Took a special someone to this place as her birthday celebration. A little detail to note, when I made the reservation, they told me that the place might be hard to park due to the game at Petco park. Loved this kind of details in services. This is just one of many things they excel as host/hostess. Food was marvelous and top notch service. Back to birthday celebration. Since it is a birthday, they make a menu to print happy birthday *name*, and when dessert comes, candles and happy birthday written in chocolate. To the food: Amuse-bouche — I blanked out when the waitress was saying what it was. Bite size, on the spoon, and changes based on the chef’s preference. It was just to start your palate. Roasted quail — We ordered it just because we never had it. Beef tartare and beef tongue also looked appetizing, but there’s only two of us, so we went with curiosity. Very tasty little dish, and makes you crave for more food. Miyazaki Waygu New York — Terrific piece of steak. The meat was rich with natural flavors. One of the best steaks. Very intense beefy flavor with a hint of oil. Rib eye steak — Also excellent. It may not be as complex as Waygu, but it holds its own ground. We wrapped this up since we couldn’t finish it. I know, I know, microwaving steak is like desecrating a flag, but this steak was still great the second day. Best darn steak indeed. I would also like the acknowledge the girl who made my reservation and the staff members who made it happen. I asked them to do a certain small favor, and they delivered. It was not part of their routine, and I won’t say what it was because it might increase their workload, even slightly(nor saying you should start asking weird things; mine was a subtle gesture), but it was very nice of them to do so. Thank you for the memorable evening.

My first dining experience at Cowboy Star was AH-MAY-ZING! They start at 5pm and there were already a few parties waiting a few minutes before they opened their doors. The customer service from the hostess was great! We were seated then greeted by our server, Luke. Cool guy, btw! He welcomed the newcomers(including myself) and went over the menu with us and made a few recommendations. I ended up sharing the 40oz Porterhouse steak with someone and I suggest you do the same. It was SOOOOGOOD! It just melted in my mouth… it was heavenly. I swear, after every bite I said, «Mmmmm…» We cleaned it to the bone! And for dessert, we ordered their infamous Chocolate Bread Pudding which we shared amongst 6 people. I’m not a fan of bread pudding, but THIS was amazing! Just take a look at the photos I took and tell me your mouth is not watering. Go and check this place out! It’s worth it. Thanks to ALL the staff for working together as a team to deliver exceptional customer service, delicious, mouth watering food, and a memorable dining experience!

This place was pretty good. With no wait they took us back to the private dining room. We had to return our steaks for both being under cooked. However, once they brought them back cooked to how we asked it was quite good. The Mac and cheese was only ok if you ask me. Tastes like noodles with Alfredo sauce. We finished our with bread pudding which was very good. So this place is good but it’s about $ 70 per person and I wished they had gotten our steaks right the first Time but other than that Id go again.

Located in the heart of downtown San Diego, this contemporary and western style chophouse delivers for those who have a taste for exceptionally cooked beef. As soon as you arrive at the front door you feel as if your cool points have been bumped up just a touch. There’s a classy bar and lounge area as you walk in, with a western style décor; very tastefully done. I would recommend coming here 20 minutes early of your reservation to work up an appetite while sitting in their buzzing bar area. When sitting down you note that there is a subtle yet sophisticated feel to the menu without sacrificing their flare for western culture. You have an array of both fun and sexy dishes to choose from that allow for both sharing with you best mate or preserving for yourself. The portions are satisfying in size as you wouldn’t want to have to much of one dish, or else you may not have room for the next delicious plate on the menu. What was ordered: CHARCUTERIEANDCHEESEPLATE This comes with their daily selection of cured meats and domestic cheeses served with whole grain mustard, cornichons, and cranberry mustarda ROASTEDSEASONALMUSHROOMS This comes served with a chicken liver sauce, salsify, caramelized fennel, tangerine with mushroom stock 40OZ. PORTERHOUSEFORTWO This is a double — cut Porterhouse is PRIME«Natural» Monson Ranch Beef, aged for 21 days Everything we had was absolutely superb in flavor, presentation, and consistency. Come here on a special occasion once or twice a year, you will appreciate it much more.

This was my second time eating at Cowboy Star and I have to say, it is my favorite steakhouse in San Diego. We had foie gras, beef tartare, bone marrow, brussel sprouts, creamy spinach and of course ribeye! Everything was beyond superb and cooked to perfection! Even ordered crème brûlée for dessert! I cannot put into words the amount of pure joy I felt after having a bite of ribeye, marrow and foie gras. Go ahead and judge me! Haha Relaxed ambiance with great tunes playing in the background. Worth every penny and we’ll definitely be back soon!

