Fresh, tasty food; friendly service and in a great OB location. This is a family owned business and the owner is very hands-on. It’s great to support locally owned restaurants so if you haven’t tried Daybreak it’s about time!

Absolutely love their breakfast. The banana bread french toast is sensational. My husband loves sweet and I love savory, and this dish is the perfect combination. The bread that they use for it is housemade and works perfectly for french toast. Also, the pulled pork is wonderful. The meat is high quality and they do a great job of preparing it. It’s a highlight both for breakfast and on their lunch menu. I want to try other good-sounding menu items but whenever I’m there I can’t bear not to have the french toast and pork because they have been perfect every time. Note, they now are open earlier, but opening is «Hawaiian time» which means don’t expect punctuality(i.e., don’t show up at 7 a.m.!)

This place was okay, but just be warned that by «freshly squeezed orange juice» they mean«not freshly squeezed at all orange juice product». It might have come out of a giant can with faded label that was left over from the church picnic and has been sitting in the back of a closet for 7 years. Maaaaan I wouldn’t have ordered it if I knew it was gonna be like that. The eggs and potatoes were okay but the fruit salad had crunchy pineapple and watery grapes.

Had the Loco Moco and the burger patty was extremely dry and bland. The texture seemed like it was frozen, thawed and then frozen again. The food definitely isn’t to die for but it’s convenient because it’s right down the alley from us and it’s never really busy.

I have to say I had quite the unique breakfast burrito at this place. Unique that is in a very good way of course. I ordered the Kalua Pork breakfast burrito, but it was not just with Kalua Pork, because it also came with breakfast sausage, scrambled eggs, potatoes, and gravy! Yes, I said gravy. The burrito came tightly wrapped in a toasted warm flour tortilla. The toasting was keen because it held keep the ingredients inside the burrito and gave the tortilla some nice texture. The scrambled eggs inside the burrito were fluffy and well seasoned. The Kalua Pork was very tender and savory. I do not know if they cook it underground, like it is traditional done, but it sure was moist and tender to the touch. The breakfast sausage was typical, but very good, and the gravy was very good. It was not only light in color, but also light in flavor, but had a good creamy texture that found its way around the burrito. If there were anything the burrito needed improvement on, that would be the potatoes. The tasted good, but they were just to soft. They need to find a way to crisp them up and to remain crispy in the burrito. Perhaps if they used crispy hash browns instead, that would work. I say this because the eggs were already soft, so the added crispy texture of the potatoes would of been nice. I ate at the bar and service was friendly there. The burrito came with a small side of house chopped salsa which was good. It did not have much heat, but it had good flavor. The meal cost $ 7 and some change.

I don’t write too many reviews and only write when things are good but had to write it for this place. Disclaimer — just about service and not about food. We came in sun morning and the waitress that was working inside was amazingly rude. She did explain that they had 1 chef so the wait was long but wouldn’t want to take our order. It almost seemed like she wanted us to leave. So after her prompting we did and as I was leaving with my family I noticed that the waitress outside was taking the order from a group that came in after us. Hmmm, either lack of coordination or our waitress didn’t really want my business.

Sorry, I may sound a bit snobby here in this review but I honestly don’t get what anyone likes about this place other than the outdoor patio. The service was not very good at all. I was so thirsty throughout my entire meal, and had to basically get my own water if I wanted something to drink while eating. The food was borderline terrible. It was low grade and I mean maybe a quarter notch past fast food, but for a way longer wait, and much higher price. Completely dissatisfied. Oh and fresh fruit doesn’t mean stuff that was picked a month early at and ripened at Costco. Also, hash browns are grated potatoes, not microwave frozen patties which come out all soggy.

Walked here to try breakfast and wasn’t disappointed. Crab benedict a was very good, a great little patio to bring the did to, and island music to relax to. A quaint and fun neighborhood place with good food.

It was ok. The local moco lacked flavor(be ready to add tons of hot sauce) and the laui pancakes were too much at once to taste any of the ingredients that sounded great individually(macadamia nuts, banana, chocolate chips and coconut flakes). Maybe too much banana and not enough chocolate, but would not have again.

Great breakfast items!!! The eggs benedict(crab & classic), banana bread french toast, biscuits ‘n gravy, & pancakes were all wonderful. The hibiscus(pom & champ) was a delicious change from a traditional mimosa. There was a great little cove for our 3 shepherds to hang while we ate outside. The staff gave them treats… so they got spoiled too. Can’t wait to return!

This place is legit! Awesome service and amazing food. I love they are very pet friendly and even had some snacks for my boy. The eggs Benedict is so on point it’s not even funny. My girlfriend had the banana French toast and it was equally as delicious. Don’t hesitate. Hit this place up.

Came here for brunch one Sunday. My husband and I ordered the loco moco, pulled pork sliders, half stack luau pancakes, and a slice of banana bread. Everything was just ok. It all had decent flavor but was nothing amazing. I will say really liked the taste of their«island BBQ sauce». I would probably go back because of the close proximity to dog beach, which I frequent. But there’s stiff competition from other brunch places in the area.

Great breakfast! The Kona coffee was awesome. Biscuits and gravy plate was divine and the banana bread French toast was decadent. Even the simplest item, the breakfast sandwich was done very well!

Food was mediocre at best. I had to change my order because they ran of out syrup for pancakes. So then I got scrambled eggs and potatoes and the eggs didn’t taste very good. I ate about ¼ of my food because I didn’t like it. Meh.

Typical high carb food choices like pancakes, benedicts, and potatoes… The kind of food you eat when you want to carb load. The service was outstanding, so I’ll probably go back one day.

Good breakfast food, the crab benedict is tasty with avocado and tomato. The coffee was good as well and you get actual half n half. The only mediocre part of our meal was the pancake, beautiful presentation but a little dry. Great service, very friendly.

One of our née favorite places to eat, especially breakfast! I usually order the tropical pancakes that have coconut, banana and chocolate chips… sooo good! Their breakfast sandwiches are tasty too. Great coffee and fantastic service. They are dog friendly and will make your pooch a tasty fresh hot treat if you wish. I think its on their menu. We have been here many times and love that it feels tropical on their patio.

After my fiancé picked me up from the airport, I was grumpy cat and wanted to eat somewhere close by. As accommodating as he was, he is still very indecisive so I used foursquare(I know Unilocal,Im sorry but you just didn’t want to work on my Blackberry that day… yes I said blackberry. go on ahead and hate.) to find something close and I saw Bo’s. Dummy me didn’t notice it opened at 4pm and it was only 1pm. So we came to this little dive across the street. not knowing what to expect they had a fairly good menu with a take on American style breakfast items mixed with a Hawaiian flare. I went for the kalua pork eggs benny and he went for the loco moco. The kalua pork egg benny was delicious. the meat was juicy, the egg was nicely poached and the B sauce was creamy. A nice touch of crispy potatoes on the side. His loco moco was more of a Spanish twist using Spanish rice, a different type of «gravy» and the hamburger patty was seasoned differently. He ate the whole thing so I guess it was good but I didn’t like the flavors myself. Can’t say that I was completely impressed but than again I was really really hungry and when you’re at that state anything taste good.
