Bartenders were great! Live music and chill atmosphere; made my Guinness, that much enjoyable. Awesome location too.

On one adventures night in downtown Blarney Stone was stop three I think. Honestly, it’s a strong two and a half stars. It’s more of a place to grab a beer, and see downtown unfold right in front of you. They have patio seating as well as real close seating that’s at the bar, but still a view. Not so up to date or up keep if you know what I mean, but hey you can’t knock the prices compared to other bars. I did notice a stage in the far back, and was told they have karaōke and live bands. What can I say the service was good, and I just wanted a beer!

4 stars for the Black and Tans, along with ordering off the Thai menu from the Thai restaurant next door(they share the kitchen), while watching postseason baseball at the bar. The combination of those 3 got me to return the next night!

Really wanted to like this place but I ordered a lemon drop that tasted like water. They must water down their liquor bottles because my mom’s margarita also lacked alcohol. Do not come here if you want quality drinks.

Great food and great service. Will definitely be back. Had a really good quality burger and beer was really good too. Sports shown on all the tvs and will change at any request. Also offer a great Thai menu.

If I could give a negative star I would. Took our waitress 35 minutes to get us 2 beers. Then when I went to the bathroom there was no toilet paper and the toilet and sink were overflowing. I am not exaggerating I literally had to plunge the toilet myself in order to use it. It must happen often because there was a plunger right next to it. Make sure to walk by this place if you are ever in the area, absolute waste of time.

These guys took care of me and every other customer today! This is the best chill bar downtown! $ 4 wells and bud lights??? Where else can find that in the middle of the Gaslamp with amazing service? My new favorite! I hate the crowds of Gaslamp, but I love hanging out there, this is my spot!

we came here with our friends after having dinner a couple of blocks away. they wanted the irish pub feel, so a bar entitled«blarney stone» with the irish flag waving proudly was perfect for the occasion. my friends ordered a round of beers, i had my ice water since i was the designated driver, and we sat and chatted for an hour or so. i must say, this place got PACKED between 10−11pm! the crowd was mostly young men and women in their 20s, so we(who were all pushing 40 if not over 40) felt a bit out of place. we sat outside on their gated patio area as it was a warm night and it allowed us to chat and people watch at the same time. pretty average bar with average prices but VERY loud music.

I came here because it wasn’t even noon yet and I was looking for place to relax. I didn’t want anything fancy so I just ordered a Bud Light, but they had a full bar of just about any drink you could ask for and plenty of other(better) beers on tap. They especially had plenty of Irish whiskeys. The staff was super friendly and attentive. I ran into trouble with the food though. I ordered a rueben and let me tell you, it was the worst Reuben I’ve ever had. Honestly, Arby’s makes a better reuben. How can an Irish pub have bad corned beef? So, if you’re looking for a good drink in a comfortable place this is your spot, but I wouldn’t recommend the food.

In Spanish, this place should be called«Fiesta del Salchicha.» Seriously, look it up on Google translate if you don’t get the joke. Not a delightful San Diegan female to be seen in this quaint albeit decidedly uncomfortable«Irish» pub. On our recent visit, the place was filled with about 30 guys in Lou Dobbs and Chris Mathews-looking dress shirts and ties, all drinking Guinesses like they were the last pour from the keg. Their corpulent girth made passage around the bar nearly impossible. I finally stepped on one of their Johnston & Murphy Men’s Stratton Woven Tassel shoes to get his attention, and spilled a little beer on his cuff. «Apologies, Guv’nah! Part the way, worthy adversary!» We were pub crawling, so we didn’t linger… I don’t know that I’m in a big hurry to put this one back on the Gaslamp rotation.

Hip hop music &ESPN on every television in an Irish pub that doesn’t have any Irish drinks other than Guiness and Jameson? No thank you. Not my scene. The men’s room had an inch of pee on the floor, and I was dying to get out of there. I’ll never step in this place again!

Not sure why there is so many bad reviews. We had cheap drinks and great service. What more could you ask for? Thanks Sean!

Not much going on here… kind of dirty inside. I would recommend a remodel. Food is pub food. Corn beef and cabbage was ok. I would like it a bit more friendly to watch big games at; not suitable for this or a big crowd.

Memories may be beautiful and yet What’s too painful to remember we simply choose to forget So it’s the laughter we will remember Whenever we remember the way we were. Barbara Streisand — The Way We Were Place gave me flash backs of those dark days before I learned to cook and mom wasn’t around. Use to buy frozen fish sticks from Safeway and bake them in the oven. The fried fish here is much the same. Most of what I taste is salty beer batter. Batter isn’t bad. Fish has that dry chewy texture and flavor you get from leaving meat in the freezer too long. The french fries were ok. Standard fast food type fry. Crunchy with good potato flavor. Slight oil aftertaste. Oil probably needs to be changed pretty soon. Orange slice was too tangy for my taste. I’m guessing it wasn’t quiet ripe… Slice of watermelon was fresh and sweet. Happy hour is long but the only beer that is discounted is Bud Lite. Best part of the experience was it was easy to get seated on a Saturday evening, relax, and people watch. The places I like around around here were all packed.

Went here on a Saturday night. We were explained to that its a Padres bar, so it was to get packed when the baseball game got out later that night. We stayed for snake bite beers and karaōke! We had so much fun here! I also liked that it’s located at the beginning of the Gaslamp district so yu can sit outside and watch all of the people as they kick off their Saturday nights. Lots of people watching, that’s for sure!

5 stars for trying to change things up and offer something most bars do not, which was an open mic comedy night. From my understanding, it’s a regular thing held every Tuesday night. Guiness on tap and supporting the local«talent». Will definitely be back one of these Tuesday’s to catch a couple comedians«entertaining».

No problem. I’m baffled. Why don’t people rate this place well? First, the bartender was super helpful. Plus, he had to come out from behind the bar and walk all the way around to serve us. Second, the Thai place next-door will bring food over. Yeah, that’s right. Irish peer and Thai food– it’s like a cultural explosion in your mouth. Joking aside, we didn’t order Thai, we ordered fries, which were good. The drinks were a fair poor and the price was totally reasonable. The vibe inside is pub-ish, which you’d rather expect. Not certain what else you could ask for…

great little Irish pub that maintains its charm compared to all the loud and trendy bars that surround it. seats get taken up quickly, especially the outdoor seating. nevertheless, the bartenders and staff are friendly that you’ll want to keep coming back for their hospitality. though the bar has a low rating on Unilocal,i’d highly recommend the spot if you’re looking for a place to enjoy a few brews with some friends and have some good conversations with the staff. there are even a few celebs that frequent this place during SDCC, though i won’t say who since i want to respect their privacy and to also horde her for myself! during SDCC, our friends had two Irish waitresses who were superb and took care of us. plus, that Irish accent was reason enough for me to tip generously… i think that accent is my new Achilles’ heel to my heart. le swoon. definitely would come back again during SDCC next year in hopes to see more cute Irish waitresses, some celeb sightings, and to unwind after smelling all the B.O., sweat, disappointment, and sexual frustration in the air at Comic Con.
