Crazee Burger Old Town is a great place to stop for a beer and a burger! I stopped in and had a great meal with wonderful service! Sadly, the owners are closing the doors and opening another Mexican themed restaurant within a few weeks so that brings this review to a close. Crazee Burger Old Town had great burgers and beers. «Had» in past tense being the operative term. Fin.

Crazee Burger, as featured on Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives is an excellent little place. There is two locations, Old Town and University Ave(I believe). Been to both, and the old town one is definitely nicer. If you are looking for a normal cheeseburger dont come here. Why? Get something exotic, something out of the ordinary. They have elk, antelope, alligator, kangaroo, and more! I had elk with brie melted on top with some grilled onions. It was great. Fries and onion rings were good, but not up to temperature(they had been sitting in the back for a while). Overall excellent experience and great service.

This was probably the best veggie burger I’ve ever had.

A Groupon deal saw our chance to try something ‘crazee’. Their special burger was camel. Yes, a camel burger with a special morroccan sauce. Even if it was a chance to say«Why yes, I’ve had camel», it was way out of the norm. When we walked in, the place had no air conditioning. This is kind of important; at the time we went, the temperature was about 85 degrees, but the humidity made life not-so-pleasant. On top of that, throughout our meal several flies kept trying to make friends with us and our food, due to the open doors. That kinda sucked. Anywho, we walked in and up to the counter. Seating is open, ordering is at the counter. You grab a menu, decide what you want, then head back up to the counter to order. I admit, the wait staff wasn’t entirely too attentive, but once i started ordering the girl behind the counter was very helpful with any question I had. Maybe it was where we sat — right underneath one of the speakers in the corner — but it was a little hard to have a conversation without borderline shouting. One of our friends actually got up to ask if they turn the music down, which they did. About 10 – 15 minutes later, the music went off and the football commentary came on(along with them changing the TV to said game). The noise was still tolerable, thankfully. Once they brought over our food, I was pleasantly surprised with my camel burger. The meat itself was similar to hamburger, looked slightly greasier than a usual steer burger, and left a peculiar aftertaste that wasn’t bad, just… different. The morroccan sauce was de-LISH! I would have eaten that by itself if it were an option. We also ordered their ‘frings’ — seasoned fries with onion rings. There were plenty fries… not so many onion rings. My wife ordered their Texan burger, which is basically a regular burger with onion rings and bbq sauce. She was underwhelmed. The place was mostly empty the entire time we were there, which wasn’t terrible. The bathroom desperately needed some service; next-to-nothing for soap, the floors looked dingy… I’ve seen better looking bathrooms on the road in the middle of nowhere. The restaurant area itself was clean, with the exception of the flies coming in through the open doors. Overall, I’d recommend it. BUT. Get something other than a burger you can grab over at Carl’s Jr. There’s a reason they call it Crazee Burger; try something out of the norm. Trust me, your taste buds will thank you.

I’ll give this place 3 stars for unique food. Unique food but, not very good food. The burger itself was ok tasting like a basic burger I would make at home and that is the problem. I could make this at home. I could not tell I had ordered a Cajun burger, there really was no extra flavor that suggested I had once it ended up in front of me. I am very curious about the alligator burger that is always on the menu and found the camel burger special very intriguing. I think for the cost of this place the food could be a bit better quality. I got the 1⁄3 lb burger and it basically fell apart in my hands and became a sloppy mess. I won’t be likely to go here again unless with a group of people who suggest it. The atmosphere was decent and the waitstaff ok. My girlfriend felt they were fairly unhappy but, I didn’t notice too much. Other than that I am sad to see a Diners Drive In’s and Dives place is a let down cuz I love that show!

I’ll give them 2 stars for their food cuz it’s not good! Their basic cheeseburger fell apart on first bite. The patty and bun broke into 3 pieces which says the cooks can’t form a patty. Thank god I had a groupon and it cost me less than 15 $ for me and my bf to eat. I will give them one more star for their unique types of meat. If you are a lover of the exotic then come here. I may come back to try more of their more exotic meats but maybe not cuz it honestly wasn’t great for the basic burger and most of their burgers that are exotic are around 15 $. If someone I know really wants to try this place that would be my deciding factor otherwise probably not. Their dining room was med sized and wide open and comfy and the service was ok. The bartender lady who took our order didn’t look particularly giddy to be there so overall I wouldn’t really recco this place to anyone. Oh well worth a shot!

