And I am in love with my new haircut!
On top of that, the price is very reasonable. ($ 40)
She listens well to what/​how you want your hair, and her skills are amazing!
Within 30 min of haircut, my hair turned out to be exactly what I wanted!
Another 30 min for blow dry and straightening, but that could depend on the length/​quantity of your hair is. I have 3 times more hair than normal people and I have a long hair as well.
She is very friendly and I enjoyed talking to her while I was at the salon.
I would definitely recommend her.

Great hair salon! Ly does wonders — attentive, detail-​oriented, and very in tune with the customer’s wishes. I made a same day appointment and they managed to squeeze me in towards the end of the day. Cut was $ 40, totally worth it for Ly’s thoroughness and expertise. I’ve been searching different salons that I should go to on Unilocal and decided to give Concept Salon a try. Ly was my stylist and carefully listened to what I wanted. I was not disappointed at all! I’m incredibly happy with my new hair cut.

This is my go to place for an awesome cut and color! Ly is great and really knows what she’s doing. I always enjoy my little me-​time every time I go get my hair done. She’s really nice and easy to talk to, we always end up talking about food! I definitely recommend this place :)

Ly did a great job on my thick tough hair. She did partial highlights with base color. She is great to talk to. She started right on time and was very efficient. She took her time to make sure it was perfect. Very clean and nice place.

My daughter in law has had Ly cut her hair several times and was really happy with her, so I decided to give her a try. I have really thick wavy hair– no fun for me and never fun for a stylist either. Although I thought Ly was a very nice person, I got a very drab looking bob with no style or creativity. My son called it the «Let me speak to the manager» cut. I was very disappointed, and the right side was noticeably shorter than the left. Maybe it was an off day for her, but it has been an off 2 months for me as it grows back. Major bummer from this middle aged customer. Not going back.

I went in for a cut today, and Jaycee was available. I had hair just below my shoulders, and wanted to go extreme to a short style. She was so helpful in discussing how I would style it, products to use, etc., before she cut it all off.
Had my hair washed, cut, and styled. Was $ 40, which was reasonable. She took her time and made sure it was perfect. Was in the chair for 1.25 hours, but she was so friendly it seemed to go by fast.
The salon itself is clean and bright, and everyone seemed friendly and happy to be there. Nice environment. I will be going to this salon from now on.

I wasn’t expecting much to be honest, no website and a generic looking exterior.
But it was awesome! The prices are so good and Ly does such a good job at cutting my hair to give it some shape and layers, despite my really thin hair. Ly gives me a look that is low daily maintenance while still looking stylish.

Ly did such an amazing job with my cut and color that I have recommended her to everyone I know. She is amazing!!! Affordable and amazing work!

This is my first Unilocal review. I wanted to take the time out to give Concept a 5-​star review, because I am so pleased with my haircut. I went from long hair to short hair above the shoulder, and I couldn’t be happier. I got the haircut from the mom (Sorry, I didn’t catch your name!), and when I asked her if I had to blowdry my hair with a round brush to achieve a presentable short hair style everyday, she said no, a good haircut wouldn’t require you to do that. Low and behold, I wake up the next day after having washed my hair the night before, my hairstyle is totally presentable without any kind of work done to it. I will be reserving all my haircuts and colors for here whenever I come to San Diego from LA. AND it’s only $ 35 for a haircut.

Modest salon in San Diego. I made a same day appointment for Ly and she was able to accommodate. Ly asked me what I wanted with detailed follow up questions. When I asked for her suggestions, you definitely could tell she was thoughtful of what would complement my face shape. Ly was also very detailed while cutting my hair, texturizing thoroughly, layering, all while making conversation with me. At the end of the day, my haircut came out to be $ 35 + tip, which I thought was totally worth it for a quality, fresh haircut. Thank you, Ly!

When it comes to my hair, I am very sensitive and it is really hard to find a good hairstylist. I was browsing for salons, and I found Concept Salon. I gave it a try due to good reviews, and I loved the result. The place is clean and they are friendly and accomodating.

I’ve been going to a lot of different places in SD for haircuts in this past year and could never quite find somebody that could cut my hair just the way I wanted. I’m a guy and I’m a little particular about the way I like my cut (nothing too complicated though, just a fade). I came here to get my hair cut by Ly and she was everything you would expect from all these other awesome Unilocal reviews.
Ly is everything you want in a hair stylist: friendly, talkative, open to feedback, and extremely attentive to detail. I showed her a picture of a haircut I wanted and I got exactly what I asked for. No other hair cutter or barber has come close to providing the level of service and skill that Ly gave me today and I can happily say that I will be going back to her for a long time.

LOVE LY! She was amazing. She listened to what I wanted and made valuable suggestions. I love my hair. I live in Denver Colorado and haven’t been to a salon in years because I never really seem to get what I want. She made my reunion with the salon scene perfect. The salon is clean and well kept and everyone is so very helpful and happy. I visit the area each month, so I won’t be going anywhere else from now on. Kudos to Ly, she is wonderful.

Trust me when I say I am a serial salon-​hopper.
I update my hair probably once every 2 – 3 months including cut, color and style. I take it from red to purple to many different brown tones whenever I feel like a change is necessary. Unfortunately, not many stylists out there are willing to join me on that adventure… hahaha.
Ly is amazing! She is super nice and her prices are affordable. She’s also very good at giving her recommendations for the most natural, pretty look.
Next time I am due for another hair appointment, she will be the first person I book!
P. S. Irrelevant, but this lady also lifts. Please give me workout tips!

Finding Ly was a huge blessing! I finally decided to cut all my hair off after 9 months of debating. I looked at the ratings on Unilocal and thought now or never. Ly looked at a picture I brought in and a hour later my hair looked exactly like the picture. That never happens! I will continue to recommend this salon and by the way the prices are amazing!

I am so glad that I found Ly! She was easy to talk to, spent almost an hour washing, trimming and blow drying my hair. Only charged $ 35 plus tips. I think she has a great sense on what would look good on people. I loved my hair cut and it was easy to maintain. Didn’t want to leave a good review here first cause I was afraid that she will become too busy to make appointment with ;) but I think she definitely deserve the praise from a satisfied customer and some good business!

You know I really like this place when the first thing I do upon getting home is write this review.
I had gotten my hair cut two months ago but the person didn’t include too many layers. I decided to change that and looked up several places earlier this week — saw that Concept had a lot of good reviews from other Unilocalers so I thought, ‘why not?‘
So glad about the decision I made. Ly is probably my most favorite hair stylist by far. She cut my layers so well and she was fun to talk to! Pricing is pretty reasonable as well. I had a dry cut which was $ 25 + $ 10 tip. Concept Salon, I think you have a new loyal customer in your hands :)
