Boulevard Barber Shop

$ 15 for a thorough haircut with a razor hard part at the end. Great tunes that throw you back (Michael Jackson, 80’s funk, 90’s hip hop). Chill bunch of barbers. Plus, less than a mile from SDSU.
I’ve been getting haircuts at the same salon for 2 years since they were recommended by my wife and did a decent job. Traffic, price, and availability were my biggest deterrents. Decided to take a chance on Boulevard Barber Shop and I was not disappointed.
Came in 10AM on a Saturday and was seen right away, no crazy wait like some of the other more popular shops. Told Paco what I was looking for; despite what seemed like a haircut a bit out of his comfort zone he went for it anyway and did a great job.
Two detractors — for a little while they played some music not appropriate for the kids present but that didn’t sour the overall experience. Also parking could be tough — there’s only 2 spots out front with a few spots along the street nearby.
Definitely will be back, and recommend to give them a try, especially if you’re in the area.

This is the spot! Great prices, friendly people, and they make you feel right at home. I came in my first time kind of nervous but in no time they made me feel like family. My boy Paco is like the Pacquiao of haircuts, he’ll make you look nice. It was recently my birthday and they made it one of the best days ever. Most people don’t expect a whole lot from a barbershop but whatever they expect these guys will surpass it. Good job guys, this shop deserves 6 stars imo.

I walked in today for a haircut. I was able to receive a haircut upon arriving. I had been here before but it has been over a year.
Ablle had remembered me like it was yesterday. I used to get my haircut by Scoop and Able sometimes. I’m glad to be back in SD to receive haircuts from Boulevard Barber Shop. These guys do legit work and they really care. They make you feel at home with their friendly personalities. I loved the music they played today. Also, they have the best prices around.

Very experienced barbers. Scoop always cuts my hair. He’s the only one I trust to cut my hair because I do have long hair. Very nice vibe and clean place. Treat you with respect and very funny too. Great experience every time I go there.

I left SD during the recession years came back and all my favorite barbers were gone. Took a while to find these guys, but these guys are legit!

All the guys are great in there. It’s a classy place with antique chairs but awesome current cuts…

Good clean cut, didn’t have to wait to long. Hard to find parking, but the guy did a good job and I’m happy with my cut, when a barber breaks out the straight razor I know I’m in a legit spot.

I don’t Unilocal often, but these guys are pretty awesome! I have been going there for about a year now and going elsewhere is definitely a mistake. Trust me… I have had to get my haircut elsewhere to find that out. The guys are entertaining and the haircut is ridiculously good. I am going to get one today in fact. Great hair cut. Ray definitely took a lot of pride in giving you exactly what you want. I definitely think he could give Lefty’s a run for their money without the ridiculous week waiting list.

I originally went to the Networc Barbershop and they f*cked up my hair BAD, so I drove down the street to Boulevard Barber and they fixed me up, better than my expectations. I normally go to Level One Hair Studio and Barberside (both great shops), but I didn’t feel like waiting over 30 min, so I tried out the Networc and it was the worst mistake of. my week.
ANYWAYS, I would highly recommend Abel. He gave me the best service and haircut that I could remember, so I’ve found my new barbershop!

I came in today for the first time and got my cut by Ray. Good conversation and an even better haircut.
Reminds of the barbershop I would go to as a kid. The music also made it feel more like a genuine barbershop. I’ll definitely be back.
The pricing was competitive as well.

I’m from out of town and went here yesterday for a haircut and a shave. I felt totally welcome and had a fun time there. My haircut was spot on and my straight razor shave was tight. I’m highly considering driving an hour there to get my hair cut from now on.

Boulevard Barber is the first shop that listened and cut my hair the right way! They are professional and they take time with the customer and take their work seriously. So if your looking to get a haircut, this is definitely the spot! I have to drive further now that I moved but it’s still worth it!
