Broadway Pizza

After a night of shenanigans on our recent trip to San Diego it had been decided we should order some take out. Mind you it was after 3 am by the time this decision had been made.
Broadway Pizza it was. I was surprised when my wife decided she wanted pizza as she nearly never eats it, but I wasn’t going to say no. Our hotel clerk recommend this place and I wasn’t really in any state to question his opinion.
Placed and order for a Works Pizza and some chicken strips. Honestly I don’t know how much time went by, but it didn’t seem like it was very long before there was a knock at the door. Pizza and chicken had arrived.
I’ve had much better pizza believe me, however I’ll forgive this simply because well, it’s California and they don’t know any better. The crust could have been more crispy and a better sauce, however it was decent. Chicken with the BBQ sauce was decent as well.
Probably wouldn’t order from this location again, but hey you live and learn, and being in an unfamiliar city it’s all part of the adventure.

Good old skool family style. Nice juicy burgers with real lettuce! Late night always the go too.

Literally bugs crawling on the walls. I flicked two bugs off of my table and saw at least 5 more on the wall next to my table before I completely lost my appetite.
After seeing several smooshed bugs on the floors and walls we decided to leave the rest of our food and just go.
Mediocre pizza, friendly service and terribly unclean restaurant. Pretty bummed.

Pizza cold and wobbly. Not worth it — delivery time ok but taste is… Even at 1 am after to much beer…

Came here yesterday with some friends originally we were gonna go to pokez but they were closed so at 11pm this place was the only place open at this time. I’m really into the whole hole in a wall restaurants but this place wasn’t really into my taste. I didn’t mind eating here but our friends we haven’t seen in a while were craving pizza. Honestly if I was to get pizza I would have gotten papa johns, I wasn’t paying so I couldn’t complain. Atmosphere this place gets a star, just gave me a sketchy feeling in there. Plus as soon as we came in there’s some crazy lady screaming cussing which isn’t very welcoming. We ordered the large pizza for $ 11.99 we got two. I’ve seen the reviews here and I don’t think I’d order delivery. It only took like 20mins to dine in. The reason why I’m giving this place 2 more stars the guy that gave us our pizza was really nice they gave us ranch that cost an extra 75 cents but for free. Their pizza is pretty good, and it costs a decent price. Id probably come back if I was craving food at 3am desperately looking for food. But not one of my to go places.

This is a terrible place to give your business to. I placed an order with them and they told me it would take 45min at the latest… 1hr and 45min later I decided I didn’t want the food anymore. My girlfriend calls to cancel the order and the guy goes off on her. I called the place to talk to the guy and the first thing out of his mouth is «you want to look tough in front of your girlfriend? Come down here and show it»
Then the delivery guy came to the door and said we placed it 15 minutes ago.
I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy. Terrible customer service.

First of all, the lady with a Mario tattoo on her titties asked for more tips then I already gave her which I think is illegal. The pizza is worse then the ones I buy from 7 eleven. The LARGE pizza was like 11 inches! I wonder what a small or medium looks like! And the cheese sticks are like the microwaveable frozen mozarella sticks that I had in 3^rd grade for hot lunch. These 6 little sticks and a 11 inch «large» pizza came out to $ 26! And I also waited 45 minutes. Idk what to do to myself. I almost told them to take the food back and let me starve… I don’t even want to rate 1 star, how do you give 0?! Go to New York Pizza! It’s a block away!

Broadway Pizza claims to have fast delivery but after returning to our hotel after the Taylor Swift concert, we ordered a pizza from here at 12:47 am. We were told it would be about 45 minutes but at 2:00 am we still had no pizza and had heard nothing from the restaurant. We called to check on our order and were told it was on its way. 2:20 am and still no pizza. We were falling asleep waiting for this pizza and finally had to call again and cancel the order because we were sure it was not coming. Terrible service. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant at all. The staff was very rude and didn’t seem to care at all. FAST DELIVERY MY A**!

