This place is good for Mexican food in a pinch. The portions are generous and the employees are always friendly and helpful. Best part of this chain. the food always tastes fresh.

This place used to be good when it was MXN, was kept clean and now that its changed names to AH-JIJO?1 its kept unlcean –same menu and food, but not fun to eat in there anymore, floors sticky mess, carrots not stocked. will be doing drive thru only now. I will say their fish tacos are better then Rubios by a mile.

An ok place to get Mexican food. Not a big fan of their food. I am not sure why but it does not taste that good to me. Service was ok. It was fast and friendly.

Dear MXN, please do not call my French fry burritos a California burrito. I do not like paying $ 7 for some greasy cheese fries. The up side: good tortilla and hot carrots. Unfortunately this is not enough upside to tempt me to return. Friendly service but I go to a taco shop for the food.

Used to frequent Santana’s in Point Loma and since it has become MXN the quality has remained and gotten better. Food is delicious and the cashiers and cooks are always kind and considerate throughout the day and night. Recommend hitting this place up and all MXN and related company restaurants.

Wow. I just got done eating a scrumptous Carne Asada and Carnitas Burrito… my first time eating here and Im already a fan. I dont get these poor reviews, either people like really over-priced burritos(Cotixan, El Patron), or they dont appreciate fresh ingredients and thin tortillas. This place will now be my usual.

Were things a little different, I’d be giving Fresh MXN five stars. The food is good and the people are nice. That’s the reason that since moving to Mira Mesa five years ago, I’ve been a regular customer … and a generous tipper! But the last two times I’ve ordered here, I’ve paid extra for guacamole that wasn’t included. Because I live several miles away, I didn’t want to drive all the way back for them to get my order correct. When I went in today, I told the guy behind the counter about my last two visits and respectfully inquired as to whether, in the future, I should unwrap all my food to see if they got the order correct. He shrugged his shoulders and said he didn’t know. I placed my order and saw he was charging me for the guacamole that I hadn’t received on the past two occasions. I cancelled my order and left. So for the cost of a spoonful of guacamole(which I’ve already paid for twice), Fresh MXN has not only lost a regular customer, now they’re getting bad publicity. There is no shortage of taco shops in San Diego so if you’ve got a hankering for a good taco or burrito, keep looking. The respect and loyalty with which I’ve treated this establishment over the last several years is not something they feel like returning.

My first burrito in Cali was the la Paz at Santana’s in mission beach. The name changed to fresh mxn food a few years later and now the one in mission beach turned into a Starbucks. good thing there is one in Mira because it’s still the best surf and turf burrito out there.

I know! I’m weird! People don’t seem to like this place but to me, they have my most favorite burrito in the whole wide world. Their surf and turf burrito cannot be beat anywhere! Love the taste! And you get a drink with it. I only go here rarely, but when I do, I treat myself to the surf and turf burrito which is filled with luscious carne asada and scrumptious shrimp! the sauce is heaven and I always get an horchata with it. Always. Try it and you would rate this place 5 stars also!

Not the best of taco shops, but I do enjoy their fries. I have tried their cali burrito, fish burrito, rolled tacos, carne asada tacos and their carne asada chips/fries. The cali burrito doesn’t come with sour cream or guac, so after adding it, you will end up paying $ 10 for a burrito. I used to like eating here but the quality and flavor of the food here has gone downhill.

My husband brought me to this place and it’s the bomb. I am a very picky mexican person because I know how real Mexican food tastes like and this place is good. I got achiote fries, plain quesadilla, and horchata water. Really clean place and nice customer service :)

Great food! Love their Salsa Ranchera, it so delicious. Like the green onions grilled with salt, pepper, and lemon. It’s more of an Americanized or Tex-Mex style. Great food though.

Best Mexican food around… Period :) The shrimp burrito with the ranchera salsa is the best 3am food possible!

I seriously go out of my way to get carne asada fries from here when I’m in Mira Mesa. The fries are cut and fried from actual potatoes. You won’t get that stale previously frozen taste from the French fries here. I always ask for no beans as a personal preference. Altogether, the fries are well balanced with the fresh guac and pico. I wish they’d use flat to-go boxes and plates. They use styrofoam with the space cut out for 2 sides and a main dish. Seems like a way for them to control smaller portions. The service has vastly improved. I haven’t run into anyone remotely rude since the last review.

Try the La Paz burrito or the machaca tacos! This is one of the only Mexican food places to serve potato tacos after 1am in the area and for that reason I like to come here, plus they serve these tiny machaca tacos with an amazing cheese sauce AND bottled coke. Doesn’t get any better than that at drunk o’clock. Every once in a while the food isn’t prepared well but for the most part, it always hits the spot specially after a long 12hr shift. This fast food Mexican restaurant hasn’t failed me yet, their customer service is always great and they have a large parking area in case you decide to dine in.

I needed a quick bite after the post office and decided to go for drive-thru. I ordered the Carne Asada burrito and it was delicious! Generous helping of toppings and I thought the portion size was perfect. A little pricier than I anticipated, but the service was incredibly fast.

And on the seventh day, MXN created God. Yes that’s how the Bible was actually written before man altered it and took out MXN. They say perfection does not exist. But to a man who says such a thing I say«order some carne asada fries» then repent your blasphemies. understand this is no mere review. This is adoration… Ia MXN Ia Adobada Ia Potato Tacos MXNDC for eternity. *DC = death cult
