It sounds like he may not be there anymore? If so, i update my rating for Espresso Too taking care of their Customers. I am sorry if the young man was untrainable. Here’s the message JS sent me: You’re Funny 5÷14÷2014 J S. San Diego, CA For your review of: Espresso Too Welllllllll, let’s see here. Ummm yea you suck and you’re old and senile. A woman who can’t remember her drink. No one single employee has ever seen you. The proper steps were taking. 100 against 1. Your review is misleading and incorrect. You did me a favor. I hope you enjoy your coffee the past 20 years! Enjoy the last 3 months. Approve Delete Block User

Best Coffee at the Naval Hospital!!! Which is why there’s ALWAYS a long line at this place.

Go to here! Being one of only two«gourmet» coffee options on campus, Espresso Too doesn’t HAVE to be good. But its coffees and pastries are delicious, its staff goes above and beyond with smiles on their faces, and service is admirably speedy. Compare to Happy Joe Lucky, where my order of an iced soy latte confused the baristas(yes, all of them), and the barista making my drink said — in perfect Valley Girl — to the barista who rang up my order«You know what? I TOTALLY gave that last guy REGULAR milk — not soy!» Espresso Too’s coffee is great, but it’s the service that really sets them apart. Really. Go to here!

Their pastries are not from Costco, but rather from a small bakery(forgot the name already) that are delivered fresh every morning. I had a regular soy chai latte today and it tasted exactly like pumpkin pie! amaze balls!!!

This small coffee stand has been at the NMCSD courtyard for a number of years now, but I decided to review them in due part to the handwritten ad asking us to Unilocal about them on the coffee cup sleeves(yes, it’s true!). Normally, if I feel the urge for a cup of Joe, I head over to the galley. But, if I want something that doesn’t have me bouncing off the walls and with a bit more flavor, then Espresso Too’s the place to go. The place is always busy in the mornings; I’ve seen the line be about 10 – 12 people deep at times. But, for a small stand, the baristas do an excellent job carrying out the orders, and they have great personalities as well. The coffee drinks are up to par — my almond latte was great, and I like the caramel macchiatos here as well. There’s also a frequent buyer card here — buy any 9 drinks, and get one free. Can’t beat that! Espresso Too also offers up breakfast burritos and various breads and snacks. It’s been a while since I’ve had one of the burritos, so perhaps a trip back here may be in order(even if the signage is a bit misspelled — it’s «potato,» not«potatoe»). Overall, for a small coffee stand, they’ve got a big clientele that they keep happy. If any of my fellow Unilocalers head out to NMCSD, give them a shot sometime!

This is the best coffee, hands down in San Diego! I’m not just saying that cause they are in the courtyard of NMCSD right across from my office. They are bombarded with business everyday and they are already making your coffee drink by the time you get to the counter(know the regulars, and are totally friendly). awesome Awesome AWESOME!