They sent a wrong order for me, and charged a different price for a medium pizza than they show on the folder! And the delivery guy was rude with no patience to explain!

Ordered two pizzas from here at 1 am from our hotel at the Hilton. It came in only 20 minutes and the service was super friendly! The works pizza was delicious, the crust is so tasty and the flavors from all the toppings blended really well together.
The only thing stopping me from giving their pizza 5 stars is that their dough was burned at the bottom of one of the two pizzas we got. But overall their pizza was delish, I wonder why there are so many bad reviews!

Ordered two pies and had them delivered, the service was quick and friendly! The food was a bit of a miss, one pizza was cooked well, and one was torched.

I live near the location by Disney in Anaheim. It’s since changed its name from Broadway Pizza to the hideaway or something along those lines — that location is amazing! So naturally going to San Diego for the weekend I figured I had a go to pizza spot.
I was wrong — the pizza showed up on time and looked delicious. Under the toppings was a well hidden burnt crust. I don’t mean well done, I mean burnt, hard, and disgusting. It was the kind of burnt that makes your tongue curl up, dry out, and fall off! The wings from the Anaheim location are on point! The wings at the San Diego location were just as good as the burnt crust. Maybe it was a 12am fluke, but I won’t take that chance again on my weekend getaways.

If your in San Diego and its 1am and your hungry, don’t order from this place it’s probably the worst food in San Diego pasta is water and bland garlic bread is covered in burnt garlic and oil the pizza well you would be better off staying hungry. The delivery person was rude and did not like my tip .
AVOID at all cost.

Worst pizza we have ever gotten. Tastes just like frozen pizza. Asked for ranch and got peppers instead. Pizza tastes like it was sitting out forever.
I should have read the reviews before we ordered. NEVER AGAIN!

Listen to the Unilocalers and stay away. Like most, it was the only close late night option. I’d been far more satisfied with Subway. Getting our food took awhile, pizzas are small and the crust is gross.

Asked the front desk at the Hyatt for a good late-​night food recommendation and they gave me the number to this place. What a joke. We placed an order for a pizza and after 80 minutes we had to call to confirm it was even still coming. When we called we were asked for our room number, told it would be there any minute and that we would need to meet the driver in the lobby. After waiting in the lobby for 15 minutes, we called AGAIN and were told that our order was never placed.
These people need to get their act together. Don’t advertise that you deliver till 4 AM then lie about losing people’s orders. What a huge waste of time. I can’t believe my hotel even recommended this awful place.

Ordered at 1:16am after a gig… I was told 35 – 45 min… I expected 90 based on reviews…
It’s now 2 hours… I called at 100 min… They said «it’s on the way»
It’s likely I won’t wake up when they knock on the door.
Thankfully, pizza is the last thing I need at this hour so, thank you? I suppose

Horrible horrible horrible everything. Bad customer service, took 52 minutes for my pizza to get delivered, the man on the phone when I called to check where my pizza was, acted like he could care less when I get my pizza. He Wouldn’t even give me a discount or anything for lack of prompt service. Plus after waiting all that time for the pizza, it was cold and taste like cardboard. I paid $ 21 for the worse tasting pizza of my life. avoid this horrible disgusting business.

We: a group of 6 polite 20-​somethings who stumbled into Broadway Pizza following a fun-​filled romp in the Gaslamp District, hoping to satisfy our late night munchies. We may or may not have been wearing hilarious New Years hats.
You: A restaurant woefully incompetent of filling a simple order for two large pizzas in under 45 minutes with a rude staff, cold waiting area, and pizza that — once we finally got it home — tasted like cardboard dusted with stale tomato sauce topped with toe-​jam cheese and «meat» toppings that likely originated from a rodent with dysentery.
Recommendation: avoid Broadway Pizza at all cost.

Have been waiting over 90 minutes for pizza. It was supposed to be here in 40.
We called at 60 minutes and were told it would be here in 10. No pizza.
A guy called us at 90 minutes and said he would be here in 5. It has been another 20 minutes. No pizza.