This was my first time eating at this location. I was delighted! The staff was very polite and helpful. Large spacious dining area. The bathroom was so much larger than the other location! Haha! My only complaints: the table we sat at was sticky but not completely dirty. Also, because the numerous doors were wide open, my girlfriend and I had to continually swat away nuisance flies during our entire visit. The woman who took our order even apologized for them, which was nice. Seriously though, other than those two issues, we’ve never had a bad experience at Crazee Burger. Their food is so fresh! Order their FRINGS: Half onion rings, half fries. The seasoning on the fries are so delicious! A must try for everyone!

The burgers here are great. So many to choose from. They are all unique and the flavors really compliment each other. The chef who created these burgers really has a passion for burgers and knows exactly what they are doing. It’s a must try for locals and tourists. Check online for coupons, sites suchas groupon or . The lines can get silly at this location at odd hours being a tourist area. Patience is key. Give the employees a break.

I understand Old Town is mad touristy… but I dont care. I love the vibes there. As for this place, we came here armed with a Groupon… and thats what keeps us coming back!!! Its a rough cycle. Get Groupon… go. get fat… rinse, repeat. Anyway, the burgers are diverse and crafty and go a long way in terms of making sure your satisfied… However it is very easy to eat until you hate yourself if u truly wanted. They have micro beer and a descent selection of it too!!! Get some food, drink beer, and sit on the patio and enjoy the great view of the cemetary… creepy? Also a good spot to do some old fashioned people watching! All in all a good place that I will return to in the future. Enjoy!!!

I work in old town and eat lunch here all the time. Friendly staff, great menu and food, great happy hour prices, and clean. I usually get Kobe sliders since they’re a cheaper item on the menu, but I haven’t had something I didn’t like yet. I do wish they’d add a small side of fries for cheap though.

Waited in line for over 20 minutes just to order. They have one girl working the register and running food. Had a Groupon but due to that, they will not give you the happy hour prices. After ordering I had the pleasure of bussing a table so we could sit down. The food: Sweet potato fries were cold and over cooked. The kangaroo was extremely dry and tasted like cheap ground beef. The gator was dry and tasted like an over cooked turkey burger, the curry sauce was good.(The only reason I can even give this place one star.) Not worth coming here even for the novelty.

I tried this place hoping it would be as good as it looked on Triple D(I am aware this is not the place that was featured on the show). Just like Guy Fieri, I got the Kangaroo burger and the Gator Burger. The Kangaroo burger was extremely dry and slightly burnt. Not so good. The Gator burger was very strange too… white patty but tasted like beef. It was good but not worth writing home about. I don’t know if I would come back here but trying exotic meats in burger form was an interesting experience. I felt like I didn’t really get to taste the actual meat since it was served with buns, toppings, and sauce but maybe that was for the better.

I’d choose in-n-out over this any day. Gator burger was okay, santorini burger was okay. Two order of fries with Parmesan but could have had more Parmesan and garlic flavor. Outside seating was good for the dogs.

Dirty. Terrible. Disappointing. Gross. No thousand island, what? I had such high hopes that came crashing down when we stepped foot not this establishment. Should have gone to 30th street. Jay and our daughter enjoyed their food. He had the turkey burger something and she a hot dog. Glad someone did… I won’t return. Ever.

I’m sad. I was excited to see that Crazee Burger opened up a new location in Old Town. I was surprised to see that the restaurant was almost empty on a Friday night, with only two tables filled. I granted myself a «free» day from my paleo diet, and decided to order a glass of wine. What a treat… not. They have a very limited selection. I tried a couple and settled on a Cab that was served in a glass that had another woman’s lipstick on it. Ewwww. I notified the waitress, she apologized and gave me a new glass. The wine wasn’t very good… it was a disappointment. I was also served a plastic cup of ice water. One of my pet peeve is being served drinks in plastic cups in sit-down restaurants. Plastic is bad. I ordered a #1 burger(grass-fed, organic, antibiotic free, etc., etc.). The menu states that you can order your burger«pink» or «done». I ordered mine«pink». Well, the burger came out done. Sad again. I finished my wine(I pretty much chugged it so that I didn’t have to taste it). I cut through the tough meat with my plastic knife… I ate it, out of respect for the cow that had to die. However, I was not happy. This is a burger joint. Their burgers should KICK A$$. In addition to the above offenses, the bathroom almost made me gag. It smelled awful, the mens’ urinal was full of urine. Eww. Reliving the experience to write this review is making me sad again. But I am doing it for the people. And also, hopefully someone at Crazee burger will read this and make some changes. BTW– the North Park location is WAY better.

