my man’s girl got a side of fruit, and he got a side of season fries. I’m on my 6th pancake and all is good rn.

Good food is rarely so inexpensive. This can be said of any Denny’s but the service here is actually great and was a better alternative than some fast food places in the area.

Ok hear me out I know what to expect when I go to Denny’s. It’s not a five star restaurant and everyone knows that; however, this is the worst Denny’s I’ve been to in San Diego. Let me start with saying I came here a couple mornings in a row after the gym. They always have that special(seasonal) menu well that menu had chicken Apple sausage on it. I want to add that to my plate but she came out with regular sausage patties. Now we all know them chicken sausage never comes in patty form. So I told her this is not sausage so she took it back and bring back to me real sausage(still not chicken) at this point I’m like w/e for get it. Next day I come I order the same add that chicken sausage to my meal. She brings regular sausage and I repeat first process as last time but finally she did give me a chicken sausage . Now finally I go back and give this place a last chance. Order same thing like ok they should have this right now. Boy was I wrong this waiter tells me she don’t know how to ring it up for me to get the chicken sausage. If I want that I have to give her my bacon and she will give me that I’m like no I want this bacon and sausage what do you mean you can’t ring it up. I than ask for manager who fixed the problem. However there was a broccoli in my scramble eggs and potato. So disappointed I never even mention nothing else to them. Sorry wasn’t think took the pictures on snapchat and didn’t save them !!!

Over the course of my repast, Susan performed exemplary in her role as our Server, bringing endless delights to me and my dinner guests. Praline pancakes left my friend speechless… for nearly 84 seconds. Kevin remarked that his orange juice reinvigorated his spirits — he sets sail for the horn of Africa on the morrow, now grateful for his new found constitution. Myself, I found solace in two handsome biscuits suited splendidly in a rich turkey gravy which harkened to my grandmother palatial estate in Aix-en-Provonce . Erik stole my heart

Typical Denny’s food. Nice people, quick service. Ok breakfast place if you can eat your food before the flies get it first.

What can I say about the fine folks that work at this establishment. They kept me and the squad constantly fueled for what proved to be a wedding weekend for the ages. Whether it was the very late night emergency to-go order placed to keep the bridesmaids at full steam while helping with last minute details, to the pit stop on the way out of town to soak up the«last hurrah’s» libations, the folks here are warm and welcoming and always ready with a cup of hot coffee and a fully loaded plate to cure what ails you. Denny’s may not always be my first choice for food, but the staff at this location kept us coming back for more!

One of my favorite so far. Got welcomed with a smile, the server came to get our order right away, the food came super fast! The food tasted great as well. I am not from here but I would come here all the time if I lived near by :) oh and it was very clean as well. Great job Susan!

I drive past the Dennys in my area to come to this one. Great for last night food. Usually decent enough service. Dennys isn’t really quality food ever but it’s pretty great if you’re only ever eating here late at night, like I do. I think the waiters and waitresses are friendly enough.

Veggie omelette was ok but will hit the spot. Toasts are ok too altho the lady said that there were problems with toaster so it took forever for them to arrive at out table . Coffee refills are prompt. Prices ok. Flies galore by the counters.

I love Denny’s but this one is really different from any other I’ve been to. First off there is flys everywhere! I do mean everywhere. I almost walked out even before they came to take our drink order but I had just came from balboa park with he kids and they were really hungry so we stayed. I asked about the fly situation and all they said was«it is what it is» The service was really bad we had to ask for refills when we needed them. I’m so glad this was not my local Denny’s. I got to remember not to come to this one in the future.

