Gorgeous décor! FABULOUS cupcakes!(They were on cupcake wars so obviously they are DELISH) I got the chocolate butterscotch toffee and it was so good!!! For $ 3.50 I think it’s really well priced for location and quality!

We always stop here when we visit seaport village. I haven’t absolutely loved everything I’ve tried but I haven’t hated anything. I’m definitely a cake person over frosting. They do cake well. The. Chocolate cupcakes are the best. Their chocolate is not overly sweet and decadently bitter and dark. Their chocolate espresso cupcake is the absolute best. I also like the toasted coconut. In my opinion these are way better than Sprinkles.

We tried a whole bunch of cupcakes from this location! chocolate almond coconut — my mom loved this one even though she’s not a huge fan of coconut. It was a really rich and smooth tasting cupcake. apple oats molasses — this sounds far more healthier than it truly is, each bite is as decadent as any other cupcake. The natural sweetness of apples balances the heartiness of oats and flavor of molasses elevated this cupcake to a whole different level Strawberry lemonade — my toddler chose this but wasn’t a huge fan of the strawberry jam filling so he polished off the frosting on top and then the cupcake all around. Blueberry hazelnut — a delicate balance of flavors with a inner filling of blueberry jam, this one is yummmm!!! Chocolate toffee butterscotch — though it’s a more classic flavor, it surely did not disappoint

Visited the shop last August and purchased a chocolate & peanut butter cupcake. I’m a baker and a huge cupcake critic so I expect moist cakes from bakeries. The cupcake definitely wasn’t dry, but wasn’t as moist as I’d hoped — they are refrigerated which I’m also not a big fan of. I like room temperature pastries rather than refrigerated ones. The frosting was delicious as well as the toppings, but overall it didn’t wow me with flavor or quality. The shop is clean and had nice bistro seating outside of it. I’m looking forward to giving this vendor another chance this weekend at a beer & food festival I’m attended. I’d like to try out their beer cupcakes so hopefully I’ll be wowed and I can up the stars on my review!

My boyfriend & I walked in because we saw they won cupcake wars and I am a huge fan. We got the Apple Oat molasses & it was delicious. However the workers were SO unfriendly! The cupcake was the best I’ve ever had, but I was extremely sadden by the employees. Needless to say, I would recommend this place & I would go there again. But I wish the workers were a little more pleasant.

We found this place after eating lunch at shoreline village and enjoyed the chocolate fudge and a strawberry cream cupcake! They were fresh and looked great in the display case. The staff was friendly and described all the flavors they had. There is also a small patio in front where you can sit and people watch and enjoy SD. I would like to try other flavors next time and some coffee.

Talk about the absolute best cupcake I’ve ever had in my life! We shared a blueberry and a strawberry cupcake and I was in absolute heaven. The cake is so moist and the frosting is the lightest frosting I’ve ever had. Wow! I’m pretty sure I could have eaten a dozen of those strawberry cupcakes and would have continued to crave more. This was such an adorable little shop, hidden away between other shops. I wish I lived in San Diego because if I did I would get cupcakes from here for parties, my wedding, or just on a Tuesday. I can’t say enough good things about this little dessert shop. Give them a try, you wont be disappointed.

3 gf cupcake options! The chocolate almond coconut was fantastic! And it was THECUTEST littlest place. Went back the next evening, def was picked over but I still had 3 different gf options. I went with a lemon poppyseed. Great texture of cake and frosting. It actually had a bit of saltiness… really yummy. I also tried a bite of the gf espresso chocolate w cherry, definitely had all 3 flavors represented!

YUM! I did not expect to find such delicious and inventive confections smack dab in the middle of touristy Seaport Village. I was wandering around killing time before my next meeting, soaking in some sunshine, and their very clever marketing pulled me in(they have a sign out front that shows their victory on Food Network’s Cupcake Wars). The shop is small, but very quaint and tastefully decorated in pale mint greens, whites and greys. Their flavor combinations spanned from red velvet, chocolate peanut butter to more unique offerings like blueberry hazelnut, toasted coconut and the one I sampled, the lemon blueberry lavender. I asked the girl working to help me decide between lemon blueberry lavender and coconut, and she steered me towards the former. Boy was she right! I don’t have much of a sweet tooth, and too much sweetness can push me right over. This was ONPOINT. Delicately flavored, with a soft blueberry, reminiscent of gelee right in the middle, but it wasn’t overpowering or fake tasting. The lavender was light and heady, but the cupcake wasn’t floral, thank goodness. Light, bright and tasty, with a perfect amount of icing. I loved it, and could have eaten four, but the portion size is just right, similar to a cupcake size that would come out of your own kitchen. I paired this with a passion-fruit Italian soda, and it was the perfect accompaniment. Not too sweet, but nice and refreshing. There is cute, covered seating out front, where you can sit and enjoy while watching passersby. The cupcakes are $ 3.50, which seems about par for a specialty cupcake shop, I paid about $ 7 for my cupcake, soda plus tax. I tend to think«themed» dessert shops can be overrated, but I highly recommend Frost Me! You won’t be disappointed.

