De Luca’s

This is kind of a mixed review because they have serious issues with their delivery service. However, this is made up by their absolutely fantastic pizza. Not only can you get it in XXL size,(unheard of in San Diego) its the closest thing I’ve seen in San Diego to traditional New York pizza. Being from NY, its like a taste of home every time we go there. The pizza is not cheap, but it is totally worth it.

We order Eat 24 from this place all the time. It’s great! Authentic Italian food. Good price and quality. The pastas are better than the pizza in our opinion. We usually get the gnocchi and fettuccine alfredo, both come with a salad and garlic bread

The pizza was edible but the crust was not tasty. I ate 1 ½ slices of my large pizza and tossed the rest in the trash. If they improved the crust this pizza would be awesome.

A friend and I ducked into this little place while walking around north park, the service was amazingly quick considering we were walk ins. The food is STELLAR. I love it, and my friend claims she hasn’t had Gnocchi this good since her trip to Italy. All in all an amazing place. ¹⁰⁄₁₀.

This place used to have awesome pizza but as of late this place has made sure that every time I order from them I regret it. Tonight however is especially frustrating, nearly spent 40 dollars. the spaghetti was just tomato water with shittyt noodles. the wings were absurdly disgusting in every way… they were undercooked just sitting in what looked like hot sauce water and they tasted like trash. and the pizza the basis of what they do there was fuked and burnt… order from them if you want but I certainly won’t be unless I get my money back… them charging me that money for what I received could be looked at as an insult …

Horrible service and gave me wrong order and when I tried to call to get the right pizza I was hung up on. By the way the pizza they did give me was cold and discussing looking

I ate a little snack, they finally delivered around 850 after they delivered to the wrong address. I wish I could stay mad, the food was really good and they gave me a cheesecake and a chocolate cake after messing up so bad.
Also the food is effing good. So good. It might be because I was starving before, or it might be because the food is bomb. I’m not going to risk another 2 hours delivery time to find out.
Maybe I’ll go in next time

Food is good but this is the second time I’ve placed an order and they got my drink wrong. Ordered a root beer and received a cream soda.

This place is great. Their pizza is extremely good and the staff is very friendly; authentic Italian restaurant. Will definitely be using them for my pizza go to. The mozzarella sticks are homemade and tast amazing.

Excellent menu, homey feeling. Strange pizza topping selections made right, especially the pesto/​shrimp/​tomato combination! They deliver, the neighborhood is cute, and the restaurant itself is simple and inviting.

The delivery time was quoted at 45 – 60 mins. I live less than a mile away and they showed up after over an hour and a half. This resulted in a cold pizza and soggy wings.

Delicious!!! Try the cheese steak or meatball sub. Very friendly, helpful staff, and clean kitchen! Reasonably priced and large portions. 100% satisfied

Never eaten here because the two times we tried the customer service was atrocious. This is unfortunate because we live 2 blocks away and eat a lot of pizza. Went in person first time, the only ones in the place, after 7 minutes we gave up trying to order because we were totally ignored. Tonight, a few weeks later, we called to order a pizza. We asked how much it would be, the person on the phone said $ 18, we asked about doing half and half toppings, he hung up.
Two tries to order from here and never again. 2 stars to be fair because never actually tried the food, service is worth 0 stars.

Just terrible! We could of ordered from Pizza Hut and gotten better pizza. Food was 30 minutes late and cold! And when we tried to tell the delivery guy that he just ran off. Tried calling to complain and no answer! Will never order again.

With Lefty’s Pizza and Luigi’s PIzza both about a mile away, it’s hard for a North Park or South Park Pizzeria to stand out.
The simple fact is that the pizza is OK, not great.
In addition, De Luca’s sells by the slice — but doesn’t PREPARE to sell by the slice. I.e., there is no area of prepared pizza slices like Luigis, Leftys, or Bronx. So when you order by the slice, be prepared to wait 10 minutes for your slice.

I’m not sure, but I’m half-​way through my delivery pizza from DeLucas and this just might be the best pizza I’ve ever had in my life. I ordered a large pizza… Rome Specialty — with garlic sauce instead of traditional red pizza sauce — and mushrooms, artichoke hearts, and a ridiculous amount of mozzarella and ricotta cheese. I’m speechless. If you love cheese, do this now. Do it!

My boyfriend and I called to place an order, asked about which vegetarian dish the guy who answered would recommend. He said «We don’t have any of those.» So I said, «It looks like you have salads, and many pastas and pizzas, can any of those be made vegetarian?» he said, «yea I’m not vegetarian so I don’t know.» and hung up. I called back to ask his name, he told me it was Michael, and then I asked if he was an owner, he said «Why?» and I said, «because of customer service.» He then said «I don’t care» and HUNG UP ON ME. Seriously Michael??! We were about to give you service. Never going here.

This place has amazing sauce! The calzones are just like Boston east coast real calzones! Run to this place it’s amazing and they deliver so it makes it even better

The most horrible horrible foul service I have EVER HAD IN MY LIFE! I ordered on kine. 2 pizzas, lasagna and spaghetti. An hour and a half later still no food. I tried to call a young man answers the phone. * my voice is extremely horse because I’m sick) I tried asking him it then food was on its way… he couldn’t understand me (again my voice is very horse) another man gets on the phone, I try asking him if my food is on its way, he yells at me saying CALM DOWN ! I WON’T TALK TO YOU UNLESS YOU ACT LIKE AN ADULT. I am sick in bed with a very hungry 7 year old boy we have now been waiting an hour and 45 minutes.
The man on the phone continues to yell at me and the whole time I’m just trying to say: sir. my voice is very horse, I’m just trying to figure out if my food is coming?” After 30 minutes if this abuse, I ordered from pizanos, another fantastic italian restaurant in my neighborhood (the only reason why I didn’t order from them is because they didn’t delivered and again I am sick) this asshole hung up on me 4 times. Charged my credit card and sent the wrong order 2 hours later.
I will NEVER order from them again. I will tell everyone about the horrible service I received, I am in the beauty industry. Guaranteed I will be telling every client that gets in my chair about this.

First off. I really want to give them a 4.5 stars. Owner (s) and manager (s) you do a really good job! I cannot give you 5 stars because your store has little parking and only a limited dining area. Otherwise, great job! I have had 5 deliverys and 2 pick ups from them. All being pizza. Perfect everytime. Delivery takes longer than the big chains, but it’s worth it. This is a mom and pop for the most part and they need the extra time.
What ever they charge you, pay it and be happy, your getting quality from them. Prices are moderatly more than other places. If you pick up, you may need to park in the alley with the flashers on.
Not a place to bring a group of people due to the small dining area. You could, but don’t recommend. If your not just down the street, order take out or delivery. Very little parking.
SAFE area to be in. I left my door unlocked while going in.
Customer service is very good.
