I still dream of their California burritos. Not a fan of greasy Mexican food in SD as a whole, but YES. Thank you for your greatness even if you’ll never read this.

All the glowing reviews before are spot on, this is some of the best food you can get anywhere, period. It can now be found on Heritage Rd, next to Brown Field in San Ysidro. Quite a drive from the previous location but still worth it.

Mourning the loss of the best carnitas tacos in San Diego, and quite possibly all of California. Desperately seeking El Jefe. Dean P and Mindy, I feel your pain. Cat, on your recommendation I drove to El Cajon and 38th. Saw the hookers, and the dope slingers, but sadly No Tacos. Are you sure it was the legendary and elusive El Jefe? Anyone know the current whereabouts of this wonderful cart? Was it all just a dream? a deliciously marinated and grilled pork dream?

Really good, quick, and cheap tacos and what not. Only 4 stars just because I’ve had a few better tacos not to put this Stan down at all.

If you’re afraid to purchase food from a taco truck then don’t read on. Or, perhaps you should as this review is positive. There’s a tack truck that comes to the corner of Balboa and Clairemont called El Jefesito #3. My amigo makes a delicious street taco. I prefer their carne asada and always request the grilled onions and fresh jalapenos. While you wait for your fresh hot tacos, they provide you with a cup of bean soup — warming and scrumptious. I encourage you all to swing by for a bite.
