I had a VBAC nine days ago and Allison was such a big help! I have a low tolerance for pain, but still wanted an unmedicated birth and Allison helped me achieve that. I called her in the morning and to let her know I was having contractions. I told her no rush to head over because it would probably still be a while. Well, she knows better than me! She headed over anyway and I was so glad because things got intense really fast! She got me through each contraction and guided me throughout the pushing. She’s also a vey nice, caring, and easy to talk to woman. She blended right in with my sister(who she hadn’t met previously) and my husband. The four of us made a good team!

My husband and I chose to have Allison help us with the preparation and delivery of our newest daughter this August. Allison was professional, knowledgeable and caring. She met with us earlier in our pregnancy to discuss our birthing plan and preferences. She also tough us a few techniques to incorporate at home to help with early contractions. On the day of delivery she was available at a moments notice. I went into labor around 11 pm and headed to the hospital at 1 am. She offered to meet us in our home or at the hospital, whatever we were more comfortable with. Once we were admitted to the hospital, Allison worked alongside the hospital staff to ensure that my family and I were comfortable and well taken care of. During some of my tough contractions, she helped by using massage and pressure techniques along with cooling towels. Allison has a loving and gentle presence that really helped in keeping me grounded and calm during my labor. She kept in contact with us after the birth of our child and has been available even after our delivery to answer questions and concerns. I would recommend her Doula services to women and families who are looking for helpful support with labor and delivery.
