Hi Not at all impressed… It is supposed to be a to go, quick and easy pick up and leave your of place(so they claim). Then why have all those tables inside if you won’t accommodate us?! We received our bags of food with no utensils, no napkins, and they got the order wrong. The food was yummy, though. So I assume the restaurant is good, with service being the reason our experience lacked excellence. We ordered the bruschetta, a flatbread, and salad. All was very yummy, but we had to get our own dressing and utensils and napkins, which was very disappointing. Also, having to wait five minutes at the counter before being acknowledged is unacceptable.

I’ll never go back. The food is good, the service is better, but the bartender spent the night behind the bar cursing loudly about all sorts of things. The straw that broke the camel’s back was when he started going off about being able to sell a $ 90 bottle of wine in Hillcrest. According to him, you can’t because of all the asshole hipsters and then there’s all the fags and dykes in Hillcrest. Apparently hipsters, fags and dykes can’t afford a $ 90 bottle of wine.

One of my favorite restaurants in San Diego! Busalacchi’s can be a bit pricey(with appetizer, food and wine), but the food, and especially the service, never disappoint. On weekend nights, they often times have a two or three piece band playing on the patio, which adds to the ambiance. Busalacchi’s is a great place for a date night!