This place is amazing. Went here with my family while we had a cousin in town and everything about it was great. Our server was knowledgeable and very personable. He didn’t smoother us but was still very attentive. I shared the porterhouse with another person at the table and it was really good, one of the better steaks I’ve had in a while. Everyone else had the filet or fib eye and said both were great. A little pricey but it’s definitely worth it.

Well I made a reservation for my 1st anniversary with my girlfriend and I gotta say, they really shined in the service not to mention the food was quality! It’s no secret you she’ll out some cash to eat here, but the level of skill and quality of ingredients that make you feel the difference in your mouth rather than your bank account. Food wise The steaks are awesome. But I loved the scallop Crudo app and the bread pudding! Its what sealed the deal. They did a killer Job for my anniversary dinner, with special menus and that awesome bread pudding dessert with Happy Anniversary spelled in chocolate.(personal top 5 favorites of all time). If you’re celebrating a special occasion, let them know and they will accommodate you! I look forward to next meal!

The happy hour here is really great. They are a higher class restaurant thus they are a little more expensive than many places. Think $$$. But the happy hour really makes it affordable. The appetizers are pretty darn good as well, try the sliders they are really good and about the most filling thing on the menu for happy hour. The bartenders here really do make a good cocktail. They have on the menu several that are old school, like from the 1930 – 1940’s like old school, so I’m told. They are actually pretty good and the fruit peel in the drink really does add something to it. The bar is extremely dog friendly as long as your dog is well behaved with others he or she will be welcome. Would like to have dinner here at some point as it looks and smell great when you walk thru the dining room. It seems to be on par with Flemings and Ruths Chris. They even have a butcher on site if you’d rather get a cut of meat to take home and grill yourself. Haven’t really ventured into the butchershop yet but that’s on the to do list!

Good restaurant for a steak. Down the street from the gas lamp quarter. I liked the cool décor it was very western and it was definitely a classier restaurant. I ordered the ribeye and it was around 42 $. I def enjoyed it. My husband got the filet mignon and he finished his. My server poured me a fresh full glass of wine when I told her a bug died in mine which I thought was really kind of her to do. The staff was great. I would come back for sure.

Stopped in for dinner to celebrate my Dad’s 71st birthday. We’ve been meaning to check Cowboy Star out for quite some time and finally we got the chance! First of all, the restaurant is cozy with a welcoming western motif. Cowhide chairs in the entrance make for a comfortable waiting area. Bar area is a bit small. Waitstaff are friendly and knowledgeable providing excellent recommendations. Food is amazing! I had the Wagyu Skirt steak and man was this delish. It was recommended to order the side of chimichurri sauce and I’m glad I did! Also ordered the 12oz ribeye and the filet mignon. Both got huge raves from my parents. It’s also nice that each entrée comes with mashed potatoes and a vegetable(asparagus in our case)…usually you have to order these separately at other steakhouses. Although each cut was priced between $ 40 – 46, it was cooked to perfection and definitely worth it! We tried a ½ dozen oysters and was a bit disappointed in the size of the oyster. I think they topped it with more condiments than the actual oyster itself! It was tasty but I’d refrain and get my oysters elsewhere. Drinks were a bit overpriced. I had the Hogans Mule and wasn’t too impressed for $ 12. Not even served in a traditional mule mug… I know, I Know, it’s not a traditional mule. Dessert was just mediocre as well. We had the chocolate chip bread pudding which I found to be on the dry side… like a left out cinnamon roll. Letting the ice cream melt was its only saving grace. In the end, this would make my final review at 3 stars but oh that Skirt steak!!! Bump it up one more star!

