One of the best carne Assada taco combos I’ve had in town. Free carrots and fast service.

Good special, two fish tacos rice and beans $ 4.99! The carne asada fries were just as good as any«bertos» in the neighborhood. And no beans added to them to take up space, I’m impressed.

I wish I can give this place a zero. I came at 10pm the lady said we are closed. Okay your hours say 11pm. She shrugged her arms and said oh well.

Not necessarily the best burritos though it’s a quick fix if you’re in the area and looking to grab yourself a simple carne asada or Cali burrito. If you’re looking for that wow factor, there are plenty of other tacos shops within a 5 mile radius with much better burritos! Kudos for having self serve carrots though(too many places charge for this now, when it should be free).

Burrito Superior Carne asada was huge and tasty. Not a huge selection of drinks. 30 cent charge on debit card. Good for a quick lunch.

I lived close to this place so I decided to give it a try. Got a carne asada fries and their Fairmount’s burrito. Both tasted very plain and I can’t used their salsa bar either because the stuff there looks so old and not clean. Not recommended.

Yum! This place is tasty, especially the supreme fries and supreme nachos. Meat is perfectly seasoned, refried beans are flavorful, toppings are plentiful and fries were still crispy when I got them home. There’s ample parking in the back and food comes out promptly. And it’s very reasonably priced. If it weren’t for the calories, I’d eat here all the time.

I decided to try this place since I live near by and boy was I glad that I did! I ordered supreme nachos which had three kinds of protein(pollo, carne and adobada) with lettuce, beans, pico de gallo, sourcream, and guacamole. did i mention it was cheap! They had a little place where you could get what ever salsa you wanted and they had pickled carrots. I mean, why not right? I conveniently grabbed a few salsas and some carrots while waiting. It ended up being delicious, I have yet to find another place which has supreme nachos like these, it was a perfect amount of everything(proteins to veggies and etc). no drive thru, but hey, worth.

I Unilocaled taco shop and saw this spot with 4 and a half stars and I had to check it out. The tacos are okay but a decent price at $ 1.99 each. Tacos were a little thin. The hot sauce is plain and isn’t spicy… Not a bad place but I wouldn’t say worth 4 and a half stars for this spot.

My Pats Plate was delicious, but my partner’s plate was sad. The«burrito» that came with the plate was the size of a rolled taco, the cheese in his enchilada wasn’t melted at all and the sauce had this strange, teriyaki-like flavor.

Glad we took the chance and checked this place out based on their Unilocal reviews. The Fairmont rolled tacos and burritos were delicious. The service was fast considering their was only two employees working there and 7 people in front of us 5:30 on a Sunday afternoon. Check it out :).

I’m so glad they opened a taco shop near Monroe Clark Middle School and Hamilton Elementary School! I disliked going all the way to El Cajon boulevard for some good Mexican food. This is my new Mexican food joint! I’ve been to almost every Mexican taco shop in City Heights, and this is my favorite. The prices are cheap for what you purchase, and you can add some goodies with their salsa bar. Their salsa bar is what drew me in because they have three different types of salsa: spicy, sour, and mild. Not only that, they have pickled carrots! You’ll be stuffed from their big burritos and fries. The best deal you can get from this place is to get their monster fries! They give you all 3 meats(carne, pollo, adobada) with beans, lettuce, rice, pico, sour cream, and guac all on top of your fries. Their service is pretty good, they give you your food fairly quickly. I never sit in to eat so I can’t say how their ambiance is. However, it is connected to a liquor store where you can go buy some drinks or snacks to go along with your food. If you like Mexican food, definitely check this place out. It’s definitely one of the better taco shops in City Heights.

I have my print shop down the street so I frequent this place on the reg. On one hand, i’m playing on convenience, but on the other, I keep on returning for the food. I’m a fan of the adobada tacos, which are pretty sizeable compared to other shops and have plenty of flavor. Just two of those and im good to go. Love the assortment of salas they offer too. If i’m not in the mood for adobada the two fish taco combo(with rice and beans) is another favorite. The taos fill me up so i’m never left hungry. Outside of the good quality food, the customer service is amazing. I’m always greeted with a smile and my food is ready to go in a matter of minutes, which works for me since time is always of the essence… cheers,

Gotta represent my taco shop just around the corner from my house! So far everything Ive tried is yummy. My personal fav. Is the fairmont rolled tacos. Carne asada on top of rolled tacos!?! Really?! It doesnt get better then that. Second choice would be the dos primos burrito. Just a perfect combo that melts in your mouth. Yummmy. =D

It’s often loud in here, which I don’t mind. Their burrito with carne asada, rice, guacamole and the works is bomb. It’s $ 6 or so, but large enough to be worth it. They’re also open till 11. Win.

These guys keep getting better every day. Dos Primos is the first restaurant to open on Poplar Street in over 10 years. My spouse and I tried them out on opening day, but weren’t impressed(star rating would have been pushing one star). A few months later and Dos Primos has hit a solid 5 star rating. A localized menu with my new favorite the Fairmount burrito is a nice touch and the burrito is the BOMB! I’m looking for Poplar Jalapeño Poppers next, :) A big thanks to the cousins for bringing a quality business with a cool localized menu to the neighborhood.

I live close in the area(just down the street) and was excited to promote and try out a this new shop. I’m happy I did. The shop is very small and is actually connected to the next door mexican market and Carniceria. The men that work there are very nice and smiling as much as possible. Their menu is great. They have the san diego necessities ie CARNEASADAFRIESANDCARNEASADANACHOSNOM!!! I ask for extra cheese though because they can skimp a little bit… I really like that they’ve come up with the ‘Fairmount Burrito’ and ‘Fairmount Fries’ which is named after one of the jugular street of City Heights… And the Fairmount items are as diverse as the neighborhood. Carne asada, Pollo asada, and Adobada with a ton of toppings. The burrito is personally my favorite. I can only eat about half of it and it’s a great re-heat breakfast item. The kids meals are SUPERKIDFRIENDLY and just as cheap. My son always orders the mini bean cheese burrito which comes with rice and beans. It’s about $ 2.49. that’s uh, amazing… CONCLUSION this place is great and it’s a wonderful local business to support. Ask for extra cheese and live a happy life.
