobster roll(at a reduced price on Mondays) and an order of lobster bisque. MmmMmmMmm and Mmmmm… The roll was slightly toasted with butter, lobster filling with no mayo and a couple pieces of celery… perfect!!! The bisque, although I ordered a small, had ample chunks of lobster in it AND sherry(IDK why anyone would serve lobster bisque ANY other way… Thank you BOB!

I live so close by and I didn’t even know there were such good lobster rolls around! It’s a little shop in the Sprouts shopping mall next to Einstein bagels. The bread on the lobster roll was buttery and crisp and they gave a very generous amount of lobster!

I’m not sure what I like more: their lobster bisque or there lobster roll. Both are incredible and what I’ve returned for again and again. This little unassuming shop is home to tasty subs and a variety of sandwiches and deep fried seafood fare. Their lobster roll is stuffed full of delicious lobster tail meet and served on a butter grilled roll. Shiver… so decadently delicious. The lobster bisque is thick, rich and full of lobster chunks. I’m a fan! We also tried their All of the Above platter which is a collage of deep fried seafood. My heart begged me to stop but my tummy said«keep it coming woman!» The icing on the cake is that they sell TastyCakes to boot! Oh my. Get your Boston fix here!

Our friends kept raving about this place and so, on a day off my partner and I ventured to take a Bite out of Boston. First of all, I was highly entertained by the adorable lobster icon they have right before their name. We ordered two lobster rolls since the large was not going to be enough for the both of us. Its about a 6″ length piece of bread however it is not thick which is fine for me because I’m not there for the bread, I’m there for the lobster! They do butter and lightly toast the bread to give it a crispy buttery taste and then they stuff it with lobster galore. Nice big chunks from both the tail and the claws. The lobster had a fresh sweet taste and flaky. It wasn’t rubbery or chewy at all which satisfied my lobster palette. We also went for a cup of the Awesome Lobster Bisque with Sherry and the clam chowder. The first bite my partner took of the clam chowder, he looks up at me and says«you’re going to have soup envy.» and boy did I! The lobster bisque was just as good but that clam chowder had something in it that I could not pinpoint. It was like a potato starchy goodness with a savory flavor of clam. Oh to have that in a SF sourdough breadbowl… than then it wouldn’t be Boston like would it?