What a difference a chef makes. With Executive Chef Victor Jimenez TDY to the backwaters of Colorado, where, presumably, he’ll have better luck selling $ 90 Porterhouses whose appeal has been burned out of them, Cowboy Star’s Chef de Cuisine Chris Osborne and his capable cooks are free to provide diners a predictably satisfying experience. We’re better off for the change. Chef Chris, who was sous chef when I visited Cowboy Star eighteen months ago, was responsible for the things I liked best about the place. I recently returned, and happily noted that, since his advancement, Chef has added subtle sophistication to the restaurant’s menu and has improved on already-excellent preparations. Good for Cowboy Star, and good for us. Whether instinctively, by training or from a combination of those, Chef Chris knows that it’s important, when designing a menu, to feature the food, using sauces and side items to enhance — not hide — the quality of his preparations. Also, Cowboy Star’s kitchen, like those in high-end restaurants everywhere, uses modern cooking methods. But it isn’t a showcase for molecular gastronomy — that proving ground for adolescents who bounce off the walls, shouting, «Please look at me!» Cowboy Star is a place where cooks, cook. Chef Chris knows that those who use modernist techniques — what New Yorker magazine called, «scientific party tricks» — to challenge the laws of physics and pyrodynamics in an arrogant assertion of their cleverness, only do so after feeding people becomes unimportant to their work. Richard Blais, j’accuse! How do I know that Chef Chris knows these things? Because he once spooned delectable sweet corn ice cream onto tender chunks of lobster, whose slight brine salted the summery vegetal custard. The cool, creamy shellfish salad reminded me of lobster rolls. I was satisfied, happy and appreciative, and that was just a side dish. And recently, his kitchen served me seared diver scallops that were improved by their dressing, which had a slight lemony-truffle punch moderated by the sweetness of the shellfish, the combination bringing to mind, in the best way possible, lemon chiffon. And, of course, there’s Cowboy Star’s skirt steak, but that’s a fan favorite, so I’ll just say, «Me too.» Chefs can change a city by capturing the imagination, not only of their colleagues, but of the public, who will rightly discount popularity and fame, and support a good cook’s craftsmanship. Chris Osborne is good for San Diego, and I offer him belated congratulations for his promotion from sous chef to CDC, and promise to follow him, when, inevitably, he opens a restaurant, to show his colleagues what they ought to be about.

We ate here for restaurant week, although only one of us did the restaurant week menu and the other decided to go more traditional with a steak(the restaurant menu only offered a filet on the steak side, which we didn’t want). The duck dish was amazing with a nutty sauce, fennel, and many other ingredients. It was perfectly balanced and just plain inventive and interesting. Pumpkin soup was hearty, well seasoned, and with spices spices and pomegranate seeds. It had a beautiful presentation too. The special 14 oz ribeye 35-day dry-aged steak was absolutely delicious. Fantastic, subtle, aged-beef flavors. It came with well-prepared and seasoned rich mashed potatoes and broccoli. Finally, the sticky date pudding was the perfect ending. A great deal for restaurant week and a great steak. We’ll be back.

Cowboy Star is my favorite steakhouse in San Diego, and has been that way since it opened. My routine order is the 18 oz 34 day dry aged ribeye, but today I was in for a burger. Said burger is ground fresh everyday and rested on a flaky, almost croissant like bun. I added the houses’ thick cut uncured bacon and dove in. The burger was juicy, flavorful, and a fantastic deal for $ 11(+ $ 2 for the bacon).

Decided to finally try this place for date night during restaurant week. Cute place and surprised I never noticed the location before! Heard their happy hour is great. Sit at the bar and save $. The ambience was nice and quiet for a restaurant but we did go early at 5:30pm. It was nice to have a convo without having to talked over music and the other people. Our server was attentive and friendly and made excellent recommendations. Hubby and I decided not to order off restaurant week menu and decided to go with the t-bone which was an off menu item, and the strip steak based on recommendations. The t-bone was not very impressive though I did only have a couple of bites. It was not as tasty as mine. My strip steak was on point. They say never order a strip steak but this wagyu piece was marbled enough that it made the piece so tender. Some parts did taste too fatty tho. Oh and can’t forget the beef tartare which we started off with again based on recommendations and it was excellent! Also tried the ginger beer and crème brûlée. The crème brûlée was traditional and well made with blueberries and strawberry slices on the side. Sorta wished for a better dessert menu though. Would definitely recommend this place if you haven’t been!

My husband and I enjoyed this steak house last night for this 30th birthday. We get to our table and the menu is personalized with his name on it saying«happy 30th birthday, Ryan!» We had one of the best experiences we’ve ever had. Our server name was Jeremy. He was funny, helpful, kept our drinks coming, even topped off my wine towards the end of our time on the house because my husband ordered another one. He didn’t think it was right that I sat there when my drink was almost done. That was awesome! I ordered the sea bass. Phenomenal. My husband ordered the 14oz rib eye. He said by far the most delicious tasting steak he’s ever had. We also got the mushrooms on the side and Brussel sprouts. We can’t wait to come back. We will definitely request for our friend Jeremy. If you happen to read this Jeremy, you’re the best & thanks for the perfect service! Cheers!

