They are expanding their craft selections and the staff is always very friendly. Told me give them a week and they can get special requests for me (delivery every Thursday?). Good neighborhood liquor store spot. Decent prices.

I needed a last minute gift and I was in the Clown’s neighborhood. I thought, «Why not.» No fooling around here. The very friendly and helpful man behind the counter showed me his selection, I found a perfect gift and was on my way.

On my way home I was thinking to myself «Does that new vented Coors Light can really work? Can I shot-​gun this can without popping a hole in the bottom of the can with my car keys?» Yes, I know, it’s Coors Light. It would be strictly for research purposes. Anyways, I stopped in to Clown Liquor as I figured, being a neighborhood liquor store, they might have such an item. To my dismay, they had no received any of the new special cans. But wait! What’s this? Stone, Ballast Point, New Belgium, Left Coast! Right here, just a bike ride away from home? Sweet! I could no resist pickup up a 22 oz. of 1554, Torrey Pines IPA and Stone 10th Anniversary. Nice to know I can get something good so close by when I have a craving. Way to go Tom. I will be seeing you again soon.

Tom, the owner, is a really nice guy which is the reason this review earned a fourth star.
This liquor store recently got its liquor license so a lot of improvement and growth should be expected.
Tom has a surprisingly good coffee set-​up. At least three other places to get coffee are within walking distance, but his is the most convenient for the price.
There’s no ATM, but he can give you cash-​back from the register.
He has a decent variety of liquor, wine, and beer. There’s plenty of groceries but most of them are faded and old looking. Also, I couldn’t find Tapatio or tortilla chips, which I was really upset about. Tom said he would upgrade his selection of hot sauce.
