The get a 4 star because of the lack(or refusal) of deadlifting on weekdays due to the offices underneath. Had to move my lifting to the weekends. Everything else is great… Well, aside from the small sauna, which I no longer use. It’s on a military base, hence it’s not open to the general public.

I love working out at the Navy gym! It’s rarely crowded so I don’t have to worry about looking foolish if I get tangled up in a machine or can’t lift very much, and I never have to wait. They have those new fancy treadmills that have a very steep incline so you can really feel the burn while you gasp for air like a dying trout(I’m giving you a great impression of my overall health, here). The staff is friendly and it’s clean. I haven’t tried the pool yet because a.) I have a fear of swimming in people soup i.e. public pools and b.) I hate swimming laps and I don’t know if my brand of water aerobics is acceptable now that I am no longer twelve.

Solid gym with a lot of precor and free weights for you to use to get your workout on. Don’t have too much of an interaction with staff other than signing in. I guess that’s a good thing that you aren’t bothered while working out. The sauna is always working, unlike other base gyms. That is a huge thing for a lot of people to be able to sit and enjoy the dry heat of a sauna after a work out. It doesn’t open early on weekends so ensure to review their operating hours.

Good place to work out. There is always space on the treadmills :)