During a beef conference I enjoyed the private dining room with a party of 19 others. The staff all around did a perfect job. Service and food outstanding. Natural beef selection left you feeling good not slow and miserable like a lower quality steak(Morton s). I did see the dozens of bread pudding reviews and well I’m still not a bread pudding guy, lol. This is what a steakhouse has become. Embrace it, enjoy it and thank the team for doing it the right way.

Meat is delicious. Service is splendid. Ambience is tranquil and friendly. I grew up nearby farms, so I cannot demand extremely cheap steak when I know how hard it’s to find quality meat that is prepared exactly the way you want it at an «affordable» price(if you think Outback it’s expensive, then don’t waste your time since you clearly are a cheap mofo with not taste buds to appreciate a savory steak.) I’ve been here three times now and everything has been PERFECT. From the bartender attending for us while we waited for our table, from the server that never fails to deliver everything asap, to the delicious, juicy steak that is always perfectly cooked medium rare with no sauce. Cowboy Star, me gusta. Ps-Get a cocktail, you won’t regret it!

I had an outstanding meal here as part of an organized dinner party for 30. We were offered a variety of appetizers — the japeleno tuna sashimi and the steak tartar were outstanding — and then one of four choices for an entrée(filet, ribeye, pork tenderloin, fried squash blossoms). No one at my table had the squash blossoms, but the other entrees were great. My filet was perfectly cooked, and the broiled brussel sprouts served with it were delicious. I’ll go back there for sure the next time I’m in town. Also need to mention that the bartender mixed the best Knob Creek Manhattan I’ve ever had. Couple all that with some fantastic service and a nicely decorated space, and you have the perfect evening.

The waiters were wearing suites, the place was dimly lit, the bread was amazing and unique. It’s similar to most«expensive» places I’ve been too — the dim lighting and relaxed environment that makes it perfect for talking, celebrations, and intimate dates. The only con I found was the price. The steaks were super delicious, and I highly recommend if you’re going here, you’re wasting your time if you aren’t getting different types of steak. The mushroom appetizer was also amazing, if my memory serves me correctly. All in all, it’s exactly as expected in terms of a restaurant pricing and atmosphere, but I truly thought the steaks were above and beyond, despite them being high priced.

HOLYCOW! The meat here(the beef especially) is of SUPREME quality. Cowboy Star is a restaurant, but they also operate a butchery on the side. The existence of the butcher proves they mean business when it comes to providing the best cut of meat. This does not come without a price though. I still cry over how much we spent here, but it was the big bro’s almost 30th birthday, so what better way to celebrate getting old than going all out on your birthday dinner with your family? Hah. So, he made reservations beforehand and it was kind of cool, but I guess he mentioned it was his birthday, so they printed out special birthday menu’s for him! Really, the menu wasn’t any different. It just said ‘Happy Birthday!’ on the top I guess as a way to make someone feel special. Still super neat! On to the food! So, my mom does not eat beef, therefore she had very limited options. Thankfully, she ended up appreciating the Pork Chop. She found this exceptional and that’s saying something because my mama is a very picky eater. Wonderful! I ordered the Wagyu Skirt Steak and MAGAWSH was it PERFECTION! This is there Kobe style of beef and they did not disappoint. The marbling in the cut was ONPOINT and the meat just felt like it was melting in your mouth. Also so very and wonderfully tender. This was an 8oz. and the absolute perfect size for me. My bro got the Ribeye which was ginormous at 14oz.(pretty good for $ 39). I’m so glad I opted for the Skirt Steak instead. NOTE: They tend to cook their meats more towards the raw spectrum. For example, I asked for a medium-rare and my steak came out oozing blood(ohhh yea!). My brother’s girlfriend wanted a medium, but hers was still bleeding! She was a bit turned off by this, but stomached her way through it. In my opinion, a bleeding steak is a good steak. :D Additionally, service was remarkable and our waiter was very helpful in guiding us towards a proper wine selection. He did come off as somewhat curt and impatient towards my mother once. She’s always slightly confused when in these fine dining settings, but I can overlook that as he was mostly friendly. I’ll definitely return on another occasion, but only for a celebration. Because, man… my wallet can’t handle this!

