Love this place great food great atmosphere will be back again!!! Although it is a bit pricey it was worth it because all of the food tasted great and was worth the price.

Best paneer tikka masala I’ve ever had!!! This restaurant has a nice fusion flair to all of their dishes but stays true to Indian roots. The ambiance is perfect for anything from a small dinner date to a big party to even a wedding and reception with a beautifully decorated room in the back.

We found this place through Groupon and we’re so happy we did. The ambiance at night is amazing and a surprise belly dancer even came out to perform at 7. The Garlic Naan was amazingly soft and flavorful and went great with the Tikka Masala Curry and Ginger Masala Curry. They were accompanied by basmati rice and your choice of protein(or veggies). The service was great and very helpful when ordering. It starts to get busy around 630, so make sure you make a reservation beforehand. Parking is available in a nearby structure for only $ 5. We will definitely be back to get our Indian food fix soon!

We visited Bombay for my wife’s birthday. The atmosphere was crazy — the belly dancer was so good! We all loved the food and couldn’t have been happier with its quality. The service was great too — our server Max kept us happy and sated. Couldn’t have asked for a better server to assist us. Will definitely be coming back!

I came to this place for the first time recently on a Friday evening with my girl and really like the atmosphere. There was a belly dancer there and it really gave the place a very nice touch. The food was good and not too overly priced. Everyone was very friendly and the service was great until I got my check. Somehow when there was an issue with the change I received, I seemed to not get the attention that I did when we finally got to our seat. Our waitress simply dropped off the check and walked away without verifying payment and if everything was satisfactory. When I tried to flag her down she ignored my respectful summons. So I got the attention of another waiter or the bus person to please have our waitress return to correct the issue of short change. He comes back and tells me she is busy now and so I have to explain the issue to him and now it was on him to try and correct the issue with my change. He disappears in the back and comes back after a very detailed explanation of the short change and what I was supposed to receive. The change was still short. Simple addition and subtraction was completely missing that evening from both our waitress or the bus boy. I decided not to elevate the situation to a manager and I had no choice to leave a poor tip. It may be a while before I return.

We went to Bombay for a lunch buffet over a weekend — minimal food choices for a weekend Indian buffet, tasteless food — believe me this is worst Indian food I’ve ever eaten at a restaurant, no customer service — we waited forever to get water, soda, naan and even our checks! Looks can be decieving… and this restaurant personifies that phrase. Spare yourself & go eat at one of the other good restaurants around.

I wish I could select 0 stars. The food is horrible! Just a couple of things on the buffet, and everything tasted like crap! Even frozen food from the market tastes better. Wish they had invested enough money on the cuisine vs the fancy decorations/chandeliers/waterfall. If you are an Indian who knows what good Indian food tastes like, please never ever come here to dine!

Not worth even the one star. Worst Indian food I have ever had. Very limited choices and no taste to any of the dishes. Don’t trust the fancy décor — this is not how indian food tastes. Please save yourself and go to another restaurant.

Appetizers: Coconut Shrimp & Desi Chatt Our coconut flakes were cooked enough to have a nice crisp, but definitely not burnt. The accompanying mango chutney also added a great taste. samosas for the Desi Chatt were cooked very well. They were not stale or hardened, but freshly made.

Worst service ever! Had a reservation but still waited 10 minutes to take my order. Then a 1 hour wait for the dinner. Waiter, Russian accent, think his name was Berhan, was rude and offered no explanation for the delay. Avoid this waiter and if you fine here, plan plenty of time for your meal. Food is great, but not worth the wait and bad service!

Awful service. Sat at bar and dirty dishes at the other end that stayed there the whole time we dined. Waited an hour for our food to come. Was told my food would not be spicy and it was so I couldn’t even finish my meal. Poured ourselves refill of water from a pitcher sitting on the bar. Women waitresses complaining and rude in front of costumers whole using cell phones. Nice ambience, cool water fall. Over priced, basically paying for the aesthetics. Will not return. Best Indian food can be found in hole in the wall restaurant in Mira Mesa.

Waiting 10 mins for water and 40 mins for our meals. And 10 for the check. Watching children play in the pooling water next to the fountain, with no restaurant staff or parent intervention. I so want Bombay to be like it was 10 years ago. The front door on a cold night was closed by patrons from three different tables each multiple times, and not by the staff. The food: great flavors but they got the degree of spice wrong, ugh. Food to go is the safest bet.

I am giving five stars only for my delicious food. The waiters were not at all responding to ours questions… we was waiting for our waiters to attend us for more than 15 minutes. Finally took order… we were waiting for our food more than 15 minutes and the restaurant looked super busy. It was totally worth to wait for the hot and delicious food we received. I ordered kofta curry which was absolutely delicious and my wife ordered veg jalfrizi and it was too good and I ordered one more for me. We really really enjoyed our authentic Indian food. As a food and beverage director of a country club, I could say this is one of the best places to quench your hunger. I should thank the owner for appointing such a well talented chefs. I think am already addicted to your food. I will sure come back to have the same.

Wow been sitting for 15 minutes no waitress finally took order 15 more minutes still sitting here no tea yet no Naan! Are they. Bringing it from India??? Well finally got food so not worth the wait the tandoori chicken was dry and burned! When I spoke to the manager he wanted to blame the waitress! I would never go back! There are at least 30 places to eat in that area try some other place! AFTER emailing manager I have received an apology and will try again!

I make it a point to come to Bombay as many Monday nights as possible because I love Indian buffets and this is the best of them all! Don’t take my word for it, try it yourself and you’ll be blown away!

I really like this place. The wine list is pretty extensive so you know I’m all over that. I had a delicious red wine that I cannot remember to save my life. But they are very knowledgeable so they could answer any of your questions. My entrée was very delicious as well. Also can’t remember what it was. The point was that it was good food, good wine and good service. Oh and the hummus is to die for. They have a very beautiful dancer who uses fire and a snake as props. The décor is my favorite part. They have a water fall, love the lighting and atmosphere. My friend said that their cocktails were great if that is more of your cup of tea. I recommend this place as a date or in my case with a really good friend.

I happened to visit San Diego for Thanksgiving holiday. We looked out for some Indian restaurants, we decided to take out dinner from Bombay. Day 1, we ordered Veg Biryani which was a to go order since we were late, but frankly I didnt enjoy the taste Day 2, we decided to hang out at the restaurant, the ambience is very nice and i really was looking out for some good food and enjoy the evening. Appetizers were good to start with… but main course was messed up… BAD experience. The staff didnt understand much with regards to the cuisine. So that makes me put just 1 star

Requested a fork with my online order, even called to double check that I would get one. The phone service was non-professional. No attempt to make you feel welcome, or thankful for you’re business. Long story short, no type of utensil was provided. When I called to question what happened, I got«we will check which the kitchen and call you back» No one ever called me back, not even an attempt to apologies, or make amends. Meanwhile, I payed a 7 $ delivery charge and left a 13 $ tip. I wish I knew what kind of service I would get before I ordered. At the end of the day, it is not about the lack of providing eating utensils. It’s more about the way the situation was handled. Who likes being ignored?
