Megan is a miracle worker. I went in there with fried hair & a horrid color job from another salon. Megan knew just what to do to fix it & in just a short time I was leaving with the healthiest most beautiful hair I’ve ever had. I’m so grateful to her for helping me to love my hair again. She’s was also very hospitable. Making sure I was always comfy. She is super sweet & has great energy. She’s extremely talented & puts care into her work. I highly recommend her.

Gwendolyn is THE BEST hands down! I’ve been going to Gwendolyn for almost 10 years (wow, I can’t believe it’s been that long) even before Blank Slate was born.
Her studio is super cute (next to Culture Shock), the bathroom has a «zen» like feel, and the studio feels just like a Studio, not a salon.
Because I have «islander hair» my hair can’t handle the humidity that San Diego sometimes brings and I always know that Gwendolyn will thin it out and add on layers in the perfect places to not only help my hair during those humid days, but to ensure that the cut accentuates my face :)
There are not that many people that I trust with my hair, and I’m happy to say that I heart Gwendolyn and will continue to see her for as long long as she’s able to cut hair!

Creative? check! Artistic? Check! Very in tune with the chic and fashionable? Check! Owner, operator, Gwen? Priceless!!! Seriously. Shes as good as it gets. This is a venue for all your creative passions as the space truly is a blank canvas as well as a superb salon for hair. On a personal level I trust no one else with my fragile, naturally blond hair and Gwen makes me feel beautiful every time I leave. If you haven’t checked it out, you need to.