Yee f*ing haw!!! Cowboy Star puts on a hell of a rodeo, bucking the tastebuds for a ride of a lifetime. Okay, enough of the cowboy shit. Okay, so my lass and I rode in the New Year with a hoedown of a chowdown! Okay, I swear that’s it. Since I’m still new to San Diego, even though I lived here for 8 years, my gal said this was the place for us to ring in 2016. She couldn’t have been more right! First off my impressions of the restaurant was a warm, inviting place with great ambiance and intimate feel. We arrived a little late and the hostess was very nice in offering us the chef’s viewing counter(they probably have a name for it, but I don’t remember). I was actually surprised that it was still a very intimate setting for my girlfriend and I, not too mention we were able to watch how talented these chefs are. So once we saddled up at the counter our server Will was right there ready to give us the cattle drive of drinks and food that would take 2 hours for us to finish. It started with the signature steak tartar. I love a tartar that melts in your mouth with flavors that are so well thought out. Absolutely amazing! Next in line was the one healthy part of our meal with the Heirloom Carrots. Oh shit, I forgot, it had cracklins! Well it was the healthiest of the lot. Now all of those PC Californians who feel bad for water fowl that get to eat as much as they want, have another person they won’t like in me. I could eat this Foie Gras every meal of the day. Keep stuffing those birds, cause they taste amazing at Cowboy Star! I swear I heard my girlfriend make a noise that is usually only appropriate for the bedroom! Really, that good? Yeah, it is. To finish up our heart healthy meal we decided to go with something on the lighter side, the Wagyu Skirt Steak. Haha, it was New Years Eve, we were drinking and needed a good base in our bellies. The Skirt Steak was flavor on top of flavor! Simple seasoning and perfectly cooked the steak’s tenderness and flavor was some of the best I have ever had. I have eaten many a cows so that’s saying something. I don’t think I would go here without getting the skirt steak. Well worth the trip. The food was beyond amazing and couldn’t have been a better way to starting 2016! I would also like to add, one of the other memorable things about this night was the second to none service. Will was extremely attentive and was obviously on top of the menu. His service just made our amazing night even better. While I was expecting chili and stews served by guys in cowboy hats and chaps, I think I like their version of Cowboy Star a hell of a lot better. Yippee Ki-Yay!

Had the opportunity to revisit Cowboy Star on NYE and had previously been here back to back back in August, surprisingly the waiter(Jason) recognized me and my girlfriend and insisted on serving us, and to no surprise he was very knowledgeable on the menu detailing any and everything we asked about, I normally don’t come on Unilocal to write reviews but just the fact that he remembered us and greeted us motivated me to come on Unilocal and write a review for the cowboy star, not to mention the food is amazing. Oh and you have to get the copper pineapples, two of those and you’ll definitely enjoy your night there.

I was served a delicious steak here, but was it better than the $ 100 ribeye at Mister A’s? Negative. But, $ 45 is much more palatable amount to spend on a steak, the off-menu, wet-aged, 20-ounce bone included porterhouse to be specific. When I order steak, I’m usually left thinking that I could’ve grilled something better at home. Not this time. Which makes me wonder what their trick is. Is it the salt? The dollop of herbed butter on top? The warm plate? Probably all of the above plus more. The warm bread with butter was a nice touch as well. I highly recommend this place for a classy steak dinner. This place is so classy that they cater the napkins to your attire(black napkin for dark clothes so that white threads don’t taint your outfit) and they hold your doggy bag in the back up until you’re ready to leave. Keep in mind that their doneness criteria is probably a bit more lenient than the average steakhouse, aka I considered my neighbors’ medium rares to be a little under cooked for my tastes.

