The man is a professional. Very friendly, and knows what he’s doing. Haircut looks great, feels great, and the price is right. I highly recommend this place.

Went there for the first time, and the guy treated me like i’d been a regular for years. Asked about my school, family life and the whole 10 ards. Had some cool stories to talk about while giving a great hair cut. Got a simple buzz cut, but he lined it up nice and the hot shave on the back of the neck is to die for. Wish i would have found this earlier in my college years. Will definitely be going back often.

First timer there. Stan and Bob were very friendly. Bob cut my hair and is experienced. Only $ 12 for a haircut! Great value in college area, they have senior, military, ad student specials.

During another visit to beautiful San Diego my boyfriend and I went back to our favorite barber shop and saw stan and Bob. Another great haircut. See you when we come back to San Diego in our next trip again.

Found this great barber shop yesterday. Very clean and reasonable, They took my credit card and made we laugh so much. I will be back.

This is the only place of business that I have actually told people to steer away from. For a little more than $ 10 and a decent cut, Stan was cool to go to for a while. But with each passing cut I realized how terrible of a human being he is.
— On multiple occasions he made comments with serious racist undertones against black people. Implying that they are the sole demographic of house robbers, saying that he doesn’t trust them when he meets them. The first time I was taken aback but thought it was a joke or a product of a different time. Nope. He is completely 100% racist.
— The worst was when he directly stated that all Muslims in the United States are not to be trusted. My best friend is Muslim and the implication that he was trying to convert thousands of people to Islam to issue a local jihad (which means struggle you fucking dick) against the American public is unbelievable. Actual quote, «Christians and Jews don’t behead people. Muslims do. We need to get rid of them.»
— Incredibly misogynistic. His rants against his ex-​wife and getting married were a novelty, but when he objectifies women so intensely and talks about his incredibly creepy episodes oggling girls on the beach, there’s something wrong with him.
He is a hateful individual. I don’t care if he can sort of cut hair for cheap, he needs to be out of business. It’s absolutely disgraceful. If I wasn’t a poor college student I would have walked out instantly during my last hair cut. I’m still pissed off.

Stan’s a cool guy who delivers a great haircut at a great price. He’s very good at what he does. He recently added a second barber (Bob) who’s probably even better (no offense Stan). Cool place, great banter, old school in the best way.

based on the reviews, I expected more. I was in the area and gave it a shot. Got home to find the hair irregular and shorter than I had asked for. Trail and error, that’s it.

Today was my first visit to Just a Trim and I can say that it was the first of many more to come. My barber, Bob was awesome. He has been mastering his craft for a long time and even with this being my first haircut from him, he gave me exactly what I wanted. Very warm and welcoming place that I am glad I found!

I started coming here back in August of 2011 when I moved to the area for school. This barbershop is still my go-​to 3 years later. Stan is hoot and a holler, I love carrying a conversation with the guy. He is also a great barber; Stan knows exactly what I want. He charges $ 10 for a trim, and you’d think for that price he’d be throwing people out of the chair as fast as he could. However, he takes his time and all my cuts at his place have been perfect.
Stan has started to accept credit cards using a mobile credit card reader. I love this place and if you need a haircut Stan sure beats any of the national stores.

Excellent experience, excellent haircut. It is difficult finding someone who can cut a horseshoe but Stan is the man. Great horseshoe and a wonderful experience, from the conversation to the comfort.
Don’t blink on the way to the shop or you might pass it, but if you do you will be happy that you turned around. Don’t miss this place.

Based on my reviews, Stan is a pretty good barber and it’s good to carry a conversation with him and laugh. There will be certain days that he will be busy so my best advice is: get here as soon as he opens the shop or you have to decide what day to go that he won’t be busy on.

The reviews are spot on! Great quick cut, priced right, and friendly (not bothersome) conversation. If you want time something specific, I don’t know how he would do, but for a simple military-​style cut, it’s exactly what I hoped!

While waiting for my car in a nearby garage, I happened by this barber shop. Although I really wasn’t looking for a haircut, I was aware that I could use one, and since no one was in the chair I decided to stop in. It turned out to be a great experience and a great hair cut. Stan was a real nice guy, and although his shop isn’t in my neighborhood, I’ll definitely stop in next time I’m in the area. Great price and an old-​fashioned feel!

OK, responsive customer service returns Stan to original 4-​star rating. I respect someone who proactively monitors customer feedback and reaches out to connect and, if necessary correct. I received a nice note from Stan who apologized for oversight with thinners and offering next haircut on the house. Again, it was a good haircut from the start but I was picky regarding use of thinners. Situation resolved and I’m again a fan!

You get genuine service, no rush, no pressure. Haircuts are top notch, and it’s gets done proper every time. Will return here more often as I stopped trying to cut my own hair as I can’t make it look as good as Stan does.
