Best option for coffee and lunch at Scripps. I just wish they were open longer and had a better selection of food, but hey, it’s WAY better than the other place to eat on campus. Cash only. The people working there are very friendly, and the view is great!

Hidden away right by the SIO library. This place is where I take my lunch break during work. It has a great atmosphere because its right on this porch type area and you have a great view of the ocean and scripps pier. Gotta love the $ 2 pastries. I personally go with the scones because they are my favorite. They have 5 or 6 different varieties of coffee ranging from chocolatey undertones to the more traditional roasts. The sandwiches here are pretty decent as well. Prices are low and the guy who works here is really friendly. It’s cash only! so bring those greens.

Two words: Sun God. Try it, love it and come back for more.
Not to mention, this coffee cart is next to SIO Library with an amazing patio view of La Jolla Shores and the SIO Pier.
Also, don’t sit under the tree or you will get tree sap in your hair. No lie.