Really a 3 ½. I made a reservation for my husband’s birthday based on the reviews of the steak and the cute personalization of the menu on someone’s birthday. We confirmed the reservation and on the night of our 7:30pm dinner, we get downtown and realize we will be late because we couldn’t find parking. I called them right at 7:30 and let them know. The hostess was passively aggressively rude about it. She goes, «okay, I will mark you down as being late…» I’m sorry, what? Is this an 8th grade science class? My husband and I were like WTF. The way she said it was dripping with passive aggression, it was so weird. I asked her for instructions on where to find a parking lot and she directed us and said thanks for calling, which was nice. When we walked in, ten minutes after our reservation, she barely spoke to us. Still silently upset, I guess. I noticed that the girl who was to bring us to our seats had menus, and I wanted to make sure that my husband’s birthday message was in the menu. I asked the hostess, his name is on the menu for his birthday, right? She acted like she was completely disgusted with me. She said, yes it is, so we went to our seats. Low and behold, his name was not on the menu and I was disappointed, ESPECIALLY because I specifically asked her about it. I asked our server to please check on our special menus. I watched him go up to the hostess and she handed them to him. She had them RIGHT next to her the whole time! I was livid. She was so rude. Other than that, the night went nicely. Glenn was an AMAZING and attentive server. He had a lot of big tables, and he handled all of them so well. I was impressed. We both ordered the local organic green salad — very good. We also had the filet mignon. They were good, but not the best I’ve ever had. It’s no Arroyo Chophouse in Pasadena. We also added on the Mac and cheese. I’m not sure I remember this being on the menu, but bacon is in the Mac and cheese. This Mac and cheese has a unique flavor — it’s almost a sweet flavor. So different to us that we asked what was in it when the manager came by to ask us how our meal was, but he didn’t know. He asked the chef, but the explanation was confusing. Anyways, I decided that I wasn’t a fan of the Mac and cheese. We had a lot let over and opted not to take it home. Glenn brought us our ordered dessert with a candle. We got the chocolate bread pudding, which was very good. We don’t even like bread pudding, but this was totally not what we expected. Had the perfect crispy/soft ratio going. This is a must try. Overall, the experience was okay. If it weren’t for Glenn and his amazing service, I would have given this place two stars.

I came here last Friday for a triple date night! Since it is in the outskirts of downtown, there was plenty of metered(free at night) parking close by. The restaurant is cowboy’d out & we were seated in a spacious booth. Our customer service was great & our meals were served in a timely manner. I ordered: Complimentary Assorted Bread, 3 flavors — The server will bring around a platter of bread but will only give you one. If you want more, like I did, you can ask! Good flavors & served warm! 8 oz. Filet, with Blue Cheese(extra) — Amazing! Complimentary Appetizer — A small pear slice marinated in something yummy. So juicy & tender, it just melts in your mouth. They are generous with the melted blue cheese. It is served with deliciously marinated Chinese Broccoli & fluffy mashed potatoes. Mm! Chocolate Bread Pudding — Huge! This dessert would have been perfect to share between the 6 of us but my friends were already stuffed! My boyfriend & I could barely finish it but it was so good, we had to try! Served warm with chocolate chips melted within & milky chocolate ice cream on top.

Amazing. Let’s put this out there. Best steak i’ve had all year. The wait staff was knowledgeable and informative. They spoke about the aging process, their personal favorites, guest favorites, etc. What I had: Off Menu — 38 Day Dry Aged Ribeye — Rare($ 46) —(5⁄5) Amazing. Perfect cook. Perfect Seasoning. Perfect mouth feel. This is what I want all steaks to be like. I savored every bite of this delicious steak. For some reason they were having a special with mashed potatoes and broccolini as well. Apparently that’s not normal so don’t expect that. This place is pricey. Don’t get that wrong. There is no way you are walking out of this place without spending $ 50 a person. At least. We had 12 people and spent $ 900. But it’s well worth the cost. Fancy dinners should definitely be held here.

Last Saturday, my boyfriend and I came in for my birthday dinner at 5. Our server’s name was Will I believe. He was very prompt and consistent on checking in with us and making sure everything was fine. So I’m glad we got great service even on SDRW. We both decided on getting the SDRW menu. I ordered the charred yellowtail, the salmon with crispy salmon skin and ended it with the chocolate bread pudding. EVERYTHINGWASCOOKEDPERFECTLYANDTASTEDAMAZING! Even the pallet starter they gave us beforehand. It was a crispy kale with mustard and apple. Everything on the plate paired up very nicely together. My boyfriend got the cauliflower soup, wagyu steak, and the chocolate bread pudding. The soup was really delicious too even though I don’t like cauliflower. The wagyu was so delicious. So much flavor and cooked the way we wanted. We’ll probably be back here to celebrate any of our bdays or anniversary. Couldn’t get over any of the stuff we ate! SDRW was $ 40 a person and it was worth every penny! I’ll be back here soon enough again!(:

I bought a 21 day dry aged ribeye to cook on the grill. The meat was great… though it should have been at $ 38/lb. There was a potentially disturbing experience as I called this past Monday to inquire about hours and availability. The restaurant receptionist did not tell me that the butcher shop is actually closed on Mondays. However, the Restaurant GM was able to sell me the steak since they also sell it from their own menu. Best to call ahead and confirm availability. Be prepared to pay big bucks.