First off service was horrible, the girl behind the counter seemed like she didn’t know what she was doing, when they ran out of the crab burger she asked us what we would like to sub it for, we had three orders she disagreed with me and said no you have two, after showing her the receipt she realized she was wrong, come on now, really you are going to disagree with the customer? We also had two orders of fries, only one came, I told her, she was like no you only had one, really lady? never say no or disagree with your customer if I wanted free food I would get something worth it, not the«seasoned fries» that are supposed to be so good but instead are just a basket of frozen crap with fake parm on them and god knows what kind of seasoning because it had no taste. Do not waste your time, go to mcdonalds atleast they have service with a smile.

I went here on a friend’s recommendation. They kept raving about the burgers. So I disregarded all the nasty reviews and stopped in. I am really glad I did. I was surprised at how extensive the menu is and that there are so many exotic meats to choose from. There were 3 of us today and Mimolette my French Bulldog. We sat on the patio for obvious reasons. It was really quiet outside and the day was beautiful so that didn’t hurt. I went inside and brought out a menu for us to choose, and it took a while to decide. I chose the venison burger. It was a little dry, so I wished I had asked for it to be pink, but the condiments on this burger were a great fit. The bacon was PERFECT, the bun super soft and tasty. Hubby chose the wild boar and he wanted to say that he gives this place 5 stars, he LOVES it here. This was his 3rd visit. Our son chose the Aloha Burger and loved it. The grilled pineapple was very tasty. Not so exciting were the side dishes. We ordered the Crazee fries and a baked potato. I seriously have doubts on the«baked» reference to the potato, I am fairly confident it was steamed. It was cooked well, but the condiments for it were tasteless. It was very similar to a watery sour cream with lot’s of dried chives in it. I didn’t enjoy it, but Mimolette loved it. The fries were your average frozen fries with seasoning on them. Not bad, but nothing to get excited about. In my opinion, the advantage of going to Crazee Burgers is that you can taste some exotic meats without the high price tag that other places usually give them. I normally do not address other reviews, but since the reviews have been so nasty and negative I feel the need to say something. The owner is an immigrant from Italy and so there may be a heavy accent, but I understood everything very well and found it quite charming. In fact, I found all the employees charming and helpful. Yes it is an order first restaurant, not a sit down table service place, but HELLO you are in a tourist attraction area, that is a VERY normal set up. If you need table service, go down the street. As for the meat NOT being what they say, SERIOUSLY??? There was a marked difference in the 3 patties we were served today.

This place sucks! We ordered 3 different kinds of burgers(Bison, ostrich, venison)…and they all tasted very close to the same… mostly like bison. The venison was definitely not venison. Maybe all burgers are mixed with ground beef or ground bison… I don’t know but something wasn’t adding up. No way in heaven or hell my ostrich burger was worth $ 14. The sweet potato fries looked like absolute shit… just clumps of overfried precut sweet potato fries sprinkled with some kind of horrible Parmesan seasoning. I thought I was gonna get some real cheese grated on my fries but nooooooooo… some kinda Costco type crap seasoning And there was something eerily strange about this location… it was totally dead! All the other restaurants in old town were packed, this place had our party of 3 and and two others sitting at the bar. The owner(or manager) or someone that appeared to be the owner jumped in the front seat of someone’s car that pulled up in front of the restaurant then we saw him again about 10 minutes later. I’ve been around the block enough times to assume what he was probably picking up. Got shady? I was gonna say the only thing that was worth it was the beer but the Italian chick doing everything at the counter couldn’t pour a beer if her life depended on it. Zero,…literslly zero foam/head on the beer so it looked like flat monkey piss. So even the beer wasn’t worth it. I was seriously pissed I wasted money on this place — even with my amazon local $ 20 bs coupon I paid $ 10 for. There is something really«off» with this place… everything about this place is «off»
