Cheesy Amigos

The Cheesy Amigos were better than I expected for our birthday party. Everyone raved about the idea, their service and grilled cheeses… thank you!

I found this foodie truck at the Sand Sculpture Exhibit over the Labor Day Weekend. What a good find!
The Cheesy Amigos offer up cheesy sandwiches. I tried the Spicy Triple Cheese sandwich. They grill the sandwich panini style. Filled with yummy mac n cheese. They were making each sandwich as they were order so they were piping hot and fresh.
Pricing is decent.
Customer service was top notch. I would try them again. I want to try the Lobster Mac sandwich next time. I just need to stumble across this foodie truck again.

They catered for my little brothers elementary school. I ordered the mac and cheese one and it had mac and cheese and bacon on bread. Its really pretty and had nice grill marks on them, the price wasn’t really worth it at $ 6 though… I thought it’d be delicious as it said gourmet. My cheese wasn’t as I expected to be oozing. Not worth the money just make one for yourself.

I’ve been looking forward to finding this food truck and today was the day! It definitely was worth the wait and lived up to my expectations. Highly rec the buffalo chicken with the tri-​tip and Mac & cheese tied for second. Incredibly fast service, great prices and awesome grilled cheese! #amazingness

We had them cater a birthday party at our house & we were very pleased. Sandwiches were tasty, service was great & speedy. We will definitely consider using them again.

LOVE Cheesy Amigos! I hired Lance and Matt to bring their cart to a co-​ed baby shower I recently hosted and they were totally the highlight of the party. They were extremely helpful and accommodating when picking a date, time and set up. During the party, Matt was so awesome taking orders, cooking everything quickly, and bringing the sandwiches in to guests. He totally went above and beyond. The sandwiches were unique and delicious. I sampled several different varieties and each one was amazing and full of good flavor. You can tell they use great ingredients and have a knack for pairing different tastes together. I love me some grilled cheese sammiches! Cheesy Amigos definitely delivers. I was at Hess Brewery in Miramar this evening and had the opportunity to try a couple sandwiches — the Mac & Cheese Panini and the Oktoberfest. I enjoyed these melted cheesy goodies so much that I bought a couple to go to take home to the husband. He enjoyed the sandwiches too! I would not mind finding these guys wherever I happen to be hanging out — their food and prices are great. The guys are super friendly and they apparently change their menu every once in awhile. I’ll be following them on FB to keep up with their locations. I can’t wait to try the lobster grilled cheese as well as the strawberry grilled cheese. Yum!

These guys really turned a mediocre type of food into a high end meal with a variety of outstanding flavors!
My absolute favorite is the Oktoberfest sandwich, they don’t always carry it but you can email/​call them and order a special sandwich at no charge!
They are nice guys and have perfectly filled this niche in the market!

Friendly, prompt, dependable ! We just used them today for my daughters shower, they promised me 4 different sandwiches they delivered 6! What a surprise, my guest were very happy and full! I will definitely use them again!

Who doesn’t like a well constructed grilled cheese sandwich? My wife and i were at Hess Brewery in North Park last Sunday and these guys were taking care of food business. The lobster cheese paninis tasted delicious. Maybe it’s time to go bigger with ciabatta… just a suggestion. Two happy, friendly dudes trying to make a difference.

We had Cheesy Amigos cater our going away party for our daughter and son in law. They were absolutely amazing! From the start, Lance was so great with answering all my questions. At our party, they were so friendly and helpful! Amazing guys! The sandwiches were phenomenal! It was a big hit because the concept was so different from the usual dogs and burgers. I can’t say enough great things about this company. I highly recommend them if you are on the fence about booking them for your next event!

We used Cheesy Amigos for our engagement party yesterday at Coronado Brewing Co. And could not before thrilled! Throughout the whole booking process the Cheesy Amigos were incredibly responsive and wonderful to work with. The food was amazing, outstanding service and very friendly. Our guests were raving about the sandwiches and total cost was actually less than expected. Thanks so much for making our party such a success! Would use these guys again in a heartbeat.

These guys really know how to make a toasty panini! SImple operation where sandwiches are freshly made, daily and then carried in their cart reefer, for toasting fresh to order. The quality of the bread is fantastic and the fillings are wonderful. I have visited them on two different occasions when they’ve been at ChuckAlek brewery in Ramona.
The Grilled cheese sandwich has a wonderful combination of cheeses with just a little bit of pepper for zest. The Lobstah sandwich is divine, though the second time I had it and they reformulated with new cheeses and frankly, I prefer the original recipe (just like we all did with Coke). Hopefully, they too will see the folly of their ways and revert to the original recipe! The bacon and egg is unbelievably good, flavor unbelievably complex. It is now my favorite.
Definitely get a couple of sandwiches. Tasty, good but not overly filling (a good thing), so you can get two with a friend and because they’re served sliced in half, you can then mix ‘n match and try two different sandwiches.

To be clear, this is a food stand/​cart, not a truck! Paid them a visit at their debut at Food Truck Fridays on Park and Meade today. Got the Caprese and Mac n Cheese grilled cheese (what? yes, you heard me right MAC N CHEESE GRILLED CHEESE). I believe it was like $ 6 each and they were both pretty great. Surprisingly, they did not feel as heavy as we had anticipated, which is notable since this is a big worry when all you are consuming for dinner is grilled cheese sandwich varieties. They use bread from bread&cie and they must do a nice herb/​oil brush on the bread before they press it because it has great flavor on its own. The caprese was light, fresh, and of course, cheesy. They are considered gourmet, but compared to the GreenGo truck they were set up next to, they were much more traditional/​homey/​cost-​friendly, which is fine by me!