I hate to give any Denny’s 2 stars, but… This Denny’s looks like it used to be a standard diner before they converted it. Not sure the history of this location, but that’s what it looked like. Everything is pretty standard Denny’s and I’ve never had an issue with any Denny’s for that matter. I ordered the Lumberjack Slam(the same breakfast I ordered the entire week anytime I went to a Denny’s). The eggs were undercooked, the sausage tasted like it was a day old, and the pancakes tasted like they were unfrozen and put in a microwave. The bacon was actually pretty good. The home fries were… ok. There were several flies inside this location and at least 2 swarmed us as we were trying to eat, which was annoying. I know they can’t control insects, but seriously this was a little much. I don’t eat outdoors for that very reason, but here I was trying to swat away flies in between my bites for the entire meal. There was ample enough parking in the rear. The waitress was friendly. For those tempted by that scam claw machine in the front — don’t. I usually try them once, but this one is a ripoff. So even though it looks like an easy scoop and grab, don’t waste your money here. So as much as I don’t like to give any Denny’s 2 stars, here it is. I expected better really. It’s a shame.

Denny’s will be Denny’s! But this one was good because the service was on point and the food came out quickly. I ordered the ultimate omelette which had sausage, bacon, bell peppers, onions and mushrooms with some cheese. It was great but I just wished I ordered it without bell peppers in it(not a fan). My boyfriend ordered the value slam($ 4) and the server allowed us to replace the egg with hash browns! Yay. Overall, the food was good and service was friendly.

After a night of partying in DT my friend and I wanted to relive the night we ate at Denny’s in Vegas… So our Über driver(Nelson who is also my friend and gives us free rides lol) took us here. I almost always get the American grand slam. But since I only wanted coffee my friend and I split an order of banana walnut pancakes with egg whites and ham. First time I ever tried their pancakes. It wasn’t bad at all. Taste just like it sounds. I don’t recall the pancakes having fresh bananas on them I think the batter was flavored banana with actual crushed walnuts in them. Although we didn’t finish out food, Nelson joined us after a finishing up a couple of his Über trips and he enjoyed the pancakes and eggs. Their service was blah. Late at night I didn’t pay much attention. We did get our order on time, along with water and coffee. First time at this specific Denny’s and the diner set up reminded me much of the 50’s.

Came here for breakfast the waiter was great, very friendly and attentive. The area around the Denny’s is very sketchy especially early in the morning hours. Food was good a little to heavy on the cheese in the ham & cheese omelette, but it was good. As we ate a lovely crossed dressed hooker came in after a long days work to enjoy some breakfast as well … Definitely a great people watching place.

Very good service, food is always quick and the wait staff is sweet. You know what to expect when you go to a Denny’s. I’ll admit something like The Mission is going to have better good but for the price and typical standards of American breakfast you know what Denny’s will give you. Besides, not much else is open for your post binge drinking needs.

DISCLAIMER: The only time I would ever go to a Denny’s is for drunk munchies after the bars close, so that is the context in which this review is written. I have never been here during daylight(or overly sober) hours, but I assume my rating would not be so high if that were the basis of my review. This place is a Z-O-O after hours, stuffed full of after-parties from nearly every scene in town.(Even more-so now that Brian’s has closed.) You’ve got your hipsters, your goths, your drag queens, your sports bar guys, your scenesters, your local drunk old guys, and pretty much every other niche of nightlife you can think of. and you’ve got a surprisingly competent and friendly staff managing to get everyone in and fed. Of course, at 2am on a Saturday night after(a true lady wouldn’t say how many) cocktails my taste buds aren’t fully operational and my pallet is not in its most discerning state. Things like«OMG this is the crunchiest onion ring I have ever tasted» and«Look at alllll the different dipping sauces and allll the extra ranch the server brought for me» will blow my mind. And blown it has been, more times than I would like to admit. Understanding the circumstances in which I’ve always dined here, it can easily be guessed that I gravitate toward the fried foods. And they have always been fried to crispy greasy golden perfection. The boyfriend, by some anomaly inexplicable by the laws of nature, actually ordered something non-fried last time I was here — I think it was the spaghetti and meatballs? — and that, too was a divine treat to drunken taste buds. Okay so I’ve prattled on quite a bit about how good their food is when drunk — big deal that can be said for lots of mediocre food… But in all seriousness: I’ve always been super impressed with the staff’s ability to deal with a roomful of intoxicated people in such a timely, friendly, and organized manner. Props to the late night weekend crew for sacrificing what I’m sure is not a small bit of their sanity to feed the hungry drunks.
