A very small, but critical, step above the usual airport fast food fare. Since this is the only place to eat in the United/Alaska terminal I have tried all of the sandwichs. All of them are simple, relatively fresh ‘wichs that full the hole in my gut. However don’t mistake need for want, this place is only there to fill the pre-flight food craving and nothing else. Expect the normal airport prices($ 8.99/sandwich).

Fast service, kick ass bacon, egg and cheese croissant sammiches, decent coffee. Thanks for the artery clog! :)

My panini was hysterical. Very cold in the middle and very warm on the outside. The bread tasted of actually quite low quality product that was nothing but papery and flavorless. It was a Caprese sandwich by name but you could put any sort of cold flavorless vegetable product in it and some white colored flavorless annoying textured cheese and came out with the same thing — zero hint of tomato, basil, or milky mozzarella flavors. Also, I know it’s the airport but the price for what you actually got factor was disturbing! The name of this place is way too fancy considering they fail to make a proper grilled cheese!

You don’t need Unilocal to tell you not to eat(most) airport food, but I’m going to spell it out anyways. Don’t eat the food here. Not even if you smell something that seems freshly baked. That’s probably not even from this place, but rather the Starbucks on the other side of the rotunda. Let my «croissant» serve as a warning to others. Don’t eat here.

For airport food, this was better and not outrageously expensive like many other places. We grabbed a ham, egg, cheese breakfast sandwich and a coffee to tie us over — did the trick.

Whatever you do, do NOT go here. Seriously. Save yourself a wasted $ 7, because you will NOT eat the sandwich. I ordered the ham and cheese croissant sandwich. The croissant was burnt(seriously, see my photo), and the eggs were cold. The ham and cheese part were okay, but really nothing more than okay. Overall, this sandwich was disgusting and I definitely couldn’t finish it. Save your money and order a pastry or something from Starbucks right around the corner.

$ 11.83 for a roast beef sandwich(abt 6″ long with very LITTLE meat and lettuce) and a medium blah coffee. YUCK! I thought I’d left NYC long ago! Better to just go to a Von’s or grocery somewhere else beforehand and get something better made to eat later(I didn’t have time). It would’ve been cheaper and much better if I had just picked up a roll somewhere and some deli meat if I had more time! Very little seating, and they don’t clean the tables, seats, etc at all. grrrrr

We only had the chocolate croissants, but they were excellent, tasting fresh and tender. A nice find in the otherwise bleak food situation at SAN.

I had the Tuscany sandwich. It was better than expected. I was particularly pleased with the flavor of the tomato and onion. For the venue, this was worth it to me. Thank you.

I ordered the Dijon Chicken Sandwich with Ciabatta bread. I don’t really have much to say about it other than it was fairly average. The bread wasn’t really fresh, but the chicken was nice and moist. They had a good variety of sandwiches and salads, but of course, prices are a bit on the higher end. I almost want to say that I’d rather just wait until I arrive at my destination to grab food… But beggars can’t be choosers! And I was HUNGRY!

This particular Brioche Dorée resides in the United Rotunda of Terminal 1 at San Diego International Airport. They offer all kinds of sandwiches, fresh, hot pizzas, baked good, soups, salads and more. Be aware, there is very sparse restaurant seating at Brioche Dorée or in the United Rotunda. Most likely you will grab your food and go back to a seat at your gate to eat it. Had a cup of their chicken noodle soup — was rather average, yet filling. I’d eat here again.

I had the croissant sandwich. It was so oil and so expensive and COLD.

The Turkey and Brie Sandwich was phenomenal! I trie not to eat at airports ttoo often because, well, I don’t trust a lot of the restaurants or their disgruntled employees working at airports. Let’s just face it, these people have to put up with a lot of flustered travelers and do it for little pay. But this place was good. It had great choice of baked goods and drinks and made my layover from charlotte to San Francisco, a little more enjoyable.
