Best roast beef sandwich with Arby sauce and horsey sauce. Add cheese and it tastes even better.

I love Arby’s, however, the staff at this chain was not the most welcoming. I love Arby’s curly fries, Arby’s sauce, Arby’s new crème brûlée shake; all of the food I have had at Arby’s has always been very good. The issue I have with this specific Arby’s is not the products in which it sells, it is the staff it employs. I went in for lunch today and there was two people manning the registers, one was a normal employee and the other seemed to be the manager. The register I ended up at was with the regular employee, he was having a hard time typing in my order and said«Shit» when he messed up and had to put it in again. This took me aback. I do not believe one should ever curse while working, and especially never during a customer service job with the customer right in front of you. My order was mozzarella sticks, jalapeño bites, curly fries, extra ranch dressing(which is now an extra 22cents per ranch packet), and the crème brûlée shake. I have no complaints about the food. However, it took the employees 20 minutes to give me my food. It takes 7 minutes to fry each item(I worked as a line cook for years), and I watched the manager stand there and talk with employees and not bag up my food. A customer even had to clear his throat for the employees to turn around and take his order. Lastly, as I was getting my food, I asked for the ranch I had paid for and the manager tried to have me pay for it a second time. I do not believe the employees at this Arby’s give anywhere close to good customer service.

Really guys… 2.5 stars? How can you hate on Arby’s?! They’ve done for the roast beef sandwich what McDonald’s has done for the burger. What taco bell has done to the taco. What Subway has done to the sub. Long story short is that they’ve created a new form of food, a hybrid if you will and it’s set a fast food standard. A bun and some shaved«beef» has never been more oddly delicious, simple and affordable. Granted inflation has taken its toll on the simple roast beef sandy, which once rang in at 5 for $ 5.00 and now sells for $ 9.99. Well listen here, friends, that’s just confirmation that we were once stealing what we are now paying a more than fair price for. Nothing has changed at this location and it’s still as ghetto-chic as ever — sans one star for a lack of drive-thru. Oh yeah, don’t mess with that Arby’s sauce… horsey all the way.

I don’t eat Arby’s much since they don’t have any chains in San Francisco(at least not near me). So when I moved to San Diego I opted to give Arby’s restaurant a try. They don’t have a drive thru, which is perfect since I’m not lazy and I enjoy ordering my food standing face to face with the cashier and eating in the restaurant. The place is a bit aged but it is extremely clean for its’s time. The tables are clean and wiped down. Upon entrance I was greeted with a bright«Hi, Welcome to Arby’s»! I ended up ordering the French dip with au jus sauce and some curly fries. As I payed for my transaction, one of the employees asked if I would mind waiting for a few extra minutes for fresh fries. Fresh fries? Who wouldn’t wait a few more extra minutes for fresh food! The cashier also asked for my name as they we’re calling orders by name, not by number which is always nice. On to the food! The French dip I received had nice toasty bread with melted cheese oozing from the sides. It was packaged in a cardboard container. The au jus sauce was hot and the curly fries came out nice and golden. The sandwich was tasty and well made. I was shocked to find this quality at a fast food chain. One of the employees came around checking up on how my meal was. Which was nice because fast-food restaurants never do this. The cool thing was that they have this little bell to ring if the service was exceptional. The service was more than exceptional. So I rang that bell so loud that people would think mass is in session. Thanks Arby’s for the great service.

I love Arby’s but this location was absolutely disgusting! First, my fries were brown even though they made a brand new batch. It looked as if the frying oil had not been changed in weeks. Even the cashier commented on the oil and agreed that it should be changed, but his manager would not change it. Additionally, I ordered a dessert and they could not get the ice cream machine to work. I sat and watched the poor cashier take a solid 8 minutes to try to get the machine to work. That much time is long in fast-food restaurant minutes. Last, but not least, there was food on the floor which needed to be cleaned up. I think it’s time the health inspector made a visit.

Its nothing special but I like Arbys, and this location has really good service; im usually in and out in a matter of minutes and everyones pretty nice. I dont stick around to dine in so cant really comment on the cleanliness other than what I see when im there waiting for my food. Pretty standard operation.

I enjoy Arby’s restaurants, but this location just feels kind of sad and uninviting. It isn’t unclean, but it just presents as kind of «warn out.» I will admit, the lack of a drive thru window has turned me away in the past, even when I’ve been craving a Beef N Cheddar sammy, due to the added inconvenience. Whenever I’ve eaten here in the past year or so, it hasn’t been as tasty as other locations, which stinks since this is the one closest to me. Plus, I heard a rumor they may close here?!? Don’t know how much they will be missed if that is true, but Arby’s sure seem to be fewer and far between these days…

It takes a lot to motivate me to do a review on a fast food joint because I just don’t give a shit about them. They’re a necessary evil. This Arby’s used to be great. Now it’s owned by a cheap, not-so-bright person as evidenced by their recent signage addition to the austere counter advising would-be beefeaters of the various additional compensation they demand for their sauces, «because we aren’t making enough money lately» the cashier informed me. Huh? Since when does it make sense to piss people off by charging for things that no one else charges for to «make more money»? Whatever, Trump. Let me know how that logic works out for you. They also dole out napkins from behind the counter giving you maybe one per sandwich. Really??? The only other place I ever saw do that was a pizza joint in Pt Loma that was owned by some foreigner who was more focused on getting his costs down than on his customers… go figure; he is now out of business. Take the hint, Mr. Cheap Ass Arby’s Owner: What’s next, you start charging extra for the napkins? People will just stop going there. Maybe if you can’t manage your costs you should just put yourself out of everyone’s misery.