Very happy girl right now! We got this amazing blueberry hazel nut cupcake, my husband got the apple molasses and my little girls got the red velvet and chocolate cupcakes. Definitely worth the price.(we got 6 cupcakes for 19.00 dollars) Can see why they were on cupcake wars

This review is only rated on the Caramel Cashew. During the after hours in Seaport Village at the Busker Festival, we had the oppurtunity to try the hot chocolate and a frost me cupcake. The shop is quaint and the employees are nice. As far as for the cupcake, I found it to be terribly sweet. Perhaps, I should gave gotten a coffee instead. We ordered a caramel cashew cupcake, described on their website as: Caramel orange zest cake topped with caramel frosting, sprinkled with roasted cashews and orange zest. Hubbs loved it, so if you have a sweet tooth times 10, I think this will be appopriate. For me it was really sweet, that I could not enjoy the cupcake. I want to come back and try the Chocolate Dulce de leche Habanero. I orginally wanted to order this, Hubbs really wated yhe caramel cashew… i couldn’t say no to that adorable man. Ihope to wowed next time!

Nice… the cupcakes were fresh. Almond raspberry was my favorite. I gave up paying 3 plus bucks for cupcakes a few years back, when the craze was at its peak and there were stores on every corner but had too this time.

BEST. CUPCAKES. EVER Frost Me made our wedding cake as well as 80 cupcakes made up of four different flavors. They were a hug hit. Frost Me makes a really delicious cake and all flavors are like a party in your mouth from the very first bite! Thank you!

Truthfully honest review about these cupcakes. I enjoyed the chocolate almond coconut, cake was a little more dense as I like, ganache was silky smooth and gave me hints of a chocolate liquor and the coconut filling was sweet and tasty. Overall the cupcake that maintained the stars. The Apple molasses(spice) cake was soft and fluffy, fell apart on me easily. My girl said she had tasted better from a different bakery and her pallette far exceeds my own. Apple filling for me was missing as it felt more like an apple sauce instead of an apple compote. The blueberry hazelnut was missing on all flavors for as b it felt lacking on compote filling, topping and cake. Overall they’re good cupcakes but nothing that you would rave about and write home to momma about. Would visit again and give a second shot just to see if they bring other flavors that have me running to them. Especially in a city where donuts, cupcakes and desserts are a huge part.

I’m kind of obsessed with their cupcakes. They are light and fluffy and the frosting has a lot of flavor without being overly sweet. Although other people are complaining about the size, I actually found this a positive– do you really need a day’s worth of fat and sugar in a dessert? I thought their size was perfect for a treat. The service is friendly, the tasting room small and cute. They also have french press coffee, which goes really well with the baked goods!

Not going to lie but they are smart with the advertising because they lured me to eat one of their cupcakes with their sign that says they won Cupcake Wars even though we weren’t looking for a cupcake place. I got the Red Velvet Cupcake which was $ 3.50 and the total should be around $ 5. To me, $ 3.50 for a cupcake is really expensive and the size of the cupcake that I got was really small. The cupcake was good and delicious but the frosting on top was too sweet where I had to put it aside and only ate the bottom. Their service was very nice and they were able to answer our questions about which cupcakes sell out the most. For me, I was caught off guard at how sweet the frost was because I have tried a similar place before and it was different. I would give this place another shot and try another cupcake because I’m a believer in second chances. For those who are in the area, you should definitely give this place a shot because to you it could be very delicious!

I decided to check this place out because it was national chocolate cupcake day. It’s a cute little shop with friendly service. But the cupcake was one of the worst I’ve had. The frosting was way too sweet and I didn’t like the fact it had sea salt in it… why does everything have to have sea salt in it? The cake itself was very dry and lacked flavor.