POPQUIZ, HOTSHOT: You ever seen anyone in a bad mood at Arby’s? I didn’t think so. You ever seen any other fast food chain that specializes ONLY in roast beef? Didn’t think so. You ever been to a place that gives you cheese sauce on the side for FREE? Yeah. Didn’t think so. Ever seen a SAUCESTATION? Nuh uh. Ever had anything left on your tray after eating at Arby’s? Don’t lie. You finished that shit. 5 stars or Roast(beef) in HELL.

Always double-check your to-go orders… ours was incomplete. Other than the missing food on our to-go order, the food and staff is wonderful here. They accept multiple coupons(if you’re into that), and they follow-up during/after the order. One of my Mira-Mesa favorites:)

Curly fries ftw! They are always made fresh to order and it is so crispy on the outside yet so soft in the inside! To die more(metaphorically please!). Personally, I am not a big fan of their roast beef and cheddar sandwich that they always have a deal on, but I like their fairly new market fresh sandwiches which is always tasty. They have a few options from turkey mean to the Reuben and they all taste fresh. I also enjoy their cheesesteak every so often when I feel like having something a big unhealthy! It comes out warm with the cheese oozing everywhere on a toasted sub and they don’t skimp out on the meat and veggies!

I’ve been going here since I was 6 years old. I hit it once or twice a year, and maybe I would go more if I was into fast food more. I also kind of forget that this place is here. Lots of memories here. I used to hit Arby’s up after Hockey games, back when it was a true 5 for $ 5. People always say that Arby’s(anywhere) are getting run down. I think everyone is right. The quality of the food is just fine and the people at the Mira Mesa location are very friendly. The eating area and building are just a bit run down. Not unsafe… just old and beat up. Maybe the Franchises in SoCal are not doing so well. I’ll still hit up Arby’s every once in a while, I mean they have the best fries ever and the Arby’s sandwich. well, when you add BBQ sauce… it can’t be beat.

I love Arby’s. Any Arby’s. Anytime. Yeah sometimes you might get a teenager who doesn’t want to work there but hell, the food is still good! I’d say 5 stars but there is no drive thru. Sometimes you just want something you really like on the run or just munch at home. They’d make a killing if they put one in! I’d come through almost every time after the climbing gym.

My dad is always buying food for my sister and I! We all just had dinner too! He got us fish sandwiches instead of their infamous roast beef sandwiches. It was actually pretty good– the fish was hot and crispy. I also love their curly fries and bbq sauce!

DON’T DOIT. DON’T. DON’T!!! I’ve been here twice, once when it was busy and once when it was empty. When it was empty, it took approximately 20 min to get our food(yes, read it, TWENTY minutes) and when it was busy, it took approximately 30 min to get our food. I thought this was a fast food place? In terms of other aspects of the establishment, the interior is dated, but relatively clean. The prices CAN be decent. The service is AWFUL. Besides the fact that it takes years to get your food, you can see the workers working and they are incredibly incompetent: slow, gossip-y, and with a don’t-care attitude. On my most recent visit, the workers kept mixing up orders. I would understand making one, maybe two mistakes. But when you visibly make 3 or more mistakes on easy orders within a half hour period, you should be fired, you don’t belong in the restaurant/food business. I know that’s harsh, but even I could do a better job than these people. I don’t usually get so angry/frustrated with food establishments, even when they make mistakes/perform horribly, but i was EXTREMELY agitated after visiting this place and watching them work at snail speed and continue to make the same mistakes. The food just ISN’T good enough to tolerate this type of bad service and long wait times. If you must have your Arby’s, go to a different location, because this one, quite frankly, is horrible and not worth ANYONE’S time.

This location is a little creepy. I’m not sure if it’s the parking lot or the creepy people eating their food in there when I was there today. There’s no drive thru at this location, but that’s ok. The line was long, but moved quickly. For some strange reason the«manager» that was there today looked like she didn’t know what the hell was going on. The cashier«Hector» ran the entire place by himself, and was the ONLY one who knew what was going on. Dee dee dee to the manager. All in all, it’s a fast food place. I wasn’t expecting something fancy schmancy. Pros: –Dude, they have Diet Dr. Pepper –Horsey Sauce Cons: –No drive thru –Creepy patrons and parking lot.

Okay, I try not to review national fast food chain restaurants unless I have a really good reason — too easy, and there’s no challenge in it — but I’m reviewing this particular Arby’s for the following: You need to get a token from the cashier to use the restrooms. Seriously. I know some parts of the Mecca are turning ghetto, but I think that my ‘hood isn’t THAT bad to require a token to use the restroom.(I know Roberto’s down the block requires a key — perhaps it’s that part of Mira Mesa that thinks they need extra security in the restrooms to justify the use of keys/tokens.) Other than that, nothing too spectacular about Arby’s. I do love their potato cakes and roast beef sandwiches(Beef and Cheddar FTW!), but this place is a bit overpriced. Order off the value menu, or use one of the ubiquitous coupons that come through the mail if you can. PS: No more packets of Arby’s Sauce to go? WTF? That stuff is awesome; you can’t help but get some when you order takeout!

Best condiments for a fast food chain(Arby’s Sauce and Horsey sauce), edging out Del Taco’s Mild and Del Scorcho sauces. This non drive thru is reminiscent of my experience at Popeye’s down the street. Crowded, a little disorganized, but the food is ready before you have a chance to fill your fountain drink. — ONLY buy items via coupon or dollar menu. Regular prices are too high. — The classic roast beef sandwich is the best(with Arby’s and horsey sauce of course) — This place has pump condiments, which are often empty. — NO to-go packets(major piss off) Rant alert — I like to take a second to blast Jack in the box for killing off their«secret sauce». Yes, I know when the Bonus Jack is available they put it on there. I want it all, I want it now.
